  1. The fun has been completely sucked out of the game over the years patch by patch. I felt ten times for hype for the Thrones of Decay DLC in TW than I have for any of the DLC or events DBD has done in the last two years. It's always a mixed feeling of "Cool new stuff" and "Now what are they going to fuck up this time", and it's just keeps happening over n over. Tired of it.

Edit: Also fuck locked cosmetics I love mixing and matching stuff so those are the BANE of my existence. If those didn't exist I would personally let everything else under the sun slide n still be playing.

  2. I took a roughly 6 month ISH break from the game. Not a flat out break but at the start is was a game a day that became a game a week that became a game maybe every 2 weeks just to see if I enjoyed it again. And this was from several things one burnout two the unknown really disappointing me. I had my hopes up for the killer and was expecting a stealth trickery killer but it came as a ranged chaser killer which was probably the finals straw that made me go to once a week-two weeks. Also the game feeling really really stale and the same things over and over. However I would still watch you and brans videos with a few extra sprinkled in like tier list of best survivors feet to lick or most dominant-daddy killers ranked videos but mostly just you and bran. And after every video I started playing the game for a single match. And slowly with the videos I found myself enjoying the game more and more. You two made me find my love for the game. BUT THEN my internet goes and does and we don't get new internet till tomorrow and the games broken to high hell with rubber banding and all that. The only way I've been able to play is by hotspotting my playstation and I don't have unlimited data so I've barely played anything online. But thank you kaiser and bran for bringing me back….now I can spend every bit of money I have on this money pitching greedy game. I'm so happy I spend 15£ on a single skin….
Not a collection of skins but a single skin Thanks behaviour. No but really side rant can behaviour actually change there money system because the one they just did was pretty pathetic. I mean think of how many skins Feng has how is it that they can't have skin packs…. Instead of 20£ for a skin you should be getting like 4 skins as a bundle for that price. I get it's there cash cow game but I'm not buying the bull that it's the only way they can get money and they NEEEED IT please feel sowwy for the Devs 👉👈 because there are many many many other ways they can still do it and have it be player friendly.

  3. Your point about how people say DBD is dying every mid chapter is stuff I’m used to as a TF2 player. People have been saying that it’s been dying for the past 4 years maybe more but yet it’s still there, still chugging along, do I wish Valve would do something about the bots and give us the Heavy update? Absolutely, but is the game dying? No, he’ll as of today there are currently 57,648 players in game right now.

  4. I'm currently taking a little break because of all the serious issues like rubberbanding and and the ridiculous MMR among other reasons. I know they apparently "fixed several issues" and that "they're working hard to make sure the game functions properly", but even if that's true it goes a little beyond that for me personally. For example, Solo Q as Survivor puts me with awful teammates, whereas playing Killer puts me against the rudest Survivor team imaginable and I just don't want to keep experiencing that, especially when 4 Survivors bring the same Map Offering which makes the game nearly unbearable. It also doesn't help that whenever I play with friends in practice games everyone else gets to play Killer and then when it's my turn everyone bails on me, and that feeling sucks. The game should be fun, not a chore.

  5. Honestly, between all of the things that have happened recently and all of the things that have made DBD a drag to play in the past, I don't blame anyone for jumping ship. DBD is probably one of the most unfun and frustrating games someone could play for any extended period of time, so burnout is completely justified. The balance of the game can swing wildly between killer or survivor, the state of the game can be a buggy nightmare to play, the community is essentially the QA team for BHVR, and BHVR themselves are so slow and incompetent, not to mention unaware of how their own game works, that they often times appear to throw shit at a wall to see what sticks when it comes to any form of content update/killer tweak/rework/balance change. There are many other things I could add to that list of why and how the game can feel frustrating and sometimes downright rage inducing, but I don't want to make a 3 page essay. What sucks is that most of these issues are not something that can just be fixed, and that is probably the most frustrating part about all of this.

