How long does it take to Unlock all Characters in Dead by Daylight?
In DBD we have 33 non-licensed characters, and I’m sure that every one of you wonders how long would it take to unlock all these characters.

So firstly let’s talk about how you can get Iridescent Shards.
You can get Iridescent Shards by just playing the game. For completing each match in the game you will get some experience depending on how long have you been in that match. The maximum amount of exp is 600. For getting this amount of EXP you should be in the match for 10 minutes.

After leveling up your account level you will receive some amount of this currency depending on your level.
The higher your level is, the more shards you will get.
Now you can see the amount of Iridescent shards you can get per each level.

How long does it take to unlock all killers?
Right now we have 16 non-licensed killers, and to unlock each of them you need 9000 IS.
In total you will need 144 000 IS.

By my calculations, you need to spend 40 hours in DBD to unlock only 1 killer. So for 16 killers, you should play around 640 hours.

What about survivors?
We have 17 survivors in the game. To unlock all survivors in the game you will need to spend 108 000 IS.
So it will take you around 480 hours to unlock all survivors.

It means to unlock every character in DBD you should waste 1120 hours of your life.
