Giving Thanks: Dead by Daylight Edition

It’s too easy to focus on the negative things in our lives, so let’s try embracing the spirit of Thanksgiving and talking about what we’re thankful for. In this video, I talk about each killer from Dead by Daylight and say what it is about them I’m most thankful for… only like two of the entries are sarcastic, I promise!

Make sure to let me know in the comments what YOU’RE thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. As fellow Knight foremost, I am thankful to play as him and that I joined DBD this year. I have been hesitant to do so in the past, but I can honestly say that this is one of my favorite video games. I play both as Survivor and Killer to get the maximum fun. Going up against cool killers, seeing their moris first hand and meeting interesting people too. The survivors are cool; I'm also glad the Demogorgon is back and welcomes Chucky to the DBD Killer family. It will be interesting to go up against him. Now, gotta catch that turkey "Grid! Demo! Sick me!" Xenomorph and Demogorgon chasing after poor traumatized turkey. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

  2. 1. First off, I'd like to say that I'm thankful for you, Das Food. Thank you for creating such a laid-back, cozy channel that I can listen to anytime I feel lonely. Love that you blend your background into your commentary as well. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! ❤
    2. I'm thankful that Halloween will eternally be loved because of what a great adaptation it is. Yes, it had issues, but BHVR had to give their first license strong content in order to entice players that it was worth their money. And it worked! Michael has both a spooky and hilarious legacy now. Burger King Myers, chainsaw Myers, shirtless Myers, moonwalking Myers, scratched-mirror, everybody loves him! The fact that DS is the most nerfed survivor perk and yet is still used frequently is a testament of Laurie's might and how she never gives up. That's why she's my first P100 character, she was everything I wished I could be during my rough high school years. I always give killers my items when I play as her and so many have been kind to me in return. Much like Jake, I'm glad that her toxic stereotype has diminished some with time. The same can't be said for Nea, Feng, or Nancy lol. Halloween is the reason I discovered/fell in love with DBD and I would give a lot to go back in time and feel that feeling of astonishment when I saw the trailer and gameplay videos of it for the first time. Thank you if you read.

  4. I'm thankful for Trickster bringing No Way Out to the game, I absolutely adore endgame builds on killer and this perk is an absolute staple, and even outside of endgame builds, it's nice to have a perk that prevents survivors from getting out pretty much as soon as the last gen pops

  5. I'm thankful for Nurse's Design and some of her cosmetics are really cool (of course, in my own opinion) As for Trickster, I like that they took the stabby aspect of Legion, and the yeeting power of Huntress and just combined them into one.

  6. I dont wanna lie, trickster is actually very good concept, his trailer is clearly the best and the music coming with it was straight fire. Now his power can be very annoying to verse but as i said, trickster is very cool concept and when i was new to the game i thought he was the coolest killer of them all

  7. your positivity is what first drew me into the channel and i love that you’re keeping the DBD community as positive as you can!! i also never realized how much i needed the list of killers to be randomized. as someone who loves watching / listening to DBD guides and such, hearing the same order can get a bit monotonous. here are a few notable killers with things to be thankful for that you missed: Pinhead added scourge hooks (mid right now but the concept is good, game-design wise. more fun ones will come in the future!), Freddy was the first killer to make you do a side objective (waking up / alarm clocks),, the twins added Victor my baby boy, the Dredge came with Haddie the best survivor, clown came with jiggle physics

  8. thankful for spirits absolutely beautiful design, the flickering, jittery movements and contorted expressions and pose are all just SO SO fitting for her, gives off shattered vibes which is exactly perfect!

  9. I know trickster’s aesthetic is divisive but I’m so thankful to have a killer with a fun look that brought eyes to the game that would not have been there otherwise – mine included. I think his lore is weakly written but interesting especially to me personally. Also, I know Plague was the first to speak but Trickster was the first to have lines in a modern language which I helped with adding voice lines for the future. Love my little guy <3

  10. Hey bud, your friend Asri here.

Loved the vid, glad to see you are enjoying all that DBD has to offer (and be able to honestly show what you don't like). Fun fact, I got to talk about a conversation about the difference between grateful and thankful, which at first glance look like they mean the same thing but they are slightly different. Just dropping off a little….Food for thought XD.
Love to chat again with you sometime!

  11. Fun fact: Pyramid Head's head is intended to literally be his head, not a helmet. I guess that's all the more reason to be grateful they didn't give him a face for some reason. 😀 There's a collectible figurine of him that shows the underside of his "helmet" is a mass of grotesque flesh and you can kinda see it in his Silent Hill 2 model and concept art, particularly in the back of the neck area.

I'm thankful they nerfed Spirit by giving her the directional phasing sound and having her kick up dust while she's phasing. I like playing as her because I legitimately find her mechanics fun and I'm happy the survivors have some counter-play against her. I know she's still strong but the old version seemed busted and I think I would've felt dirty playing as her (I only picked her up myself after the nerf).

I'm thankful for Trickster's menu music, it's a banger. And also Yunjin who is one of my mains.

  12. as a knight main I don't understand how you can comment good things about him but be snarky about trickster and make it about yun-jin. objectively speaking his power is less frustrating to go against than knight's (as long as you know how to loop around high walls)

people really gotta stop with the exaggerated hate for him. just say his aesthetic is nice if you dont like his perks and move on. so strange.
