  1. So many people play Dead by Daylight. No one just plays for the cosmetics. Most are just mad about the linked cosmetics and the situation about the Jill cosmetic where her head is no different yet they have to pay for it. But apparently at first it wasn’t linked now it is and those lost it if they didn’t pay for the whole cosmetic.

  2. Yes! We need a competitor. Competition creates solid improvements when something is an unchecked king for too long it gets stale and innovation dies. just look at Madden, World of Warcraft, and others. Bring the competition!

  3. You also have to look at the average spender though. Big game companies prefer whales over people who make frequent purchases. It's why games like valorant charge so much for skins. So if even 5000 people are whales, that's a huge dent to their profits. That's all obviously assuming that those boycotting are the big spenders

  4. 100% agree with you !

It make me laugh to see some peoples trying to boycott the game for cosmetics, because 90% of the game (old or new) as this in game cosmetics systems so if they are tying to boycott the game for this well… good luck to them ! But like you said it will change absolutely nothing and BHVR don't care.

  5. Just btw…the 5 Videos of midlevel content creators that talked about this boycott have more clicks than all of the Videos on this Channel combined, so who exactly is only talking "in the name of a few hundred people"?

  6. Like, in theory? A fantastic idea. But practically? How many times have we seen Boycotts attempted on this game? I remember when there was going to be a killer Boycott because of the ruin changes. I'm sure Behaviour really missed maybe the 10 people that followed through with it…

  7. Honestly, it might work.. but.. honestly, instead of boycotting, just leave. It's like the new hud when it came out, didn't like what, 500k people leave? Left a gap and behavior listened. So if we get BIG streamers to talk about this, it's gonna succed

  8. good points… reminds me of when people thought last year and HSH had a chance… they really didnt, not with the budget and to be compared to DBD in every aspect. there needs to be a new power not just a passion project with not enough support.

  9. You hit all the nails square in their heads.

First off, Reddit, despite having very, very small usefulness every once in a blue moon, is the toxic DLC expansion pack to 4Chan….

In terms of DbD, man…..I can't lie to ya…I practically hate this game….but my friends sucker me into playing it again every now and then…I've lost track how many times I've uninstalled and re-installed it.

Don't get me wrong…itnhas it's fun moments….and very clearly has potential…but the game itself (not to mention the community) has SsooOOoOOOoooO many issues that heavily need to, but as of yet, still haven't been addressed. The Devs keep cranking on content and updates to draw new players in and to trick veterans into coming back without ever actually doing anything to fix stuff….

They act like new characters, maps, and cosmetics are gonna make everything groovy when all that is doing is essentially slapping a bandaid on a shotgun wound.

I sorely wish other asymmetrical games that have been released would've taken off and done well cause BHVR desperately needs a fire lit under their asses in order to wake up and realize changes finally need to be made…

A dumbass boycott is gonna do two things: jack and shit. And Jack left town

  10. It’s honestly a good intention, but not really committed enough. The idea is to not spend a single penny on the game; cosmetics, dlc chapters, and premium rift passes. They don’t really gain much from people playing the game, but rather cosmetics. While dbd having competition surely is the best idea, the boycott definitely isn’t a dumb idea (especially coming from a fog whisperer). The only way for it to really work is if we spread the word and give the boycott a little more commitment behind Reddit.
