Largest Problem With Dead By Daylight and BHVR Right Now

I want Dead By Daylight to be the best game it can be. However, with the way they are currently handling things I fear that its future isn’t bright. However, if they finally start taking some steps to improve I feel that it could be great.

  1. Hey, they weren’t actually working on it for months. The things they showed on twitter would take less then a week to program. They’re lying, and no one is calling them out on it, on the contrary you’re spreading misinformation and letting them off the hook. Almo pulled that, and they put it into overdrive as damage control to head off the hate they’d get. They are lazy, and non-transparent. That’s the biggest issue with dead by daylight.

  2. "Mathieu says this is our game but for now it still feels like they are the ones making the decisions and it isn't group effort. They don't listen to the community or if they do they don't give us any indication that they are."

Co-signed because that was some real shit you just said

  3. I think their biggest problem comes from the way how they handle workload, people can work when they want to. That makes it a great employee but not good for consumers. The twins was horrible and the upcoming ptb also shows that. Also when he doesn't want to be annoyed/bored or whatever, include those basic settings every game has today. I mean it has been 4 years+ since release and we still have to edit .ini files in order to change resolution, get proper fullscreen, enable/disable v-sync and so much more. There will be no pat on the back for including basic settings.

  4. I think that you are feeling guilty about the hate that you brought to almo and are now backtracking on the hate that was caused. No one thought almo was responsible for designing and coding a color blind setting but people were upset at a person who represents dbd as a dev being so rude. Almo has responsibly for what he said. It was a mistake and it can be rectified with an apology but saying he did nothing wrong is absurd.

  5. I’m sorry, but I disagree. No matter if Almo knew or not, he deserved all the backlash he got. That is not how you handle that kind of situation, and it was incredibly unprofessional.

  6. Worrying how the person responsible for balancing doesn't know about them working on the colour blindness settings. Most of the hate given to him has a point to it. When he looks at data he is looking about the wrong type of data. Like instead of looking how a perk win ratio is like he uses feelings on the perk which isn't a numerical data. It's like the same time when he was talking about nerfing freddy, he said that something is OP about him but he doesn't "know what is".

  7. The reason why they're not telling us, how the rating for the mmr system works is, so we can't purposely lower/higher our mmr. It makes sense tho, and I am confident, that the new mmr system will be good. It has been in the works for quite some time now and it is probably mostly stable. But they should really upgrade their communication…

  8. Things that bhvr needs to work on:

    Rank system
    Hackers
    Communicating more with community
    and hud
for hud I think they should still have the survivor portrait but when injured it turns into the injured survivor icon

  9. Even if Almo didn't know the colour blind mode had been worked on for ages, it still doesn't excuse his response. Almo is someone who clearly lacks PR skills and didn't even think what the ramifications of his response. BHVR are at fault aswell for poor communication and hopefully this fiasco is the kick up the arse that they need. I hope in the future Almo calms the hell down and stops acting like this dude who doesn't take shit from anyone like its some sort of badge of honour. I also hope that BHVR learn to communicate between each other and the community better in the future.

  10. The main problem is that DbD doesn't have any competition. People who like this type of game have literally nothing else like it, and bhvr knows this very well. They can do anything they want, there will be backlash, but people will keep playing DbD, because what other alternative do they have? Nothing, unfortunately. As soon as a similar game comes out and starts pulling DbD players, bhvr is going to try change, and I really hope it will be too late, enough is enough with their bullshit.

  11. almo responds rudely to every single dbd question u ask him. he's the sole reason why we cant have nice things in dbd. its such a shame that a guy responsible for game design is both incompetent ('i don't know why freddy is op but he is op') and rude to the community. thank god we have mclean who is an absolute fuzzy wuzzy legend <3

  12. One thing i've always wondered about this game is why bother having a PTB if they aren't going to listen to the players? The Twin DLC was a mess on the PTB and people told them it was a mess but they released it anyway.. lets be real, the reason Bug Fixes, Color Blind settings and patches don't get the attention they need is because they can't sell you these things.

  13. Bro almo is still a disrespectful idiot color blind controversy aside. He pretty much said that he doesn't give a shit what players think. Which makes him ignorant seeing that he's a dev for a game that wouldn't exist without its PLAYERS. Also saying things like "I dont give a shit about decisive strike" which no matter if it's that or something else it's still his job to "give a shit". We are suppose to help the game by having better devs that actually care

  14. I like your videos, I noticed that all the thumbnails have a red border. That makes it so you can't look at the red bar on the bottom to see if you have already watched a video. It would be nice if we could use that so that we can make sure we watch all of your stuff!

  15. Tinfoil hat time, but I don’t believe they were working in it ever, Almo said they weren’t because they weren’t. Why would they just tank all this hate for so long when they could just say “it’s coming” and move on. Accessibility settings are not line other types of new content. You will see better results by telling people ASAP.

  16. That's too bad because this game was great until they start to think only about making money with cosmetics.
Too many problems never sold and they add more each update.
The key mapping is the worst i've ever seen in a game (except little game made by only one guy maybe)
For more than a year the "Press Space to continue" page was impossible to skip with SPACE but it was with all the others key.
I used to love this game.
I played it 2400 hours but today i think i'm done (again) with this game because there is more frustration with all the bugs than fun.

  17. The real problem is that it is a game with a good idea, badly digested by a team of retards; do not complicate yourself with the typical wild card "It is that the team is stressed", which in this case is not the case.
