Six minutes is being merciful on Haddonfield lmao. That said, I do actually enjoy it as trapper due to the prevalent safe window vaults and also a basement that is incredibly centralized while being nearly impossible to rescue from if I don't allow it
You can hear the pain in my voice. Laughing my ass off but holy cow they need to change it. I legit was trying!
and then mfs have the audacity to say this map is killer sided on the forums 🗿🗿🗿
TLDR : it’s the entire map
Can’t wait for garden of joy. Make sure to give us billy mains some shoutouts by the way
I can already tell how the Gideon meat plant vid will be like.
Nearly four minutes WITHOUT dead hard, that’s just nuts, with DH you could probably extend it to 6+, very good video though!
And this is why I play extremely territoriality with that three gen that always spawns around Myer's house if I realize the survivors know how to run these houses and loops. The 3 gen itself is also a problem once you wind up clearing all the pallets in that area too. The entire balance for this map is pretty trash.
Mans out here doing gods work 🙌🏻
game killer side -.-
Chase time in swf: Power Gates opened
Chase time in sq: 4 gens remaining
I genuinely think that new Haddonfield is worse balance-wise than old Haddonfield, and that's astounding to me. It is almost impressive how reworking the most unbalanced map in the game from the ground up made it even MORE unbalanced.
Really good video! Although you forgot to mention that Haddonfield is clearly killer sided as Z-walls don't spawn on that map
Next one should be eyrie of cronge😊
About the "2 windows on same wall on bottom floor in houses", how about we make it so it's like RNG? One window closed, another opened?
Also, you've forgot Myers' House, the main building. Generally itself is fine although without lack of openings in top floor, it makes for a really strong Unhookable spot once the Hook might be gone.
This is actually great survivor tutorial content lol, I now understand how to run the main buildings in Haddonfield. Honestly, a more clickbait title like "How to Abuse (and fix) Haddonfield Loops" might bring in more viewers. Apologies for unsolicited advice :p can't wait for Eyrie and Badham
There are DEFINITELY way worse maps, but it's 100% worth talking about Haddonfield as well.
Sorry for the long comment, i really enjoyed the video, it was really good. These are just some points that i would like to be addressed.
I am not an expert in dbd, not even that good. But i don't think haddonfield is that bad for killer as it was before the rework.
Yes those loops exist, that house is very strong and those fences loops too. But the number of pallets that spawn in those fences loops are random, they can be from 0 to 2, if you get 0 its a dead zone, 2 its hard to deal with. Also the middle street of the map is really weak in general, very few loops and very easy to camp survivors if you hook someone there.
While i would really like a series that shows the most powerful loops on each map and possible ways to make them less oppressive, i think the whole map should be put in consideration so if there are problems from the survivor side they should also be brought. Also i am fine with certain zones in a map being more killer or survivor favored as long as the map is fun and balanced. I love Dead Dawg Saloon as killer and survivor while i hate midwitch as killer and survivor, and those maps are both killer sided by many
I'd be honest if that was me and I got dead hard on second hit I would cry
I play at a high mmr on both survivor and killer and for me Haddonfield has extremely safe loops in the houses, but also vast deadzones in the street.
To win as killer it is best to control the 3-gen in the house with basement hooks. This house has a gen spawn inside on the 1st floor, right in front of its patio, 2 spawns outside on the left of the house. Most high mmr killers will hold this for dear life as it is the only way to win against good survivors.
As survivor I rarely have to take big risks to finish gens, until I go to contest the 3-gen which can be at any point during the game when I feel safe doing so.
Although I agree with what was said in the video, it did not address the powerful 3-gen that the killer inevitably camps. I wish loops were balanced for m1 killers on every map, but this would also be pretty boring. I like how haddonfield plays differently than other maps.
If we were to address the loops in this map I think it would only be fair to also balance the 3-gen. It is so silly how the killer can camp the gens all game and not face any consequences with certain builds.
