  1. I really like this idea, especially the perks that gain tokens as the match goes on so that it's like M3GAN is learning and evolving. I think a really fun alternative idea could be having M3GAN consist of two characters: M3GAN and Cady. Cady would serve as a 5th AI survivor who runs around the map providing co-op assistance. She will attempt to heal survivors or repair gens with them at 40% the speed of a normal survivor. Cady would also make audible sounds (maybe cries for help or scared screams?) if she's alone with no other survivors nearby so survivors know where she is if she's alone. I made up numbers because I'm no game designer, but M3GAN's power could be:

    Code Switch

Kill Mode: When Cady is not within 32 meters of M3GAN, Kill Mode activates. Window vaulting speed is increased by 15% (she could use fun dance moves to leap through windows faster than normal). Pressing the active ability button allows M3GAN to engage Threat Removal.
Threat Removal – M3GAN crouches onto all fours. Movement speed is increased by 10%, and M3GAN's terror radius is suppressed. While Threat Removal is active, M3GAN imitates the cries of a scared/alone Cady, luring injured survivors hoping for healing assistance from Cady.

Friend Mode: When Cady is within 32 meters of M3GAN, Friend Mode activates. M3GAN's movement speed and vaulting speed return to normal. Threat Removal is sealed and M3GAN becomes an M1 killer with an audible terror radius. During Friend Mode, Cady's aura is continuously revealed to M3GAN and Threat Detection activates.
Threat Detection – Gain killer instinct for all survivors within 25 meters of Cady, with the frequency of killer instinct pings increasing based on their proximity to Cady. The auras of survivors interacting with technology (gens, gate switches) within M3GAN's terror radius when Threat Detection activates are revealed to her for 8 seconds.

This would give survivors a unique choice: stay near Cady and co-op with her, at which point M3GAN will always know where they are if she gets close, or stay away from Cady where M3GAN must find them but is also significantly stronger.

Idk, just an idea haha. There could also be really fun interactions with a Gemma survivor, too. Like if M3GAN spawns into a map with a Gemma survivor, Gemma is guaranteed to be the obsession. However, Cady's co-op action speed would increase to 60% of a normal survivor when performing actions alongside the Gemma.

  2. Interesting power idea, could use some tweaks here and there, but I fail to see how the survalence thing is useful. It makes you exposed and oblivious for no benefit? Why would anyone want that? If it was really survalence, you should be able to read the killers aura and not get debuffed

  3. I know like zero people would want this as a chapter, but my dream DLC for DBD would be the Demonata, where we get Lord Loss and Grubs Grady along with Lord Loss's demon realm as a map.

  4. I love the idea of that. Not only because I love M3gan as a character, but also because I see so many people shoot down the idea of new horror icons matching the level of popularity as those like lestherface, Freddy and Micheal Myers. M3gan is not only one of the most well recieved new gen slashers but she's also genuinely terrifying at times so her placement in dbd wouldn't be out of place.

  5. We all know that we need the true Killer to come to Dead by Daylight Todd Howard. His power is he just throws copies of Skyrim at the survivors till they put themselves on the hooks to just get away from him.

  6. After Ghosty who is just half-licensed, if M3gan would come to DBD then that would be first license that I would actually want to get without second thought. I was rather impressed with the movie, the potential is there indeed.

  7. my only problem with m3gan really is that i kinda need to see if the legacy will stand the test of time, i dont see it as being a chapter for this year, but next year, if the movie is still well remember'd i can totally see this being added

  8. I have a question: will you ever do an original killer concept?

I mean if you do that would be great but if you don't that's ok I'm fine with licensed concepts

  9. 4:41 M3gan wasn't fully acted by an actress, btw. She was a marionette puppet for all but 5 minutes of the movie. That dance down the hall kill was an actress, but all the other robotic turns and twitches were done with puppetry. I highly recommend watching the "Making Of" video where her puppeteer explains how he came up with her movements.

  10. The concept is cool I’ll give it that, everything else needs work. The power is way too complicated and her add ons and perks are both weak and circumstantial at best (basically skull merchant’s add ons and perks). Overall a 5/10 video

  11. I just wanted to add something that I'm quite interested in. Whereas I think M3gan was an extremely fun movie to watch, I also think it is grossly overrated compared to other, better IMO, AI related horror films to come out recently. Such as Tau.

I hesitate to say the movie isn't good, for all of the very well stated reasons you've listed, but mostly for one huge distinction that elevates her above all the rest and the reason why this film will have a special place in my <3- M3gan is like no other AI thus far depicted in film, with the closest comparison being Weyland Yutani synthetics from the Alien franchise.
She was designed with the ability to not only emulate human emotion, but due to absolutely no checks or balances that a reasonable programmer would put in place, she can understand it. Disturbingly well. Better, in fact, than Gemma. Most of her mistakes don't boil down to a flaw in deductive reasoning, they arise in a manner that is more emotionally driven. M3gan may or may not be a more advanced chatGPT in terms of logical intelligence, but she is almost unrivaled in terms of emotional intelligence. Or whatever equivalent her machine learning has built.
Look at the cause and effect progression of her emotional state building. Such as the 'murder' of the boy. Something else that should be pointed out here is that M3gan did not intentionally kill that kid, she merely chased him into traffic. Perhaps she would have had she caught him first, but as things are shown it is a pivotal moment in her free reign development. You can see this when Cady questions her about it and she doesn't reduce the situation to one built of purely logical decisions, instead opting to discuss the real big picture stuff such as the concept of an afterlife or morality in general.

Machines are not concerned with morality. Only an entity with some form of emotional state and abstract thinking can even conceive of such a topic. She is not only, at that point, developing the capacity to do so, she's done it well enough to communicate that understanding to Cady in a way that even Gemma cannot.
The tldr is that, consciously or not, Gemma wanted M3gan to provide emotional support for her niece, and that's about the only thing she succeeded in, even if it went horribly awry. Whereas the overarching plot is definitely derivative of most other AI driven horror films, I think there's more than enough meat on the bone to prove that M3gan is in her own distinct category. Hell, in many ways she's more 'human' than her creator.
