  1. I know you were just trying to emphasize a point, but don't disrespect vecna like that man. he is one of the most horrifying characters in dungeons & dragons lore. Honestly that's my only nitpick with this video other then that Lara definitely deserves to be in this game if people don't understand that that's just them being belligerent man.

  2. Y'know, I honestly was a bit hesitant about Lara Croft as a survivor n was hoping it would've been a Walking Dead chapter.

But the more I thought about it, it started to make more sense that the Fog would take her. In terms of lore, I could see her being taken by the Entity n her potential with perks would be rather unique.

So I'm looking forward to her arrival.

  3. I saw doom and mortal kombat on the satisfactory survey a while back and couldn’t stop thinking about them being intergrated now that we are happily moving around horror. Any chance of a mk or doom potential or problems?

  4. Its kinda sad most dbd players don't seem to like laura because "She isn't horror" or the incredibly racist stance of dbd twtter "she's just another white woman survivor" (funny how the people who cry racism when elodie or haddie don't get skins are actively racist towards white people.) Laura is amazing

  5. Couldn't agree more. The moment D&D came into Dead by Daylight, I knew that this would open the door to more licenses, and I was happy. There are some people who want DBD to ONLY be horror, but to be honest, DBD is running out of strictly horror licenses, and those who DBD hasn't acquired yet are typically licenses known for being difficult or impossible to gain. If DBD wants to stay afloat, they need licenses. And if they're running out of strictly horror licenses, then the only logical choice as a company to expand to series that may not necessarily be HORROR.
I have no problem with this. As long as the license is at least a little bit serious and horror-themed, then it fits imo. Nicholas Cage is probably the LEAST horror license we've had thus far, and I see absolutely 0 people complaining about him, because they did him well. They've done D&D well, and now they've done Lara Croft well too.

I'm looking forward to the new licenses coming to DBD!

  6. This was my dream collab with dbd. I made a entire design doc on a chapter concept for tomb raider. I still can't believe this is actually happening. I was almost screaming when the leaks came out. So excited to play her.

  7. DBD is a horror game
    That is a funny statement.

In all seriousness, i have had this notion that DBD is much more of an asym game with a horror theme.

So saying Lara doesn't belong is a very dumb statement.

  8. The 2013 Lara and dbd at the same time were my Introduction to video games when I got my first gaming laptop for my 18th birthday so I‘m extremely happy about her coming to dbd!

(A little off-topic thing because of the things you said about ace representation: if you ever want to get into actual play dnd shows, the second campaign of critical role has a great canon aroace character that is part of the main cast from circa episode 30 on, apart from it being a great and really fun show. Its third campaign that’s still ongoing was the reason I started playing dungeons and dragons. Also, Matt Mercer, Vecnas VA, is the show’s Dungeon Master)

  9. Dude, I'm so glad I got into the Tomb Raider franchise before this came out. I watched my brother play the 2013 reboot back when it first came out, and I even played a bit of it as part of a class I took in college focused on game design. As a huge Uncharted fan, I was really excited to check it out.

I'm nearing the end of the 2013 reboot now, and I'm having a blast. Also, it was SO cool to hear about how you resonate with Lara and headcanon her as ace. As a bi demiboy myself, I latch onto many other characters I love who exhibit similar traits to me. It was so cool to hear your personal story of why you love Lara. It really makes me want to hear potentially what you'd want to see in a tome for her!

I'm sure wherever Tom is now, he's so proud of you. Because I sure am, from one content creator to another. Keep up the great work!

  10. I really like Lara Croft in dbd tbh! Admittedly I know next to nothing about Tomb Raider but what I do know makes me feel like she fits well into the game. She’s an explorer type character who gets into scary situations, so maybe she explored her way in the Fog either accidentally or purposefully. It just makes sense in my mind, especially with characters like Élodie and Haddie already being in the game.

That being said, my favourite part of Lara in dbd is her ponytail physics. As a brunette long haired girlie myself, OUGH her hair is so good and swishy. Genuinely might buy the chapter just for the ponytail physics

Also, the part about ace Lara hit me really hard ❤ thank you for putting it into words!

  11. Lara Croft, Nicholas Cage, Demogorgon, Pyramid Head, Trickster, Legion Bunny Costumes, Attack on Titan, Metalbands, Vecna and their respective survs, NONE of these should be in this Game!

The DBD I once loved is gone!
That abomination named DBD 2024 sux!

    BTW:
NO MATTER how many of you brain clones repeat this BS over and over again, there is no Horror Hall of Fame without Freddy, jason and Michael! And until this point, BHVR did only achieve 1.5 of these!
They can add 3000 more characters and it is still not the Horror HoF as long as Freddy and Jason are missing!

Thats like making a NBA HoF without Jordan and Le Bron or a Wrestling HoF without Hulk Hogan and the Undertaker…

  13. Pixel, I’m a local to your area. I remember when Tom’s passing happened, how I’d pass that statue every day on my way to university, how it seemed like such an unfair tragedy. Seeing you there now hits close to home.

I am so, so sorry for your loss, and so very glad you’re able to look back on those memories and smile. Thank you for being open and sharing this with us.
