I mean, I get it, Dev man bad and all. but talk shit get hit. state of the game aside (its terrible) they do this little fun thing, Dowsey talks mad shit (to be fair, he does) and so there like "you know what, never mind" you can argue the semantics but that's all it is. If you personally did something cool for someone, gave them a gift to have as part of your friendship, and then they stood on a roof with a loudspeaker and started talking shit about you, yeah you fuckin bet you would take that shit back, I bet you would take it a helluva lot farther too. Devs are people too, and before dowsey got any kind of a response he assumed the worst and used it to get clicks. honestly if I were the devs I would have removed the shirt from everyone and abandoned the practice going forward because any kind of nice little token item is not worth the drama of its possible weaponization against you, as we are clearly seeing.
How was dowsey s tweet "discussing"? It was a just as petty action of mockery from him, he used patrick s words and made fun of them, that has no constructive criticism whatsoever and it was quite personal too using his image and all that, its not just targeting what he said lol even if unintentional. I can see why the devs did this and dowsey s "joke" is not even fitting the original quote well. Also i dont see where the problem in removing the items is, they re free stuff granted by the devs in good will, they have all rights to take em away wheter they see fit, if they give stuff that s like normal, but if they take it away they re monsters, kinda sounds like entitlement. Its true dbd is in a bad state, but i dont think that makes the devs wrong in every single thing they do. These are my opinions anyway.
We all know the devs are incompetent most of the time. We all know that this could have been any of us, but why was he the target? Are the trying to make an example out of him? This makes no sense.
"if you can't win against hackers, are you really good at the game…?" Banned But also, let's remove twitch shirts in an instant but hackers? THey not a problem at all
it's kinda like the cancel culture outrage where becoming unpopular for something you said, or people disagreeing with you, is contorted into some form of targeted censorship. that people not liking what you say is an attempt to silence/censor you personally.
the common logic being something like: people in a position of authority or power in their own enviroment thusly feel entitled to speak their mind and have everybody listen, as that's the norm for them. they're used to not being challenged. so when people outside their circle aren't reacting in the way they're used to then said person feels as though they're being denied the respect they're owed somehow. negative reactions instictively feels like a transgression against the standard rules of conduct.
same logic here. online moderators, team leaders, managers and general people of power have a standard of compliance with their own staff and the people they interact with. so they get really thin skin. thus aren't fit for public forums where there are always people who will disagree, criticize and ridicule. they're not used to it the same way normal people are. for us this is a neutral fact of life, for them this is a personal attack, a violation of a normative contract. a failure to meet their expectations of what they're owed, which makes them feel like they've earned the right to punish you.
Isn’t saying the devs are acting like babies, kinda make you think that the whole community of dbd is like that. That’s just how we are, there isn’t fixing anything about us guys, this is just the community we belong in
Sounds like an attempt at a power trip using a game of all things. You'd think they'd be more cautious after the latest debacles with big companies going down.
Omg i can't believe they did it purposely. until now i thought it was just some weirdly timed bug.. wtf is wrong with them, that is beyond pathetic, good thing im not playing their game for over a year now
We can go specifically find an account and remove a shirt cause they hurt our feelings but don't have time to go into the game and fix things people have asked for.
Honestly I think this is the final nail in the coffin for me. I know Dowsey says he doesn't care they removed his cosmetics but that doesn't change how insanely petty BHVR acts on a near regular basis. Knowing they'd sooner take time to do this childish stuff instead of working on their game in a substantial way is enough to make me uninstall earlier this morning. I wish the best of luck to everyone still playing and even BHVR but I'm just tired of waiting for this game to get better.
That's a very valid argument here Scott, but still…TAKE AWAY HIS TWITCH SHIRT BOYS, yes that will show him of doubting BHVR decisions

They think they can fix every issue by just throwing free blood points at it.
This makes me so glad I stopped playing DBD lmao

When Ozt leaves the game for Elder ring I wonder what will happen to this game.
BHVR, a game company that views criticism as a form of harassment.
Please enjoy our garbage attitude/ (positive feedback only)

Scott is surprised these devs are thin skinned children????
All i can say is, i think they did a pretty good job so far.
The act by them is just petty and sad.
i didnt know Childs are member of the Development Team, literally this is very child thing
That xverweight is desingenuos, furthers bxllshit, and is disrespectful and then when there is clap back he acts the victim.
Also, I'm still waiting on your reply to my comments where you said I had no argument. Lmao

Liberals always accused people of random bullshit. Nothing new here.

Targeted harassment? Do they think people dont have brains?
the absolute pettiness
Ok well rip dbd now they are actively pushing away their content creators. This is looking like the death of dbd

bruh that thumbnail was such a good bait and I fell for it.. good job Scott

I love this game, but theres a part of me that hopes this game just die off because of things like this
