For the Ion Fury "Shoot the moon" easter egg, it feels like it's a reference to another game where you shoot down the moon as it text-speaks pain, Terminator Future Shock (and considering the references Ion Fury has to other media, I doubt this is an accident).
P.S. Another game that taunts/teases you for trying to leave (at least from the main menu option) is Killing Floor 1 and Killing Floor 2.
