  1. This update is going to be trash. I think nothing is wrong with mori’s coming from a survivor main. Like when it used to be u could get moried after first hook that was a bit bs but if I’m going to get hooked and killed anyways might as well go out with a bang.

  2. This update would cheapen the mori to nothing more than a declaration of the match being over. It would take away from the process of getting a mori, the preparation of your perks and offerings, playing around them in such and such a way, and finally the magic of absolutely murdering the survivors in the most classy of ways.

Less is more, you don't need to see a mori every match, it removes the magic of it.
I don't bring a mori every match, I don't bring devour or rancor every match, and that's for the better, it makes the reward of a mori all that much greater for the days when I actually feel like going for them.

I know that the changes to these mori perks and offerings have no real effect on gameplay (with the exception of rancor,) if you would've been mori'd, chances are you're probably dead on hook anyway, but even if there are no changes to gameplay, it certainly takes away a lot of the charm of the mori. I'm a sucker for sentimental garbage like this, I would be genuinely bummed about a change to mories like this, I hope this doesn't come to be.

  3. I have a theory: what if the Devs purposely listen in on the toxic players with the mentality that toxic players will pick the tiniest most unnoticable flaws and make a big deal out of it

  4. This is the worst update they could of thought of there is sometimes no way for a killer to win a game except to slug. Like trapper, Myers, id even say hag and the pig have essentially become unplayable like this they nerfed the pig without even having to do anything her reverse bear traps are still active while a survivor is on the ground. Trapper now gets punished is a survivor is far away and the release themselves with his add on that down's you. This update rewards survivors who played bad and punishes the killer for no reason. Like sabo squads are gonna be unstoppable. boil over, flip flop, unbreakable dare I say power struggle they just have to camp a pallet with their teammate right there and their recovery speed is faster not a survivor picking them up is boosted to. there are reasons why there has been drop rates in killer being played. The moris were also what felt like a reward as well. Also that mean no more photobombing ghost face mori or the funny hatch pinhead mori. Which was fun or other fun shenanigans. Unless they give all killers an executioner way of caging survivors on the ground without slugging most killers are gonna be impossible to win with. As a player base we need to take a stand and say enough is enough if no one plays the ptb and more people express not to do this behaviour will have to listen as no one will update their game no one will play their ptb. etc… I understand it's kinda of a drastic approach but this made it near impossible to play killer like survivor is now so much easier then it was when the survival rate is already high as it is now. This last stand should of just been a if it was the last survivor for hatch it is instant mori without the need of the moir offering and keep the mori offering because at that point what's the point of having to hook them by the hatch.

  5. The mori vs. death hook question at 6:48, I can answer. Very commonly killers will tunnel out the first person they down just to get the mori. I have had many many games where I tried to bodyblock a tunnel and the killer ignores me completely to just tunnel that person into a mori. I'm not positive if that is one of their reasons for the change, but it's the only thing I can think of.

  6. I think in place of Soul Guard no longer having the self pick up part, they should make it so you bleed out 30/40/50% slower when cursed. And of there is 2 or more hexes active at the same time, reveal each active hex totem until only 1 hex totem remains (unless the Survivor is suffering from the blindness status effect).
And No Mither also should make you bleed out slower, at 10% slower across all tiers.

  7. I really like the changes overall but there are some issues.
They just made twins useless and any mori perk/offering has been dragged through shit and made very useless.

Personally I go for moris a lot and try to get 3 sometimes 4 every time and now it's limited to once per game and only if you catch the last survivor

  8. I can see what they trying to do here. There is occasionally a "we want all our players to experience all our content" philosphy in companies, and as Mori's aren't used as often as they'd like they feel players are missing out on a part of the experience that they've designed. By making it a potential finisher in every game they have instantly increased usage of those animations they worked hard on but rarely get seen.
I appreciate they want to showcase the Mori's they worked hard on, I appreciate the "teleport to an unobstructed area" part (using a mori and watching the camera clip through scenery was pretty disappointing) and I appreciate it speeds up endgame and (possibly) helps to combat some more toxic playstyles.

Personally, I feel it takes away a choice for the killer, it is a reductive change to the game intended to modify playstyles and game length that will create it's own set of problems. I also think people are going to get sick of seeing the finishing mori… it's going to be a moment of annoyance for many, losing all the novelty it currently holds.

  9. As a ghostface main I'm heartbroken that I want no longer be able to take group selfies however, I believe people aren't looking at everything is update has to offer.

I believe the Developers are indirectly helping with the cheating epidemic. They specifically said if all survivors are downed, or on hook the game would end in a finishing kill right? So wouldn't that mean that would fix the hostage situation?

Wouldn't this indirectly remove cheaters from just placing themselves on hook during endgame collapse making whoever the Killer is be stuck there for 2 hours or face a ban? Because if they put themselves in that position the game would just end right? Meaning they would have to avoid putting themselves in that position, meaning they can't do that anymore, meaning they can't hold streamers hostage anymore right?

