Every game is always sweaty, canβt wait for Texas chainsaw massarce
SBMM was probably the worst thing they've ever added next to dedicated servers.
Question, is reaching 1600 the only time your killer MMR bleeds into other killers you havenβt played? Iβm def not in the top 5% but definitely donβt get too bad of players when I start with new killers.
Also, if youβre other killers are set to 1200, could they then revert back to a lower MMR and stay there if you keep struggling with them?
I always 2 hooks everyone and let everyone go at third hook and it might bad for them by raising their MMR unwantedly. But I play as fair and as fun as possible to make up for them. In return, I can play whatever killer with whatever build I like without playing like an asshole to sweat to win.
But I have a question: does BHVR able to detect or record in game action? Based on how they deal with tickets, I guess that they only depend on escapes to calculate MMR is because they cannot get any meaningful info in-game. I refuse to believe BHVR is so stupid. It's more like 'this is the best we can do and remake the game with better engine is not in our budget:
the rank system was so much better and the matches were 10x more enjoyable and also more balanced in solo queue.
I can confirm 2 hooking everybody as killer is by no means a guarantee to reach Rank 1, ranking up is simply harder than the survivor side. What also worries me is something I had yesterday playing a chill Myers match I caught a Feng Min during endgame (was on death hook) and because flashlights no longer require skill she got saved, after which the player talked a lot of trash despite being god awful at chase. The worrying part being that a lot of survivor players have no clue what playing killer is like and as a result feel entitled to start name calling specifically if they win.
It'll take me too long to list all my issues with MMR. One thing I'd have to say is that the sweat mindset has been enabled by recent perk designs, the meta, and exploits and unbalance in maps. People should not be sending me to Midwich in order to exploit the fact that I cannot hook people in specific parts of the map. I should not see a toolbox in the lobby and know for sure that it has a BNP (which is 90% true for me). I should not lose to a killer because they are just kicking gens and not chasing. The list could go on…
how do you check your mmr
also I believe a soft mmr system would be healthy for the game. but it has to use the grade system(the 4 categories). they literally created and don't even use it. the soft mmr would be like, people with the high grades don't go against people with low grades and so on. i don't think the matchmaking completely random
As a casual solo suvivor, DBD can be quite rough.. escape rate is low imo. One day I play 8-10 matches and get camped, tunneled and just overall stomped in all of them. Next day I maybe escape 3 times and loose the rest. I don't mind loosing as long as I escape once in awhile. Safe to say I play DBD more in moderation these days as it can be pretty depressing at times.
I really don't play as much as I used to to MMR it's extremely unfun and I honestly feel it pushed me away from the game.
Luckily I have grown a the most majestic muttons and enjoy spending my time instead suffering in MMR hell and watching you stream in twitch. π€ π
Would be better if I can actually see the mmr so I know where Iβm at
I stomped a team with Wraith on RPD so badly the other day that I had them all on death hook before a single gen was popped. I ended up farming the rest of the match with them and letting them go π
I personally enjoy the game much more as a party game, where I don't take seriously my match result. I don't play often enough to really build up skill, so I'm probably pretty low on the invisible ladder, except maybe for a couple of killers with whom I'm average.
However, I find it much easier to enjoy the game with this mindset as killer, as it's easier for me to set the tone of the game. Survivors generally see me playing relaxed and don't sweat too hard in return. It's easy for me to see a team that can steamroll me and think "Mmr blooper ? Let's not take this one to heart" and still have a nice time. I can also let last survivor get hatch as well to prevent my invisible number from growing quicker than I can handle, and give myself time to grow skill organically.
As survivor, even with a ridiculous escape rate, I somehow still get matched with some pretty good killers regularly (far from high mmr, but outside my skill level for sure) and there's no way as survivor to shift the mood of the game to something relaxed without letting your team down.
"From Hackers ….. and also info that have been data mined" .. Excuse me, but this is the same. Data-Miner's are NOTHING else, than Hackers. SBMM didn't changed the Game at all, only their "balance" did. They made the Killer-Role even easier than playing in SWF, a Million easy Bonus BP for me, so I won't complain too much now.
Bruh you really gotta avoid saying "dead" at the beginning of the video to not get demonitized. Feels bad.
I am telling myself that MMR doesn't exist and I have fun.
I never got into the sweaty stuff, I always bring whatever I want, sometimes strong perks, sometimes some meme builds, gimmicks or just perks I like (Altho on survivor I play 4 boons exclusively unless archives).
By saying it doesn't exist I mean it is there but does nothing, you still can be match with anyone.
I dunno I feel like I am the only one completely not minding SBMM and still having fun in this game.
As someone with a lot of experience in this game (especially as billy and huntress), if youβre a high mmr killer just learn nurse or blight. Most other killers in this game arenβt strong enough to deal with the crap map rng and sweaty matchmaking unless you play as nasty as possible on top of running slowdowns. At least with nurse and blight if you play very well you can win the majority of your matches without playing super sweaty, of which I canβt say the same for other killers. And donβt be concerned with getting hate for playing nurse or blight either, cause I promise youβll get just as much hate for playing a lower tier killer in a way that survivors donβt like.
Honestly making a one kill game a win would help with killer moral and make killers less likely to just use the worst load outs or killers for the dub
This comment sections is wild XD
I got a Q if u really high mmr on a few killers and real bad on some say like the nurse if u lose a lot on nurse does it lower the mmr of the killers you are real good at ?
MMR is a Hoax!
Those who were there before will remember:
They wanted to make the Ranks invisible!
The Community made a huge Wave of shitstorm square 2…
they said ok…
then they announced MMR…
which is invisible!
