  1. This isn't why he's good at camping. He just drops his power and makes it impossible to approach the hook undetected while also preventing nearby gens. He simply uses his power again immediately even if it's canceled. If the guard triggers on the unhooker, that's the best case scenario. Either it's an unavoidable trade because all you can do is Shift-W in the situation where you're already next to him and a guard that ignores pallets/windows is chasing you, or you're stalled briefly, assuming you can get back to the banner, but even in that case, it means he left you to tunnel.

If it's triggered on the hooked person, he gets to freely tunnel and because again, all you have is Shift-W from him starting out in your face, so you're immediately fucked unless you're in a super strong tile somehow. And most will also run STBFL specifically to prevent this, so you often get the worst of all worlds where he slugs someone AND tunnels, or is able to prevent the unhook entirely with it.

    tl;dr
It's not that his power prevents the unhook, it's that his power allows him to immediately slug, tunnel, or both in a way that would make even Nurse blush.

  3. it's so wild to me that knight mains even do this to begin with, but considering how many people just enable it by taking no risk in front of guards it doesn't surprise me unfortunately

  4. just make it so he cant put his guard down in front of a hook why is there so much inconsistency with killer powers working and not working in front of a hooked survivor?

  5. The only issue with this is that when I play Knight I know the survivors are going to insta tap the hook to remove the hunt, so I insta M1 and grab them with a very high success rate.

  6. I see SO many people, Knight players and survivors, who think this that it's unbearable. I had a teammate let me go to second stage a few days ago because the guard was right in front of me, but the Knight was on the OTHER SIDE OF THE MAP

  7. I’m surprised ppl don’t know this already – I had a knight coming back to hook deploy his guard as I was unhooking and the guard attached to me at that time. What I still don’t understand is how the flag thing works really – it seems to take so long to spawn in and by then you’re already really far away because the knight is trying to pinch you and close the loop where the flag is so it’s no real use to countering the Artist type of play.

  8. I don't understand knight players that do this either, typically when I hook someone I have a guard scout to a gen from the hook due to that extended range add-on. Even if no one's there it might deter people from going to the hook, the haste will make up for traveling to a different gen, and the power is typically recharged by the time you are at the new gen.

  9. That's not how Knight camps. He either:
    1. Waits for the grab, which you cannot wait forever for because the ghost is going for you. He can force grabs pretty easly.
    2. He waits with his power on and releases it the moment you unhook.
