True, might I suggest a tip for gf. You had mentioned not liking to stalk, but if you 99 people and then expose during chase, similar to myers, it seems to feel a lot better and useful. Just a suggestion
Sorry I meant to click on like and got dislike! I wish they would rework him completely but they are apparently staying with the exposed statute idea smh.
Kinda funny seeing him complaining about the character's power when he's not using it properly, like stalking two people and going for the already injured person, or leaving chase while someone has half of the exposed effect still on. He should try the "an injured people is already 99" argument in maps like The Game, gas haven, coldwind or etc. It's like when he used to try to hit Pinhead's chain while the survivor were miles away and then complain that his abillity was useless, you need to know when you should use your skills in general.
1:13 is why Dead Hard is a stupid ass perk. Outplayed instead of a down for the killer it turns into reaching a God pallet and stunning the killer. gimme a break. the distance needs a nerf not the iframes.
Game should of had a built in voip system from the start and they could of used the logic of phones = range communication but the trade off is at all times, it's a hot mic situation. Sure things like Discord and other com setups mess with that but if it was implemented at the start, people would of accepted it. I do wish games and dicord could come together to make it where if the game detects discord, you will always be hot mic or Discord force mutes you. that being said. people would just use phones for discord if they really wanted to or setup to where discord can't see what they are doing.
My thing is, with the phone thing that True mentions as a mechanic, it were to work if they used the Ghostface from the movies, but they did not. They acquired the license from Fun World costumes, not from the people who made the movie. Thus, the only license they truly use in DbD is the rights to the mask, otherwise the actual character of Ghostface in DbD is one that BHVR came up with on their own and if you read the lore, he doesn't do the phone thing or using the horror tropes to kill like he did in the movies. This is also why Sydney was never added as a survivor and why the DLC isn't a "Scream" DLC, but rather a Ghostface DLC. He is a serial killer who stalks his victims, murders them, writes in grotesque detail under the guise of a journalist, and jumps town to continue the loop. Therefore, the stalking mechanic does work for him, but I do believe it needs work to better help him in chase.
That phone idea is fire. So he goes into stealth and anyone within 32 meters of him have there phone ring when he m2's in stealth. Anyone you catch turning off their phones is an insta-down. Still can be revealed tho and at that point it's not an insta-down anymore
Of course, I'll always disagree with the Stalking being bad (Lery's is bad for Stalking tho), but absolute legend in the loops with Ghostface, that's why I watch and learn. Cheers.
The phonecall idea with Ghostface, like from that one Operator in Rainbow Six (loved her semi-auto rifle btw), is a really cool one. I think Ghostface is low tier enough to deserve this tiny bit of 4v1 pressure. Makes hiding out harder, and maybe there is a point where you're forced to answer it (wasting 5 seconds), adding 20% Stalk to you. Then for the hit-and-run Ghostface's, we can make an add-on that does something else like add Blindness, Oblivious, Mangled and Hemorrhage if injured, etc. for 60 seconds.
The phone idea is really cool. He could have stealth and have an activated ability that would make all 4 survivors phones ring. They could even make each survivors ring tone unique to THAT specific survivor so you can like go after a certain person if you can hear their phone going off in your area. This is a really great idea tru3. Also.. ghost face should have improved hearing in stealth mode. Or get rid of furtive chase and put in a perk like "Dead Silence: Your actions are completely silent to all survivors. (Kicking Gens, breaking pallets or walls, etc) All survivor actions are louder to you. (Footsteps, grunts of pain, gen sounds, slow vaulting, entering lockers, setting their phones off as ghost face.)"
hmm maybe try blood echo instead of permo or undying i feel it will benefit you more getting downs quick for slowdown then the chance of boons stopping them breaking totem?
You could try using discordance so you can know when it can be a good time to stalk 2+ survivors for more value. You can at least 99 one of them for later and then hit the other.
And if discordance doesn't go off then you can just do regular hit and run.
Also having a power similar to doctor where he can set off phones the survivors are carrying to reveal their position/slow then down somehow is cool. It's a shame it's too close to the actual movie to use
downed and hooked survivors shouldn't be able to reveal him. That's so beyond ridiculous that they can. If they fixed that, he'd immediately be like 10-20% better.
I had a similar idea that I commented on Dowsey's video 5 days ago. My idea was that you pick up phones around the map and "call" the survivors. When you call them their aura is revealed and you become undetectable for 2 minutes and can't be broken out until you injure a survivor or the timer has otherwise run out. It would also be nice to get some Ghostface likes that the survivors hear when he calls like "Hello Sidney".
A suggestion for these types of videos: Consider clipping, for the first half you don't even mention your ideas for your design, wasn't that the point of the video?
Your thoughts are similar to what some people assumed after the first ghostface teaser. Mechanics tied to any interaction with phones. Such wasted potential.
Unbelievable gameplay. True is still able to get good results, despite the team having strong builds and safe pallets. Crazy that he can still play well against the game constantly babying survivors.
I'd keep the stalk mechanic but so you can highlight survivors instead of exposing them(For example, you can lean behind a tree and scout out the area, using the highlight from the stalk to find survivors). So no exposing with his stalk, however the ability will have a cooldown of 20 seconds as well as replace the stalk addons with attack miss stack addons(For example, some addon forgives 1 missed attack and lets you stay in your power, some addon forgives 2 missed etc). That way he'll be much sneakier and will excel at hit and run imo at least
I respectfully disagree, I think his current design would be completely fine and balanced if the rest of the game was in a healthier state. His power isn't designed with an active 4v1 ability, but it's the headgames you can play that make up for it, or would if M1 killers weren't garbage across the board. He's arguably one of the killers that rewards good tactics the most, and I think giving him a power that directly affects everyone like Doctor or Pinhead would take away his unique role in the game, and a lot of his fun factor. Bottom line, I think BHVR needs to stop individually buffing killers and give the attention to the core issues hurting all killers.
Love the yt content true

Sounds like Doctor's power.

How would you improve Ghostface on other maps?

Feel like true should be a dev
Nice Ghostface idea, more unique. Definitely think more killers should not have red stains as well, like Myers, Hag, and Sadako.

Devs can't use any likeness from the Scream films, that's why he doesn't use phones for his power, and why it was taken away from his Mori in PTB

If Ghostface was designed the way I want him to be, he would be the strongest m1 killer

Yeah, i feel legion got the best part of this update.
The ghostface changes hardly change anything and still leaves many flaws
Stack someone
pushes the wrong way
Sprint burst
Had it on a pallet
missed the swing
Leave them with 30 secs left on Exposed.
Blame Stalking LMAO

Not every killer needs to be anti loop tho

What if stalking revealed survivors auras instead of exposing them, and you just reduce the duration for balance?

Ghostface calls and they answer "we've been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty."
They could have also done where when you crouch with gf you can lean over objects
That Feng getting shit on is amazing
4:34 – 4:54 was hilarious. That DH made me cry.
As a killer who never uses addons except browns sometimes, I hate it when they buff addons and say they 'buffed' a killer
