  1. I think this mode is fun, but only if you accept it for what it is and enjoy the opportunity to goof off. I really don't care how many people escape. Normally I do try to win, but not here.

Personally, I've been using this to get my Myers 300 power ups achievement. I hate Myers normally, but he's pretty fun here.

  2. I am lights out strongest solider. I love this game mode unironically. I didn't get to play it last time. The best experience in dbd to me is that simple horror tension of "where did that come from?!", having the killer SFX and survivor screams in the background make a really great atmosphere. And on killer i love watching survivors freak out from me spooking them super hard. Being told in end game chat they were legit scared is always a treat.

I would agree on making some improvements in the gamemode towards finding survivors, i think something like a basekit whispers (something to give you an idea that survivors are nearby, and that your not off in the middle of nowhere for nothing) and maybe a basekit ds (because tunneling is really apperent) for survivors would sand out alot of the edges of the gamemode. The main complaint outside of those two i hear is survivors not being able to find pallets, which i think is fine, back when windows wasn't meta, that was the norm, and from being around that time, i didn't really struggle anymore than usual to find pallets personally

  3. I didn't like this mode as killer because of how fast gens went. I barely could get any fun jump scares with ghostface 🙁

But yeah you're right about survivor stuff. I noticed they also would just abandon the candles next to exit gates for pathing info…

  4. I won’t lie last night I pissed my pants doing a gen and nemesis came out of the dark an punched me. Couldn’t see him I heard the footsteps but I didn’t think it was him and I yelled so damn loud

  5. I would love a cookie, can mine be a gingersnap? Only difficult thing I've found in this mode is finding survivors who won't touch gens and hide in the corners of the map in the dark and hitting survivors on Yamoaka map, the random water puddles look like blood puddles from a distance and then you get closer and it's like "oh that's not blood, well wtf did they go?". However I hate that the fog dampens sounds for the survivors and that killers have no terror radius. I was even wearing headphones and I couldn't hear Nemesis' boot stomps until he was in range for a tentacle strike. In the last Light Out mode you had a visual threshold of 16 meters and if the killer was within that threshold you could hear their terror radius, now it's gone which is more thematic but it leads to a lot of free hits if you don't approach from the obvious angle. BHVR added the Candelabra's to help survivors find gens, but honestly they just needed to give survivors the base ability to see gen's auras within 24 meters of them and some kind of punishment system for when survivors don't touch gens (honestly they need that in the base mode too)

  6. Myers was the first killer I decided to try for the same reason, stalking to find survivors in the dark. Another good one to use is Dracula because in wolf form the pools of blood really stand out and are easy to follow.

Overall I like this mode, its a fast paced alternative to the normal mode and you dont have to worry about any op or annoying perk builds.

  7. It's like enough with all these other modifiers, just give us back our precious 2v8 permanently… As a matter of fact, I woulda loved if they just kept 2v8 permanent and just added each killer, and map to the mode every now and then. But honestly I'm just seething, foaming at the mouth, wanting this damned mode back already.

  8. I remember playing against a doctor the other day. After the first big blast in the beginning of the match, everything went quiet. I was working on my gen then I heard breathing down my ear and got grabbed off my gen. It got me good lmao. Lights Out is great for the horror aspect but I think they should tweak the candelabras to be actually useful for the survivors, not a death trap.
