  1. The best way to handle frustration on Dbd is either by uninstalling it(because you don't need the unnecessary emotional baggage) or just chill and remind yourself that it is what it is and you're here to have some fun and relieve some stress.

  2. As toxic as it sounds, I promote DCing if you’re certain the situation of a trial won’t be fun for you. If that results in a long DC penalty from consecutive DCs, that indicates it may be a good time to stop for the day and play another game that’s more comfortable.
Try to make sure this isn’t a rule for 5+ killers or 8+ perks or something. At that point, you may want to evaluate whether you enjoy the game to begin with.

  3. I’ve taken a break for years now. I’m just mad at all the bad decisions the developers have made with things like SBMM and nerfing every perk into the point of unusable. Along with the raise of more aggressive play styles. This game just lost its appeal and it’s no surprise it’s not doing very well.

  4. I play DBD for the memes which is why I wish there was a casual mode. Yesterday I had a poor new and scared Feng in my match and a Wraith that was stomping our butts. So I decided it was time for an in game dinner. I gestured at the table while the Wraith approached and he was down with the vibe. We shared a DBD meal, went around the map and exchanged presents, and even played the piano together 😂. It was awesome. If I get too many matches with competitive killers I'll hop over to play Piggie and awkwardly grunt at them, seeing who knows how to boop the snoot.

  6. in my mind I just se it all as fair play, to my error or the survivors, thats why when I see bs on the survivor side like a latency hit and they teleport elsewhere I pick them up and let them wiggle or if it seems like im tunneling to o hard without realising I just leave them or ler them wiggle free, hell even if they plot twist right next to me and it triggers my infectious fright I look at them and just let them be because it's too funny to me.
i dint get frustrated because I play as dumb as possible and dont mind if I win or lose, at the end of the day im winning because I'm having fun
i main myres with scratched mirror too so theres a lot of fun going on here and me letting everyone live because I just do it for the jumpscares

  7. Wincons can be massive for helping yourself stop complaining too!!

Lately, people have been complaining about the new totem meta. To be fair, they’re not wrong, it is a little nuts with devour…but at the same time I have been enjoying shifting the win condition to “I will destroy these totems” lol.

I’ve actually ended up having games that were much more fun than I would’ve expected and had I just spent the entire time being Big Mad about Thrill, I would have not enjoyed it.

The killer congratulated me for my hard work in one game. It was kinda nice lol.

It’s also sometimes good to compare your current gripes with how the game used to be in my experience. This may be combatting negativity with more negativity, but I have been thinking about how much WORSE the CoB/Eruption meta was for interaction.

Edit: on the killer end, I would like to say that Shoulder is also broken as hell, but I do think that it’s good to note that it’s not nearly as bad as MFT was because it requires more coordination to truly be busted lol.

  8. As a survivor player with over 100 hours in this game, i have seen a few good and bad eggs in this community, i have seen toxic Huntress mains that completely destroy a team only to say "ez" in the end game chat and i have seen god Blight players that decimate a full team of survivors, sure the "RNG" this game has can sometimes be annoying and completely unfair but i have come to learn that i shouldn't be taking this game too seriously, when i first started playing i used to get so mad at my team to the point where i felt like uninstalling the game and never touching it again but i eventually learned to play the game more casually now, after all Dead by Daylight is a difficult game when against good players.

  9. I stress mostly because I'm still very new to the game with only 100+ hours and I often get matched with players who are so good they down me instantly. I feel like I'm given little to no opportunities to learn the game because I keep dying way too early. I think BHVR needs to do something in order to help new players

  10. This video came at the perfect time. Never in my 1000 hours have I felt this tilted. Around November my MMR sky rocketed for some reason. All the fun and FAIR matches were gone. For some reason I was going up against comp players with thousands of hours and P100 characters. It wasn't even close games. These games were a complete team wipe or gen rush to the point where I couldn't do anything. Along with this the end game chat was filled with salt, personal attacks, and straight up death threats. I always try to stay positive but it only got worse. Coming close to a 14 loosing streak on BOTH killer and survivor. What happened to this game? Something changed drastically and it has killed my drive to play. I have no moral lesson or piece of advice, just be kind and the majority of people will be kind back.

  11. Great video. I think a lot of DBD players can get value from this.
I will, however, disagree about the point on not limiting yourself. Pleasing others is certainly not the only reason one would want to limit yourself. I pride myself on not using gen slowdown or speed perks (except Bardic Inspiration) simply because I welcome the challenge (and I want to get that sweet sweet Blood Warden value), and honestly, my matches since I began that challenge have been much better in quality both for myself AND the survivors. The fact that the survivors tend to be happy is just a bonus.

  12. In rounds I usually just play for my own entertainment. It can happen that I get upset when I often lose or get tunneled out. And tend to keep forcing myself to play just to get entertainment out of it only to fail and become even more upset. That after like 2 – 3 hours of playing I had enough and just dip.

I don't even use meta perks a whole lot often, hell I sometimes use Invocation: Weaving spiders, Iron Will, Resilience and either Déjà vu or a different perk entirely all while I play Stealth + Gen rush. Main normal build usually consists of Light weight, balanced landing, strength in shadows and déjà vu. It doesn't matter to me that I only have less than 200h in dbd. I bought the game for my entertainment not because I wanted to play competitively.

  13. Blight + Toxic Try Hard Stereotype = Sad Alibi.
Its deserved though lol. I try to make it so in the games I play as Blight, I try to not endorse that playstyle and give the survivors a reason not to hate all blight players.
One of my "win conditions" is, Felix = Friend –> Alibi = Happy
