  1. AND THE PLAYS they make to get you off the hook at endgame… my god, you might as well have just left. Now the killer has gotten an easy 4k bc the rescue op was botched.

Personally I feel like it's actually a good idea to start and maybe even 99 the door before rescue because it doesn't alert the killer that 1 or more ppl are in the area of the previously hooked survivor's area. I look at the hook timer as a resource that should be utilized to maximize objectives. Obviously don't let them reach the next phase but before then any progression is a good thing.
