Any criticism the devs receive is most likely deserved.
There are 5 huge reasons
First off they think use rates is the only factor that matters in how powerful a perk is.
Due to this they have nerfed one of the weakest survivor perks self care.
2 the hillbilly nerf was another example of their incompetence.
They said he was the most balanced killer and then they nerfed him and it was a nerf that didn’t even effect the only problem players had with him which was his addons.
His basekit did not need to be touched.
3 they think death rates in games determine which side of the game is stronger.
This is dumb in of itself because a lot of those survivors who are dying tend to be the same survivors who die in a lot of their games.
The survivors who are good are more likely to escape while survivors who are bad are more likely to die.
At the lowest level of the game killer is strongest while at the highest he is weakest.
A good example of this is tru3s game against Otzdarva on badham.
Only tru3talent escaped and he and Otz were the only 8 hours a day year 1 players in the game.
4 the devs when introducing new content do not think things through when they add this content.
The first example is era 3 second chance meta and how broken multiple get out of jail free cards would make survivors play reckless as hell and not care cause they always had a way out.
Then there is era 4 when they added circle of healing in which they would nerf it multiple times for the nerfs to have no effect on its impact on the game cause the healing speed weren’t the problem it was the infinite free heals that broke snowball pressure.
Then finally they rework it as I and probably many others had been telling them.
But it’s the fact players of the game knew what needed to be done to these perks before the devs did.
The very last reason is the famous livestream where Korean comp players had to school these devs at their own game to show them how blatantly wrong they were on hag and flashlights.
It took public humiliation to force them to admit they were wrong on anything and that is just ridiculous.
I have had success with save on Myers. You just got unlucky with the obsession popping up everywhere you went.