They just did nothing!
Its the same Chaos it always was!
I am not in the high mmr bracket yet (on killer) and my approach is the inverse of what you are doing. I start slow, but the moment I notice that they are playing well I kick it up a notch, if gens still fly by I go a little sweaty, though I do refuse to tunnel unless it is intended as "punishment for bad behavior" of a specific player. Against my oponents that is enough to guarantee 3+ kills in almost all matches, from what I saw in streams your way certainly seems mandatory in the higher bracket :/ .. which is sad. 3v1 is already game over for survivors unless it happens just before the 3ed gen pops and even than it is hard to get through the rest of the match alive..
Casual Shills: "YOU JUST WANT EASY GAMES, ONLY BULLIES AND TRASH PLAYERS CRY ABOUT SBMM! π€¬π€£ GET GOOD"
Same Casual Shills: GOES INTO CARDIAC ARREST THE SECOND THEY GET FORCED AGAINST THE SAME LEVEL OF SWEAT FOR A FEW MATCHES … "ITS NOT FAIR , PLAYING THAT WAY IS BORING AND ISN'T FUN FOR ME. BALANCE IT MORE FOR US OR IM QUITTING π‘π"
Congratulations on another great video upload. Like commented and shared
Itβs a shame skill has nothing to do with matchmaking β¦
SBMM has made the game worse in my eyes. I used to be able to run a Varity of perks for fun and still feel like I had a chance where now I feel I am shoehorned into the same 4-8 perks on both sides of the game.
I was wondering why when I try a new killer I have never played before I got the sweatiest of sweaty survivors, that explains it lol
As someone who plays solo que 99% of the time, SBMM breaks my heart :'( I feel like I'm just stuck in a loop to be stuck in the low MMR with people who are new to the game, and don't know to go for unhooks, and heal and stuff, work on gens, etc, and I just constantly die, no matter how well I play. Like I have 4k ish hours in the game, but if you were to go just for my death rate, you wouldn't know it because how often I just get left to die on my first hook while my whole team is hiding in a corner expecting the gens to just pop on their own.
2:00–2:20 I mean I always say this 0-1k lost 2k tie and 3-4k win like there is a game called identity v it's literally like that u don't have to get everyone just either 2k or the 3-4k
5:40–6:05 this here as well before we used to think hooking was the whole thing and again we don't have to 12 hook everyone like we really don't have to survivors just wanted us to do that so they had more chances of escaping not because they say we had too etc etc but anyways it's literally based on kills if we need to get someone out of the game we will do so we not going to go all around and 12 hook u survivors not happening not all the time
I might not play a lot of dbd but I've seen enough of both sides from others and like I say this as long as the killers are the killers they aren't ur friends who going to be the nice person as u like they are there to get kills no matter what and if ur playing ur swf I mean don't act like u knew what was going to happen etc etc
I do care about players having fun however sometimes it will or may not be fun at what the results of the game goes for u it's this simple say ggwp or nothing and continue unless the killers ask questions and all that then yes u can say something lol but other then that just play the game as best u can
All my friends gave up on this game.
BS. Take a look at the steam API, every stat that is tracked (it's way more than you think), there's no reason a good algorithm can't be written to quantify those stats over time with different weights to establish average skill level.
How do ibfind my mmr? Yesterday i was playing with new players against a strong ttv tunnel blight level 100πππ
Game has been atrocious probably for the exact time you mentioned, a year. I remember before this it was actually tolerable. Did not realize at all this was put into the game (didn't realize or consider it wasn't in it either) so this makes so much sense why I hate this game (but still can't stop playing it).
My main dbd friends stopped playing and I've been using looking for group posts on xbox to find swfs and it makes it so inconsistent because a good majority of them are good players but need to get used to each other and their gameplay and communication. But if swfs are getting tiered with higher mmr then it makes sense why those matches are sometimes harder than solo queue. People in looking for group posts typically leave after they die. So it's unfortunate that in my circumstance iys usually better to play solo q
I'm missing sources for most of the "info" presented here. Are we supposed to blindly believe this is how it works?
"Unalive by Daylight" It's DEAD by Daylight. When the fuck did "dead" become a swear word? God damn snowflake generation.
um.. we already know it means nothing? it just meant how much time you invested in game
May as well just scrap MMR. My matches are always all over the place regardless.
I also think it's a problem that i can tell whether or not I'm going to win the game within the frist minutes or so
No one said anything about the way he started the video π
Unalived by daylight π
It's still stupid that I'm a console player , First time using Killers and players with High MMR always come in the same lobby . SBM is broken in every game especially in DBD & Cod
I want to see you die every single match and hit Iri 1. Be so fr
At 5:47, where did you get the info that bleeding people out increases your MMR? I recently had an argument with a survivor main who said bleeding people out don't count as a kill, and they are right in almost every aspect, bleeding people out gives no hooks, devout emblem quality or points at all. So she said bleeding people out doesn't give MMR either, which some people say it does, and some people say it doesn't, and I really want to know which of the two it is.
Used to have fun playing survivor. Now it's just unfun match after unfun match. I get really good killers, but yet I don't always escape. No idea why and my teammates aren't sweatlords. I feel like I get the worst of both worlds. This doesn't mean the killers are "good". Many of them play cheesy just for the mmr. As killer I get normal players mostly, but then it just drops some pro leaguers on me randomly.
Yeah I think the mmr system is stupid. Now I do think someone with 3 thousand hours shouldn't be in a game with someone who literally just installed. But you can do that without making casual competitive. If they want a competitive game, make a competitive gamemode.
