Trying out the new killer’s ultra rare addons, starting with Garden of Rot. Lately killer have been getting ultra rare addons that don’t seem too entirely useful, so we’re testing to see if the artist is any different.

  1. That was her nerf from PTB to live dire crows can no longer cause a health state when ran into by survivors.

If they're already swarmed it resets their repel timer, if not it turns into a swarm.

They nerfed her quite a bit from ptb actually, nothing huge but small changes here & there that affected her power.

  2. yeah the value of the addon is the initial surprise factor and then after that you can setup snipes with a bird+m1+bird combo better because they won't repel when healthy. even then it's mostly only good when they didn't play the tile. i don't think changing the time on it would make people play differently. they'd just keep 99'ing the repel until they take damage and then run away.

  3. Well if they just don’t repel you hit them again and have wall hacks. It disincentivizes something would generally be helpful for survivors causing most of the effects to be the hits you can get because they still have crows, meaning hits you get from zoning or just hitting follow up crows

  4. I've had Incredible games with this add on. You set them up to either be 1 hit down or a hit with crows and a quick follow up basic attack once there injured since your crow attack cooldown is shorter

  5. I think what this addon does really is scare them to not repel, so you can snipe them through walls more. In the off chance that they DO repel and they're within melee range at any point, you insta-win the chase. I think that's the thought process behind this addon. It does more for you behind the scenes although you probably won't get many one shots with it. It's probably better at denying altruistic play.

  6. The addon is strong specifically because the way in which survivors have to counter it. If they don't repel, then you can hit them. If they do repel, then you can hit them. It turns the swarm status effect into a lose/lose situation for the survivors. It's like DS where the fear of the addon gives more value than actually getting the exposed hit

  7. Problem with the add on is that it literally tells survivors you have it lol. If you know what Garden of Rot does and you see it on your screen from literally the first swarm you just will never fall for it.

  8. Personally I'm having much more luck with scourge hooks than pop and the hindered swarm add on occasionally pressures them into removing crows. I'm not half as good as you though, so grain of salt and all that🤷‍♂️

  9. I mean, Oni's louder in pre-game. Aaaand thinking he's hot and thus playing him makes it a bit annoying to be sitting there and hearing Kazan SCREAMING every 10 seconds.

Turns out you can click on the hook charms to make them silent.

  10. If I'm not mistaken, the add-on procs when you inflict the survivor with the first swarm so they instantly know not to repel. Maybe not the value you're looking for but value in itself. Allows you to use your power more. Maybe you could try a stealthy perk so they won't exactly know that you're coming without the assistance of Spine Chill or whatever the case may be..

  11. In the PTB idle crows used to hurt you when you were swarmed but the community of course said she was too op so they nerfed that huge aspect about her and makes crows just restart when you run into an idle crow. She would legit be S tier if they didn’t change this. Still an easy A tier. Just not nurse spirit blight level

  12. the strength of this addon doesn't come from the survivor exposed, but from their fear of being exposed. since they almost never repel after the first down they will be much easier to deal with using just your followup shots.
