  2. It was my first time playing with the mode so it was alright, fun for awhile but not really worth going through the whole tome. At the very least i had some memorable moments on the killer end of things, was really nice hearing survivors be happy going against me for once.

  3. I personally had more fun in lights out over 1v4 as it’s now called.

I could use more killers and practice their base kits. No stupid second, third, fourth chance perks.

A bit scarier, bringing back horror to DbD. Most maps in 1v4 is practically daylight…. Where is Dead by Daylight?

Dead by nightfalls maybe…. Oh wait that brand is already taken by the dredge.

I think I might just like the game with less perks in general. Would be kinda interesting to try a mode with less perk slots imo.

And if last gen gets completed and at least 2 of 3 were healthy it was practically just an instant loss.

The increase action speed made opening gates trivial.

I personally didn’t notice that killer cooldowns wasn’t visible.

  4. Solid vid as usual Kiaser. I already wasn’t really looking forward to this mode cause I didn’t care for it last time, but I knew my friends were excited for it cause they didn’t get to play it and after like 5 rounds we all got bored and went back to the regular game. It really is pretty lackluster and the gens flying when we played was pretty stupid.

  5. My main problems boiled down to the lamps and 20% faster generators on top of the 5% pre-progress.
I think killers should have had a ~40% larger clear vision because as it was you were basically just nerfed as killer and 2 gens regularly pop before you down someone.
Or when a lamp is destroyed you get not only the massive 100 bloodpoints but also become illuminated so you see further but survivors also see you glow from the same distance you can see them, this would encourage good positioning.
The lamp in hand is great, nothing else is.

They could have done so much more with this game mode but they did legitimately nothing but add problems.

  6. i never liked this mode, i always found it surprising that people did say they did enjoy it, i feel it was more to do with having a new mode at the time when it originally came out then just the standard mode, i think for sure once My little Oni and other modes came it really started showing how crappy Lights out really was.

  7. I’ll be honest, I enjoyed playing the mode on both sides. Sure it wasn’t perfect, but nothing in this game really is. We just gotta appreciate it, I will say there were a couple points I do agree with you on still Kaiser! Let’s hope the next rendition is a hit for everyone and not just players like me that just appreciate most new content. At this point new game modes and modifiers are kinda keeping this game from getting boring so I appreciate it even if it has aspects that suck.

  8. Killers shouldn't be glowing red as what is the point of having zero terror radius. It was a big nerf for killer and the 20 percent was unnecessary. I play solo queue and I would win most of the time and of i lose was because of my teammates k1lling themselves on hook.

  9. There’s a lot that Kaiser has said that I agree with; and a lot that I disagree with. However this, I 100% agree with. It was the most mid fucking game mode. I didn’t play the first one, so this was my first experience. And although it was fun, and scary at first. It quickly got stale asf.

  10. it was made to bring back the scariness to dbd, which is clearly not what most dbd players are looking for despite the fact that everyone says they are. 2v8 wasnt scary at all but we all loved it for the gameplay

youre viewing it like a competitive game mode where the goal is to win. But the goal is just for fun

  11. Me and my friends spent the whole week playing surv on this mode and it was awesome.
A lot of screams of jumpscares on discord, like a actual horror game mode. And the lack of endgame colapse bar was very cool for the tension of not knowing if we were going to get there in time
The feeling of tensional waiting to be jumpscared with friend reminded me of phasmphobia when it was good

  12. This mode was very boring ngl. I would rather of it of been a hide n seek mode so instead of gens, the survivors has to hide from the killer for 10 minutes but they are revealed every 45 seconds and when downed, they will instantly get mori'd kinda thing. With these modes, they need to move from core dbd to something completely different.

  13. Most people won't agree but lights out 1 was a lot better. The aesthetics and sound of og lights out while not anything ground breaking as someone who grew up with horror games it was really nice and nostalgic. It was pretty cool too from both sides.
But this 2nd version was a lot worse… the candles were pretty and gave me many screenshots and I welcome new items always, but from a gameplay perspective it was just extremely boring… and the candles legitimately gave you away as a survivor… but they made the mode so much darker you needed them to see… didn't like it

  14. It was the worse mode so far. Lights out doesnt hsve the depth 2v8 can have to rapidly improve looping or the knowledge chaos shuffle can have to improve perk knowledge. Instead lights out focus on inconsistent map knowledge.

  15. Fortunately, i didn't get too much Legion playing lights out as Survivior. Most of my matches were just wolf dracula and Myers or ghostface who can feather track in the dark (usually on Deaddog) so im either being tracked with the Candelabra in hand or tracked running around in the dark to try and stay more stealth.

On killer if you can't find survivors fast enough i found myself battling for a 3gen or only getting 2 hooks. But on killer it also seemed like survivors worked on gens asap versus when i was on survivor in solo. Its an ok mode, i even got all the challenges done. I like it more in theory than in practice

  16. The whole game is turning meh to me sadly, this game is just too sweaty and the game being balanced the way it is makes it to where you have to use 120% of your brainpower(as killer) to stand a chance in winning the game

  17. One thing that definitely needs a change in this mode is a way to find rats. The amount of 45+ minute matches I had search in the dark because the last 2 survivors decided gens were optional and took a leisurely stroke through the darkness instead, was way too high.

  18. Normally I always finish the event tome for the items etc.

Not Lights Out, played a few times got 1/3 of the exclusives and just stopped. Couldn't bring myself to play thru it. Went back to normal mode almost immediately.

  19. oh, something I wanted to say: I really hope they consider making the candles a main game item. Just an item where you can place on gens to show your team mates what gen you're on, or what gen you feel should be targeted. It would be cool. Wouldn't be used as much as medkits and toolboxes, sure, but it would be a cool option.

  20. There's no competition for dbd to do better so why do better. Here have a new min skin and quit crying. It's getting to much bug after bug game breaking too and still wanting money. I really hope a game comes someday to make dbd stop acting like this or lose there player base. I say only way dbd is gonna get better if they get competition.

  21. I played like 3 games per side of the original lights out, haven't played this time since I've been moving but I feel like my take on it would be the same – it feels like this mode would really appeal to someone, that someone just is not me. If you enjoy it, more power to you.
Personally, I feel like it'd make a considerably better custom match option than event mode. Although I'm all for event modes being available in customs anyways so… might be biased.

  22. On the talk of rewards when I started a few years back they would have outfits or at least pieces of outfits and charms in every event tome but since the introduction of badges and banners its felt like a cheap way to stop giving us outfits that they used to do (yes I know there's the new token system to get everything but to be honest I hate that change)

  23. I enjoyed lights out orignally because i like playing jump scare killers and they can have a field day here. However the gen speed boost every survivor had the 2nd time around was just painful to play against. Every match felt like either the killer would immediately snowball into victory or the gens would pop faster than they could down people. The anti-camp range also felt incredibly punishing when trying to defend a 3 gen on some maps.

  24. I honestly liked the game mode. is it great? Definitely not, but to have a break from regular dbd is just always welcomed for me. It was here for a week, it was a fun side distraction and I didnt care about winning, just scaring or getting scared. Am i sad to see it go? no, it didnt overstay its welcome. I think its good if behavior does things like this where its just randomly here for a bit
