Why did Behaviour tease this Chapter so early? To avoid it getting leaked? A marketing move like the RE chapter? Something else? Anyone have any theories?

This was all to save the twitter guys sanity, trying to tease things everyone already knew were already coming broke him, and so by announcing it months in advance it's a chance to get him in better shape
I think this is my first full year of playing DbD, but is there always this content gap at the start of a new year?
I remember before the RE chapter the game felt like it was in a really good place, was that because the devs can take the start of each year for mostly general maintenance or am I way off ? Either way I def like the idea of DbD getting some tlc before this chapter drops

Its safe to assume that they have teased this so early and will probably do so for several more chapters thanks to the scandal with the Artist’s leak which basically ruined the surprise when Dbd finally announced it. So yes, they would much rather release it on their own terms. They want to avoid that situation again as much as possible. As a company, its sound like a wise decision
They better not make us wait 7 days for the power to work

If bhvr teasing this new chapter is a business decision, then I believe it’s the correct decision they made. I’m not versed with Ringu or anything Ringu related, but I do know it’s a very popular franchise. This could be a way to say to license holders, who were skeptical about putting their characters into dbd, “we have the original Ringu coming into our game! Maybe this will fix your skepticism.”

Due to her thing being TVs and Wells I think her power should be more map controlled based maybe a little something for Chase but mostly for map control
