  1. Even though the reworked DH gives you some extra distance when hit, I believe that part is partially mitigated by you having to mend after (if it works like all the other endurance effects).

Granted, that still means that the killer will most likely waste more time downing you than it will take you to mend (if you eventually escape) and it also means that if the killer does end up downing you, the mend part is pretty much non-existant, but at least you will have to pay a price for using DH now (in some scenarios) so simply based on that, it is indeed a small nerf.

Also, you will no longer be able to DH through a trap, so there is also that.

I think overall it is still a nerf, but it might also be a buff in some situations, like Tofu mentioned.

  2. I didn't finish the video so sorry if you already addressed it but wouldn't self care + botany be worse now?
    How i see it [OLD]- self care = 50% healing speed ; botany 33 % healing speed = 66.5 —[ 50 + 0.33 * 50]
    [NEW] – self care = 35% healing ; botany 50% healing speed = 52.5% —-[ 35 + 0.50* 35]
Maybe I don't understand how botany works because i thought botany is increase the healing by a percent of what you have not a base 50%

  3. The DS nerf is gonna be, bad, from what I heard when there was a bug when DS stun was halved it was like useless. Tunneling is also so horrid. I got unhooked one game, the killer started to chase the person who unhooked me, dropped chase with them when they realized it wasn’t me. They then went out of their way to refind my scratch marks, and chase me and hook me again. It was horrid.

  4. With the new dead hard, I think it'll behave similarly to how it does now (it's an action you have to make before any other) but now it also grants a "hit" for the killer so I think some killer perks can counter its effect, kind of.

Also survivors will still have to mend afterward and waste time, THEN they'll be exhausted, and now killers don't have to wager spacing in a chase. I think mettle of man, and soul guard should've been nerfed with this Rework. An endurance build is gonna be very strong I think.

  5. I feel with DS nerf, if they wanted to stop end game play with it then just make it deactivate if they take a protection hit for someone. they tend to body block because they know they can either crawl out or stun the killer. thoughts?

  6. I’ll be honest I haven’t run DS as a survivor since I had less than 200 hours in the game, if I’m getting tunneled it’s NORMALLY because either my team messed up and unhooked me right in front of the killer but didn’t stay to take a hit or didn’t run BT or that I messed up and wasn’t able to loop the killer efficiently after getting away from the hook 🤷‍♂️

  7. Excited for the changes, but I don't see not running slowdown perks will become norm for killers like OhTofu said. I also don't understand the hex ruin change, honestly hex perks in high MMR are a complete waste they get taken out so fast it seems pointless to run them. But now just waiting for these updates to drop and roll right into it!
Also OhTofu's note on stealth perks is 100% spot on. Could be a major concern.

  8. Feel like they should've just reduced the distance by like 50 percent and so it does its purpose by avoiding a hit and it doest give a whole lot of distance but still gives a survivor a chance but also allows the killer to ketchup

  9. I don't like this argument that you don't "need" the bonus BP anymore because of the progression changes. Why don't they let us decide that for ourselves? Why haven't any of these fog whisperers thought about grinding for addons for those of us that don't have 10k of each? Ffs

  10. Regarding the Spine Chill change someone just said this to me in a dbd fb forum: I used Spine Chill being hearing impaired. I can't hear the killers heart beat on a gen. Most of us that have this disability relied on that. So they just f*cked us.

  11. Maybe the point of these changes is to make it easier for killers to get a survivor on the hook in the first place. If that's easier, killers may not feel the need to camp and tunnel.

  12. Some of these changes are amazing. I agree with some of Tofus views but I also need to remember that he's saying all this from the perspective of someone who has played the game for thousands of hours. I have not, some of the changes that Tofu hates I think are amazing. There is a skill gap between Tofu and many people watching this video, so, I think take his views with a grain of salt.

  13. So my opinion on DS is that it should’ve had a longer a stun duration but a shorter timer for the perk to deactivate. Once the survivor goes into the dying state during that period one period the survivor should keep DS unless they were picked up by a survivor and then it would be deactivated. Another thing that would be great is that DS could be activated if you grab a piece of a broken pallet and only able to work as it is now (after getting unhooked)

  14. Patch is 99% bullshit for survivors, the game is just gonna turn into an unhook cirklejerk and even longer gen sim. Killers are still not punished for slugging, tunneling or facecamping, Russians still aren't locked in a server in Antarctica, all killers are getting buffed and all good surv perks are being fucked with a cactus, shit patch

  15. It was far more eye opening listening to your critical opinions on the new gen regression system/perks.
Same goes for DS because I completely missed the POWERED (not opened) part and that off the record idea with no collision absolutely blew my mind because I knew there was something missing for anti tunneling but couldn't think of a solution for the whole body blocking thing.
Absolutely genius with your style of critical thinking. I thought negatively about most of the changes since I believed they addressed the wrong issues but it seems they're creating new ones that are buffed versions of the old problems.

Great video, I may be more unhappy but F it. I learned something at the end of the day.

  16. I think dead hard should be an activated sprint burst but only for half the time of regular sprint burst, you still have to be injured too. The whole immunity thing isn’t healthy imo. And now MoM is even more of a total trash perk.

  17. Scourge Hooks only effect 4 hooks. I wonder if it sacrifices those hooks for the basement ones with Monstrous Shrine. Or are they gonna be additional? It doesn’t explain it too well.

  18. What… the.. fuck…

Tofu belly aching about Monstrous Shrine because killers can play smart is an issue but then he says the shit about DS and Off The Record….. he's serious. That's fucking stupid. Nobody agrees with Tofu on this for good reason.

  19. The dead hard change was pointless… :/
Bc why are they making it to where u have to mend…that’s pointless, also are u still exhausted when u use dead hard so is it no longer an exhaustion perk??
I also feel like they are making this game more fun for killers than they are for survivors…Huge survivor nerf for perks and longer gen speeds
