Every Status Effect in DBD – Explained FAST! [Dead by Daylight Guide]

Hi! In this 2-minute DBD guide, I go over every status effect in Dead by Daylight! Going in alphabetical order, I explain what each status effect does, who it affects, and show the unlockables (perks, add-ons, powers, items, etc.) that inflict the certain status effect!

NOTE: The yellow status effect icons are mean to be buffs, or status effects that positively affect the player.

The red status effects are debuffs, or status effects that negatively affect the player.

Timestamps for each status effect:
0:00 – Intro
0:02 – Blindness
0:22 – Broken
0:31 – Cursed
0:43 – Deep Wound
0:56 – Endurance
1:04 – Exhausted
1:18 – Exposed
1:23 – Haemorrhage
1:32 – Haste
1:45 – Hindered
1:53 – Incapacitated
2:04 – Madness
2:19 – Mangled
2:30 – Oblivious
2:40 – Sleep Penalty
2:50 – Undetectable

Some people will probably say YoU cAn JuSt LoOk ThIs uP oN tHe dBd WikI, yes, you could, but I made this short video so that if you ever forget what a status effect does, or want to quickly know what they all do without reading all of them on the wiki, you can just watch this video as a quick reference 🙂

  2. Skill checks aren‘t actually much harder with madness – they‘re just sometimes reversed and or pop up in a random location on the screen but the success zone stays the same unless the killer has a perk that makes it smaller

  3. Doesn’t bloodlust also deactivate when you get pallet stunned?
    Also, if you lose a chase but then shortly resume it, i’m prettysure that you get bloodlust back quicker than usual

  4. It's weird how Incapacitated functions, as with Twins they get the added bonus of survivors carrying Victor being unable to leave, but I don't think the same applies to Huntress hatchets.