  6. These are the exact reasons, MMR was a mistake and it still is. Even Fortnite from what I hear has better MMR. When you said about being good in looping the Killer but still get baby Survivors, for me it’s the other way. Whenever I play Killer and don’t perform good due to a bunch of unfair advantages and rage inducing moments, I still get paired with Survivors who should be in a tournament

  7. I finally got tired of the game being broken, balance changes that make no sense, prioritizing sales over game balance, flat-out lying to their customers and trying to mislead them, making the players jump through hoops to report a cheater or a bug, the massive imbalance of 4-man SWF on comms, the FOMO and other scummy sales tactics, and laziness at having so many perks/addons that are poorly-balanced.
Oh and, of course, the shitty way BHVR silences criticism.
New fixed dropped today, but we're on day 14 of the game being broken.

  8. I really can see how this game can burn some people out. To avoid that I play at night for a couple of hours. As for creators they have to play for hours on end. Burn out is increased in that respect.

  9. No, people are not quitting DBD any more than they normally would. The player count is stable with little variance. Has been for a couple years.

I'll add more if I can give your video a proper watch. For now, I'll comment for the algorhythm.

  10. Burn out, No Major Chnages to the gameplay, no additional game modes, nerfing good but skillful and fun killers to the ground, and leaving Strong Easier ones the same.

BHVR is slowly killing the game, I’m not saying it’s dead or even near dead, but it’s a slow decline that has been happening for years at this point, and BHVR don’t seem to care, or listen to the community.

I stopped playing DBD completely, I love the game, but I hate BHVR. At the end of the day, they are not adding to the game, they are just taking it away.

Also SBMM is an issue, we need 2 separate modes, a Quick Play, and Normal Play, one with SBMM, one without.

  11. 5:02 – maybe i'm just not part of the community, but i've literally never heard of any of these before today lol. except slushee, but only because i think another person i watch raided her one time on twitch.

also more to the point, if it feels like "doomsday" every time someone quits dbd, its probably because thats simply how the world likes to react to things right now. this isn't unique to dbd, or even just video games in general (speaking as an basketball fan, i've lost count how many times ive heard "the nba is dying" the past few months); however, it does seem to be amplified in the dbd community. its almost as if people want this game to fail, but they keep playing because they dont know what else to do.

  12. I've quit for the time being because I literally CANNOT play the game after the engine update. Even the "potential" fix they shipped yesterday didn't do anything to make the game run like it did before.

I am burn out on my Job also but I can not quit I got bills to pay I just can not move on instantly like a streamer can if u are burnt out of the game that made u then slow down on it if you quit it you are a loser and watch it wont work out playing other games and they be back and to that I say I never watch them again when they return small breaks ok but not out right banning what made you

  14. I’ve played this game for 6 years but started taking breaks after the first rework they gave Sadako. Since then I’ve only checked in for a couple hunts before taking another break.

They just keep doing so disappointing and questionable changes, often with no transparency whatsoever towards the community.

Also feel like the game slowly drifts further away from what it was 5-6 years ago, perhaps due to not many original devs being left on the team or perhaps I finally burned out.

I love my time with the game and still keep up with major changes while really enjoying my time with other games and communities. I’m sure I’ll jump back in at some point but I doubt it’ll become my main game again as long as the game is in it’s current state.

Either way, dbd has given me so much joy and memories and I will always cherish the game for that. There really isn’t anything like it

  15. Holy shit I haven't played in a month or two and just realised that this might be the death of dbd, and right before the casting of Frank stone and the dbd movie and all that stuff, my kind of burnouts are 2 weeks but now 2 months, this sucks

  16. I know I personally quit playing the game a long time ago. I still watch content on the game. It just got way too stressful to play. I mean back in the day I had fun even when I lost. Now a days the game doesn’t feel good anymore. Even winning isn’t fun. It Doesn’t really feel like there is much room for a casual player base. I always keep hoping the game gets better. But honestly I’ve been waiting for years. Also, great job on video! Btw
