This video summarizes some of the current issues that plague the Knight. You might find it useful to know about them to try to playing around them (or take advantage of them as a Survivor!). Please let me know if you know of other Knight issues so that we may report them to the developers.

“He’s somewhat playable” god this game is sad 😂
I played a LOT of Knight when it came out and when I play, the distance the phantoms have for second floor it's the same as the first floor
Now, if you were to play in a map with a second floor and you send a guard while a survivor is upstairs, the ghosts will go upstairs, instantly. I usually do this, open that door that has a gen next in the second floor, put a ghost, it goes there ad kicks survivors out or they get hit.
I don't know if you'll read this one and try it out, but if you do, cool.
Words can't describe how thoughtful and nice Otz is.
i have no idea how balanced it would be but i think adding an effect for the knights power that lets you just immediately assign the current guard to a interactable object with the secondary power button (since it isn't currently used) if you are close enough to the aura around an interactable object would be a massive quality of life buff, and i think a way to fix the dependence on the map of the realm would be to buff the speed at which the guards detection range expands, but that would probably just make the map even more powerful unless you did something like halved the range it gives
It's either a 10 hour video or a barely 6 minute one
I wish his knights had more versatility like how his carnifex can insta break pallets and deal more damage to gens, like what if the assassin didn’t alert you in chase but only made the sound like victor does when he’s nearby or the jailer could give you incapacitated or something when you get hit or heal or mend or something that represents them more than just, “oh he’s faster, he chases longer, he does orders faster, etc…”
Knight isn't the only killer that needs QOL changes. I feel the Cenobite needs a bit more attention than the Knight, because his power doesn't feel polished at all. His chains during a chain hunt are inconsistent, the box span location is predictable if you play the game well enough, when solving the lament box you get interrupted constantly by the chain hunt which gives the indication to the killer where you are and the progress gets lost and then not only did you give out your location but you have to start all over and then the killer doesn't need to teleport to you, he can just walk over and knock the box out of your hand. Once you pick up the box you can never put it down unless you solve it, which means the killer can tunnel you until he holds the box so at that point not only are you oblivious and in a chain hunt, but you have the killer on your back waiting to repeat the process on the next survivor and that can be infuriating. And playing as the Cenobite, his chain can basically do nothing if the survivors is near a collision, so for your reward when you finally hit a survivor with a possessed chain, you aren't rewarded at all, nor did you even slow him down. This is only punishing for W players and there are such rare occurrences this can happen. He doesn't need a change, he just needs some polishing.
I plaayed alot of knight (and loving it) recently and i figured out that having a guard hit a survivor is just a bonus. When i release a guard is mostly for information and zoning, so I can get a hit off.
Hey, Otz, have you played Separate Ways in REmake 4? If yes, are you. Going to upload your playthrough?
6:20, i saw that trick can let u set the guard on rocks or uplevelled structures
Come on BHVR, fix some knight issues please!!!
there is no way its already been a year
I love how everyone and their mother says MFT is a problem and in this video you encourage survivors to use MFT to semi-counter a killer barely anyone plays.
It’s really such an amazing bit of design that the developers made in the knight, it’s a shame since all it needs is tidying up a little bit
Horrible killer that requires NO SKILL and teaches new players nothing about chase besides waiting for a ghost to get the hit for them. It’s so bad for the game but nah just let them stay garbage instead of learning the game
As a knight main, the most infuriating thing to me is the fact that you cannot cancel your orb mid pathing, your forced to use the guard once you use your power, even if it's for a split second
I get the most hate mail for my knight. I like to get in chase and then use a guard to cut off pallets/vaults or try and predict where they run so i can sammich them between the guard amd myself for an immediate down.
I rmemeber the time when if you got stunned while i yojr power as the knivht, you lost the power for the rest of the match…
I have been using the "window trick" against the knight a few months now and every knight I played against called me out for speed hacking. It's so complicated to explain why it works so well and It's sad that not a lot of people know about it. Also, running around trees and rocks also help while detected by a guard. They have a significantly harder time catching up to you when you hug a rock/tree tight and run around it. Every time I play against knight I use these 2 combos and it's always given me benefits.
There is no way to fix the knight because the concept of spawning a bot that paths towards a survivor is an inherently unenjoyable power to use and play against. Even if it actually worked well and wasn't broken in 10 different ways he still wouldn't be fun.