I don't know if anyone's looked at this update and thought of that, but I think that's what the developers were thinking. Of course I may be giving them more credit than they probably have, but still.

  10. Oh nyooo killers can't slug ppl for 4 mins anymore 🙁 like cmon bruh u can't be serious. This is a pretty solid changes for the most part, these situation you're complaining about won't happen in a normal match just like when killers complained bout Mettle of man and all that. As for mori's? Eh their just cheap, "bitching survivors" lmao as if killers dont bitch bout everything little thing happens and u can still see the mori so it's not that big of a deal. Devour is still the same besides that change, rancor was meh and who even uses it? And whenever i do face it. Its just killer standing around for the whole match and just going for the obsession for a cheap kill.

Overall its a decent patch that seems promising, they just gotta make some changes to nurse since yk with this, it'll for sure make nurse players play even sweatier. I like the idea of the last stand and killers shouldn't just be able to slug for free anymore is a plus.

  11. This honestly feels absolutely horrible. Any perks that made Survivors able to get up on their own for a clutch escape or last-second save are now pointless (No Mither is now utterly worthless) and slugging will become the new standard (why hook everyone when you can end the game by getting lucky and downing multiple Survivors at once or punishing a save? NOED will now be even more meta than it already was since a quick Killer can just down the remaining Survivors if they make a single mistake and end the game even if they didn't have a single kill before). The entire "Last Standing" and special Mori mechanic is completely stupid and is only encouraging tunneling and camping (the Killer camps the first two people he hooks then slugs the remaining ones or baits saves). People won't even be able to crawl to the exit if the gate is open but everyone is down, giving Killers multiple free kills and giving the finger to Survivors (because remember: the current SBMM works on "escapes" and "kills" not actual skills and actions during the game) so shit Killers that were given a 2k-4k by 1-shots will get thrown against pro-Survivors and Survivors who struggle will remain in camping Bubba territory.

Survivors that struggle (either due to inexperience or lack of good perks/teammates) are already getting regularily steamrolled by the average Killer and it's not rare (in higher mmr) to see a dying Survivor use Unbreakable/No Mither to get up and unhook someone while the Killer is away during Endgame and sometimes turn a 4k into a 2k. Ending the match instantly upon the whole (remaining) team being downed removes any incentive for the Killer to actively hook people/not camp when only two Survivors are left alive, even less so on low mmr which will just kill the more casual players's desire to keep playing after doing every gens but instantly losing when a Killer with Noed gets lucky and turns a loss into a 4k.

A 4-man team escaping only for the last one to get downed close to the exit but not even given the chance to wiggle out and escape is just an infuriating thought. Hell, when a single Survivor remains but gets downed he doesn't even get to hope the Killer doesn't manage to reach a hook and instead instantly dies. Honestly it will likely make a lot of Survivors DC if they are the only one left only to deny the cinematic kill out of spite.

And even more: People used to at least try to attempt saves during the Endgame Collapse even if the Killer was facecamping, now it will just discourage players to attempt last-minute saves and will just leave if they are not in a position to guarantee a secure save. Last-minute saves are one of the most satisfying and in-game friend-making things that can happen in this game and now it is just no longer worth it as the slightest mistake will instantly cause a team loss.

How does this disincentivize slugging? Killers will now slug more than ever and Survivors will instantly lose games that could have been salvageable to some extent. Sure being slugged is annoying and boring, but it wasn't the standard and Killers still had to hook people to ensure that Survivors couldn't get lucky and crawl to the hatch or through an exit gate. And the time wasted was just as long for the Killer as it was for the Survivors, even more so when you take into account that the Killer needs to be there the whole game and can't just move on the moment they die.

On the flipside, since Survivors will now be able to self-pickup without perks in 45 seconds, any perks that boost recovery time will now be much more vital and will be almost mandatory for Survivors since tunnelling will also become even more of an issue than it was since leaving someone on the ground to chase another if there are still 4 Survivors left is just asking for the Survivor to pick himself up while the Killer is occupied.

Skilled SWF teams will also become even more powerful than they were since a single skilled looper can make sure anyone else on the team has the time to stand up if the Killer doesn't secure every kill, which will, again, make more Killers camp and not likely to take risks to get 4k when they can guarantee at least a 2k.

Is this Survivor or Killer-sided? It is very much Killer-sided outside of skilled players/SWF teams. The average/below-average Survivors and Survivors in SoloQ wil have even more of a problem than before. The ability for Survivors to pick themselves up without needing a perk will give a great boon to high-skilled Survivors and SWF team.

Devour Hope and Rancor just lost most of their appeal because it was one of the few ways to get Mori kills (let's face it, a lot of Killers just do it for the cool factor more than anything else, and it was already pretty tough to keep Devour Hope long enough anyway) and a way to not need a hook to kill if you somehow managed to keep the Hex long enough. It just removes some of the aspects that makes these perks special in a way.

