BHVR released a new developer update today, detailing changes coming to various meta perks, including major nerfs to Boon: Circle of Healing, Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance and Dead Hard. There are new map reworks and accessibility features. The Hillbilly’s overheat mechanic was also updated.

  1. Well… Time to find another game – between bad MMR, the Tunnelling and anti-loop, 3 genning killers – solo Q was almost unbearable. Getting heals from teammates was a nightmare. But now, it's just gonna be L after L. Hard pass.

  2. The whole patch sounds like: "damn, we made some shit. Butchering it!" (they even confirmed basically billy's overheating was a mistake)

    P. S. Rip lightburn mechanic. It felt great rewarding it you had flashlight and could use it against random Wrath. GODDAMNIT! My favorite wrath flashbanging interaction dying too. We become poor on mechanics and gameplay diversity(

    P. P. S Hag change sounds the most shitty. Now swf will bully her more. And youll need to put 10 traps near hook and tunnel harder.

  3. Wraith is going to be so fun after this patch. Sloppy butcher healing now takes 36 seconds, if they decide to always heal, they waste a lot of time. If they don't, they go down like flies. Combined with Nurse's Calling and lightburn changes? He actually might be very solid. I think stealth killers as a whole benefit a ton from sloppy now.

  4. With this update I have even less reason to heal people. Very cool. I can’t wait to be tunneled out after 4 minutes because I can’t heal faster than I’m being downed

I understand the dh(dead hard) nerf, evan though I think it should not be a exhaustion perk with the change, because unless your facing a good killer who gets lots of hooks, but Boon Circle of Healing nerf was not needed, it was already a okay perk in my opinion, not to strong not to bad, and it wasted time to run to the boon and heal at 50% speed anyway, I unstand the change though, since they nerfed healing.

  6. I legitimately think this is the very first time I see the devs addressing the HUGE overperforming stuff on survivor side.
    And sure they took the opportunity to stomp some killer perks, but let's be real here, killers were so low that a little more nerf won't impact them at much at this point.

    It seems that for the first time the devs realized that the problem in the game right now is how way too overpowered everything is and how the general power level need to be brough back to a manageable level.

    (btw, I think that the visual terror radius is probably the biggest nerf ever to killer you could imagine. All survivors will have a giant warning sign alerting them every time a killer gets nearby. We'll see how it goes, but I feel like this is going to make the killer job even harder than before.)

  7. I just want flashbangs to be buffed
    And firecrackers in general to be buffed

    Firecrackers/Flashbangs: should have a increased blind duration of 3 from 2

    Firecrackers: should hold 3 charges so you can use them 3 times per match

    Flashbangs: should have tokens a maximum of 2 tokens so by completing a gen by yourself you get 2 flashbangs

    I’m a flashbang enthusiast and I’m a slight bit mad about the light burn removal because it was something that added depth to dbd other then looping
    And thought the light burn or just light mechanic in general could’ve been expanded upon but it’s fine just wished firecrackers and flashbangs blinded longer since you can’t put add ons on them nor are they very consistent if you don’t have practice

  8. Wow, these might be the worst 'fixes' to date. This feels like a joke, BHVR showing how out of touch with the game and their understanding they really are. The only things I can speak positively of are the changes to Autohaven maps and medkit nerfs. I'm not gonna praise them for adding a quality of life change to leveling up characters that's been long overdue among others, should've been in the game years ago.

  9. Personally, I think this is a good change. The decrease in ten regression perks requires a balance, which is healing. Survivors can work on gens, killers can down survivors by limiting healing. Also, let's be honest, circle of healing wasn't healthy for the game anyway; a perk that lets ANYONE basically remove killer progress by having ONE person equip it was kinda stupid, especially if the boon is put in a very out of the way location.

  10. Honestly DH needed that change, it would suck as killer that the first 3 ppl you chase each have dead hard and prolong your chase at the beginning of the match. RIP CoH tho.🙏🏽👼🏽 this patch will definitely encourage ppl to run different build and chose perks more wisely in solo. Which is good.

  11. I escape as survivor about 60% of the time and get at least a 3k as killer 90% of the time but everywhere I look people are talking about how hard it is for killer. Is my experience out of the norm?

  12. Thouse changes will make Nurse and blight miserable to go against. Funny how Nurse got “nerfed” and a month later they remove the only counterplay to her gone. Going against her and alch ring blight will be pure fun. 2023 dbd a time of genrush if you wanna win or camp and tunnel if you wanna win or play blight on Nurse for ez 4K. Hex, scourge and boon mechanic at state where its not worth a perk slot.

  13. Base-kit survivor across the board, med-kit's, flashlights, and the top 2 perks destroyed meanwhile the killer community be like actually this is a survivor buff because Pain Res and Billy got nerfed xD Lmao.

  14. As a hillbilly main, I'm pissed that they nerfed 2 of the 5 add ons that actually effect the game, and they nerfed the 2 that are the most helpful. Well you know dead by daylights motto, when it comes to game designs that are fun to play and go against, it's nerf or nothing.
