  1. I love DBD, I dont think it will be shut down by Evil Dead, if anything I think itll just be the grandaddy of successful asymmetrical multiplayer. Ill still play the game and will most likely switch between that and this one. But i really cannot wait to be Evil in this game.

  2. I don't think anything will compete with Dbd's gameplay loop. Each match is different, and the mindset of "oh well, maybe next match will be better," plagues us devotees.

Plus, I don't think "ripping bad guys apart" will do that much for them; cool shit can only take you so far. Look at Friday The 13th for example, being able to play as Jason and kill people with all these cool executions was so fucking sweet, but ultimately it wasn't enough to keep people around. Of course, that game failed due to a whole heaping pile of stuff, but you get my point.

Edit: Not to say it'll be bad or fail, but I don't think it'll take anyone away from Dbd.

  3. The problem with being able to strike back at the killer in Asymmetrical, is that it encourages gang up tactics, and SWF teams are already making it hard for killers in DBD. In other games, like Friday the 13th, it was at the point where a well-oiled team of survivors could dance over stunning Jason and just destroy him. So many asymmetricals have come and gone the way of the dodo, DBD is still here, despite DBD's flaws. As it stands, DBD is on course to outlast a console's average lifespan as a game.