As for the offerings changes…well they just made every Mori offerings worthless BP-boosting offerings and are now encouraging Killers to camp the second-to-last Survivor in order to up their chances of the last Survivor attempting a save in order to do a Mori-finisher (in the process encouraging Survivors to leave people behind in order to not instantly die to a mistake). Those offerings now rely entirely on the Killer getting multiple kills to just get some bonus BP, completely worthless. The Ebony offering giving 20K BP is not a lot for doing what is basically a perfect game, why bother burning an Ebony offering for a chance to get some more bp when I can just use Survivor Pudding to guarantee good bp?

It also makes Survivors running Boil Over in certain maps completely invulnerable if there are no nearby hooks as even slugging won't work now against those players (previously you could just leave these people on the ground since you knew it was impossible to hook them if they were in a certain area of the map). Giving a buff to an already shitty scenario.

I'm also scared that the moment they release this it just causes large-scale loss of items or glitched/impossible achievements, wouldn't be the first time a big update made people lose progress or break the game for a while.

  12. for once BHVR has listened to survivors instead of whining killers. every update killers get buffed and surv get nerfed. time for a change. they needed to do something to help soloq because it has just been horrible! i mentioned this before, stop calling survivors survivors and just call them players because 9 out of 10 times they just get trashed by killers with far fewer hrs. even you say 'less fun for killer' what about surv's fun???? why can't they have fun? getting moried early game sure is fun for survivors. and being slugged at 5 gens and left to bleed out for 2 mins sure sounds like a good time huh?

  13. I have a simple thought leading into a question… If mori’s are getting nerfed, why are keys unchanged? A more for an instant kill while hatch is an instant escape… makes no sense to not change both of 1 changes…

  14. I can only see two things with this update. Even the devs have said “no mither “ is basically hard mode so that change makes sense and 2nd I think this change may help camping in only one scenario which is one being hooked and one being downed near the hook, but other then that I don’t see this update helping killer much

  15. I feel the same way with this video, it was so cool to get mori as a surprise. Also I really think the pick up self decision is gonna lead to more toxic from the survivors, and I am a survivor main and know what is going on.

  16. I'm not loving this for similar reasons to you. But! In a scenario where each survivor was slugged and got up. Once. And lose the ability to get up again and you're the last survivor you can't even wiggle out to try and turn the game around. It's silly. I don't see it happening as planned. There will be alot to address and it may not work.

  17. I think the new update is going to heavily negatively affect killers like Michael and Oni more. Killers who have to work for an instant down as their ability and who kind of rely of slugging a bit for their abilities to be more efficient. With these changes it makes those killers have a much, much harder time

On the other side, however, I can see this pushing killers away from camping. But beyond that there's very little benefit to this

  18. So if 3 survivors are knocked on the ground then the last man standing gets auto morried when he catches him. If it's fast enough before the others recover then the killer just auto wins. Depending on a lot of situations that's actually a bit more killer sided. Can't we just keep the morries as is, seeing as they aren't actually a problem? And then maybe not do unbreakable base kit? This entire update is just ridiculous 🙄 I don't even want or need unbreakable base kit.

  19. What I hate with the new mori offerings is that it could be entirely useless by being unlucky. Both sides have no control over hatch so if the killer gets unlucky that's the offering wasted. Why spend 5k on a iri Mori to get potential 20k when a yellow survivor pudding for 2.5k will usually get you more points and you will always see some value from it.

  20. i play both but i main killer more, this is just boring! like when i play survivor i want the match to be more scarier this is just turning it into a childs game no risk really, as well they might as well turn this game into a stupid turn based game, seems like all they want to for killer to go and hook each survivor once and repeat process no excitement or surprise of change in strategy extremely boring zzzz the direction they're going. also i feel like their idea is going to cause more camping and tunneling its bad why go after other suvivors you can't leave your survivor you worked hard for to down cause they will get back up in no time, i don't think bvhr realize chases can also last longer than 45secs, kinda not fair and not giving killer a balance. they should 100% if survivors can get themselves up, the free basekit for survivors get seeing other survivors auras should no longer apply when another survivor is on the ground. they have perks if survivors want that. no more free bee's take some away from survivors. only way to kill survivors now is hook? less stragety in the game makes the game more BORING ZZZZZZZZ.

  21. Just saying this, only 1 survivor can escape through the hatch now that's IF they find it. So why should killer's be able to Mori all 4 survivors, I mean take it however but if only 1 can escape by hatch then killers should only be able to Mori 1 🤷

  22. Whatever you say entitled survivor. You try dealing with the toxic ttvs. And swfs and people who base their entire builds on ruining the killers fun. This one update. Will end slugging. Camping. And face campers and you wanna complain? How about say everything that will finally make it easy for killers to end the game faster. Survivors already hage everything to end the game in 2 minutes. Where's our game end in 2 minutes hmmm. Not all of play nurse. Blight. Or want to play the piece of shit leatherface.
