New Animations/Mid-Chapter Released – Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight today released what was on the PTB a couple of weeks ago, not sure if these have been tweaked or changed but they still don’t feel very nice to play, not like the old way of playing DBD, but I’m sure we’ll get used to it. Let me know what you think of the changes in the comments!

  1. Why I personally hate this new Patch

    1: New UI is horrible! As a killer main its hard to keep track of status (unhooks or healed survivors, mending etc) I even had a game where i lost the survivors scratchmarks because of the dumb side interface. Its was fine the way it was. I don't care about seeing character portraits for this game "IN GAME" The simple "man" icon was perfectly fine AND ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN!

    2: Survivors look dumb! I am not a fan of the new animation. Half the time i don't know that the survivor is injured unless i look at they're portrait icon (which inconveniently is on the side now) because they're hurt animation looks odd. The hurt survivor animations were ALOT better than they are now because they actually look like they're struggling ie trying to survive wheras now they look goofy and comical.

    3. New maps are ok but i do not like the new Game I dont think it looks good and the difficulty of this map has increased for Killer so now one of the few maps that are in killers favor is not anymore.

    Lastly: Why did Behavior change the hook music to cycle the different on hook themes? Revert it back!!!!!! When im on hook i want to hear just one (of) the themes. I think this was a straight dumb idea!

    Conclusion: I really liked DBD up until this mid chapter patch. Im gonna be playing much less as DBD is just not the same anymore for me. That sucks, its really too bad that they did this to the game….

  2. I think the player models and Hitboxes might be the issue. They aren't synced up it feels like. It feels like the hitboxes are lagging behind the player models. The position of the player model says you are at one set of coordinates but your hitbox is in another set of coordinates that your player model was previously in.
