  1. as someone who used to play a bit of clown freddy is pretty much just a better clown that has map pressure. I love the aesthetics of his dream world and i actually watching enjoy his gameplay. I Might start to play him. Love your content Red!

  2. Because of chat in the second match, I'm going to recall what old Freddy was like.

    Freddy's original power had two states for survivors, awake and asleep. In the original power, you didn't passively fall asleep. Freddy's dream projection animation was actually taken from his original animation 'Pull Into Dream World' where a survivor that gets tagged within 16 meters will begin to fall asleep, completing the transition after 7 seconds, not 13 like what chat was saying.

    Awake: Survivors who were awake could not see Freddy and could not 'touch' him. They could stun and blind him, but it was like if you walked into Michael while he's stalking, you'd just phase through. Freddy could not attack awake survivors. You would get autolocked onto them and whiff, but an awake survivor could not body block for an asleep survivor. Awake survivors could wake up asleep survivors with a 4 second wake up action.

    Asleep: Asleep survivors had two means of waking up: get woken up by an awake survivor, or fail a skill check. Asleep survivors had a 50% penalty to any action and had their aura revealed outside of the terror radius. You could only be hurt when asleep. If you were downed, you would need to be woken up before you could be healed. Getting pulled out of a locker instantly put you to sleep, but unless you were asleep, you couldn't get grabbed from a gen, totem, or vault.

    Freddy was changed due to his stronger ability towards newer players and his weaker ability to more experienced ones. Newer players didn't know how to counteract his aura reading, while more experienced ones took advantage of the 7 second sleep transition to do anything else, like finish a gen, vault a window, finish cleansing a totem, etc. Initially the idea was to play Freddy hit and run style, you sleep someone and spend the next few seconds sleeping someone else, break a pallet, break a gen, you get the idea. However, it wasn't rewarding enough considering you could have gotten an injure. And so, Freddy was reworked to be more easy to understand for new players (despite being the most complicated power we have), while also being more viable for more skilled players.

  3. Always annoys me when Red says "I could care less". To say this means that you do care about what is happening. He should be saying "I couldn't care less". I notice most Americans make this mistake 😅

  4. I hope they rework Freddy eventually, to be more interesting and fun. I also think there’s a ton of missed opportunities with him as a long time fan. It would be neat if instead of a lullaby he had a sound cue to announce he’s close like the sound of his claws against metal. Also wish his chase music was from the show but I understand rights are difficult ;-;

  6. I love Freddy & Red’s content! Great day i remember watching the second game it was a slaughtering.

    Also love the Slinger series one of my favs so far for sure! Would love to see Freddy & Trickster eventually 💪🏼
