I would love to see "The Tethered" from "US" as a chapter or even a paragraph
It would be a lot of footage to cipher through, but they kind of did make a statement about him. It was on one of their dev streams at least a year and a half ago. Heck, it might have been back when they did them monthly, which would be 2.5 years ago or longer. Pretty sure it was Cote and not_queen on the stream. But, yea, they were pretty adamant about not doing it.

You should ask if they will used the remake version of the creeper that isn’t used by Victor slava because the next jeepers creepers movie is a reboot and will have a different director.

jeepers creepers would be an amazing chapter in DbD, but even with jeepers creepers 4 it was still created by Victor Salvo. And I think promoting the work of a scumbag like Victor should never be done!!! I hope it never comes to DbD!!!!!!
Personally, alongside Victor Salva being a monster, I also didn’t like the other movies at all. I thought they were boring and the Creeper was a mix and match of features from other horror movie killers that was lazily put together. However, for this new version of the creeper, I’d be okay with it under the following conditions:
1: Salva doesn’t see a cent or any kind of support
2: the character and/or the movie is interesting
However, I still think there are better characters to bring into the game.
Original Creeper: Not ok!
New Creeper from Reborn: Ok
How about: The Predator and Dutch.
Now that will be a perfect chapter. And the map could be The Jungle.

There are other potential licenses they can do. Even if the new stuff wouldn't be directly benefiting S. the older stuff would still get indirect exposure which will directly benefit S. and enable him to keep a word more persons or keep getting away with it.
Dbd's probably got 4-5 more years in the tank if we're being optimistic. The man's in his mid 60s they can simply out live him while the game collects other IPs they can get (horror is way more than just films, they can always tap more into tv, video games and comics) at which point who knows who could have the rights by then.
As long as he doesn’t get anything or so little it’s meaningless I’m fine with it.
My opinion on this I would love for him to be in the game the issue I have is that the character itself is still connected to Salva its his creation regardless if u cut him from the franchise. And that is my problem whether he receives anything from the movie reboot he still wins because his character that he created will still be getting used.

He can still make money on the new jeeps creeps because, he can make a lawsuit against the new director and Take the lawsuit of Friday the 13th for example .
I suppose a concern is that – even with a movie disconnecting Salva from the franchise – people may worry about it still being connected to the original idea. Using the same name alone is carrying on the legacy.
Really, there are 2 things that could be done: 1. Remove "Jeepers Creepers" from the title of future movies to sever the ties more, and 2. Give more emphasis to Bradley Parker, who was the individual who designed the creature; separating the actual creator from the Salva name.
But really I can see both sides, but the name is tainted with Salva. A complete rebranding and new mythos is really required to move it further away. Until then, there are more requested options that BHVR would be more interested in: "Alien", "Candyman", "The Evil Within", "Hellraiser" and "Outlast" are some of the many.
Look, I know everyone has a grudge against the filmmaker or what not, but it would be cool to see a flying killer. I did enjoy jeepers when I watched it but I wouldn't mind if it did or did not get added.

While I would like to see the creeper in DBD, most people would probably condemn Behavior for adding it due to Victor salva's egregious actions. As long as salva got ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from the license being rented, I'd be fine with it.
The way I see it, the creeper is like a gold bar in a trashcan. You don't have to take the trashcan, you can just take the gold bar.
Personally, while I hope and pray that salva stumps his pinkie toes as hard as humanly possible on everything he walks past till the end of time, I genuinely enjoy the movies (mostly the first 2, the third one was too much of a tryhard action thriller) they're turn your brain off b-movie schlock based around an absolute earworm of a song with somewhat decent prop work and scenery design however, that's because I can separate the art from the "artist" and I use the term "artist" in the loosest definition possible.
I can however, understand if you can't enjoy the franchise because you associate it with salva's rat face and horrible actions and to that I can only say "I envy your conviction".

Is it okay if I'm just not interested in Jeepers Creepers, creator aside? I didn't care for the first movie when I saw it back in early 2000s.
I’d rather get a character from an actually good movie like Jack Torrance or Pinhead.
I don't think they ever will bring this into the game. They would be outright paying a known pedophile for their license if they go with the original.

The reason why it won't be a thing is because BHVR already attempted creating a flying killer and it created way too many issues that they just don't want to experience ever again. It was years ago during one of the big streams Mattieu dropped that bomb on the audience so it pretty much shut down the idea that the creeper or any other flying killer would ever come to DBD. So many people say the same thing specifically because of that stream. I believe it was either Year 2 or Year 3 stream where this was mentioned.

It seems unlikely because it was made by bad people. Which can definitely be bad for the company. Also for some people it may not be the most marketable killer compared to others either.

Even if the creator doesn't get recognition, I cannot and will not buy this killer. Even with all that, DBD would still be promoting the original movie and even if they strip the character away completely it would still be a trapper/Jason situation. Also I cannot have fun with this killer knowing about its creators past as a constant reminder in game. I cannot separate art from the artist that well especially if the artist's past is this atrocious and with that, I'm out.
Honestly forget the Creeper, put in the Lipstick demon from Insidious. They have similar designs, the Lipstick demon is way creepier, and you wont be giving money to a pedophile.
