Pig will likely get nerfed | Dead by Daylight

My quick thoughts on why I think Pig will get nerfed in the near future, specifically the amount of time she can currently delay Survivors with her RBTs. Considering the changes of the next update, I’m very confident that she will spike above other Killers in average killrate and they’ll tweak her in some way. This nerf could be a good thing if it came paired with an overall buff to her chase potential, but I’m not holding my breath.

  1. This is with her best addons and she needs the extra time to get downs. and the survivors can manage when her power activates. This is certainly not the strongest thing in the game. And the five boxes means survivors have to travel less and you can't harass them as efficiently.

  2. I don't think she needs a nerf just because she actually feels like she has a power now.
You brought two purples anyway (living pretty expensive there, high roller), she should Definitely feel strong. I play with brown addons, she should still feel strong.
Killers don't need to be barely noticeably different flavors of tonic water, and they shouldn't feel reliant on having specific perks or addons just to have any effect on survivors.

That whole "everyone is going to use these strong addons" is pretty nonsense because I don't think most people have 99 stacks of purples or iridescents like a pro streamer, those expensive and rare addons are usually reserved for bad days for most players I think.

  3. I can see why this is frustrating for survivors, but I don't see why this change isn't healthy overall.

It stops people speedrunning matches, and adds a unique interaction that is required to complete the game.

The only forseen problem is a unique build that burns resources to make the game easier for killer. If anything, the add-on should get nerfed, and not the base kit.

From a purely viewer standpoint, it looks a lot more fun to watch. Survivors actually struggling and not bullying killers, matches being extended, and meaningful pressure plays by killer.

I'm all for it as is, but take my opinion for what is it as a pure viewer of DBD content.

  4. I am more than okay with Pig receiving these indirect buffs with zero repercussions. She deserves to finally feel like a genuinely strong killer after all this time.

In fact, I wouldn't mind also buffing her ambush cooldown to be in line with the new basic attack cooldown. Same goes for other killers whose special attack cooldown used to be exactly the same as the basic attack cooldown.

  5. Imagine if a Killer's power is actually a threat. No no no, it's gotta ultra safe be like Sadako's Condemned or it's OP. Next Nemesis' zombies need to have their movement speed reduced, also they can't go near hooks or generators.

  6. Great, just when I wasted all my BP during the event getting my Pig addoned out and full of perks, they managed to break her in a good way, so we know the nerf bat is coming out with murderous intent. BHVR boutta give her 1 trap a match instead of just fixing the bugged addons lol

  7. I still think Dyling Light actually has a place with Pig. Especially with the previous update.

It actually buys you time to get stacks without having to have a moderate slowdown on the last generator

  8. "nurse op", lol why? cuz shes the only killer that can deal with anything at the top level? lmao survs get handfed by the devs and when theres only one thing in the whole game that can beat the top mmr you scream and cry and call it op. surv mindset in this game is why its unbelievably unbalanced. the nurse nerf is gonna kill the game 🙂

  9. I have an idea for a pig trap rework. I came up with it pretty quickly so it may not be the best, but i think it could be interesting and kinda thematic.
Basically, every survivor at the start of the trial would have the probability of removing their rbt at 4 tries. However, every survivor would have a hidden "scale" that dictates how many tries it takes to remove the trap.
This scale would change based on how well the survivor played against the pig (stunning pig, blinding pig, escaping chases, that sort of thing) and the better the survivor performed, the less chances it takes to remove the trap. The reverse would be true as well, so if the pig was dominating a survivor (getting ambush hits, fast downs) the chance to remove the trap would go up for that survivor.
Every survivor would have a different scale against the pig, so one survivor might get their trap off quickly whereas another might do all four attempts. The reason I said its thematic at the beginning is because in the Saw movies, the better you did in the whole game, the better chance you have at surviving, but those who aren't good enough get killed by traps.
This would get rid of any rng surrounding the traps, but I do realize that the power itself might be kind of oppressive towards bum survivors, but like I said I came up with this idea while watching this video and thought I would share. Lmk what you think!

  10. Maybe I’m just unlucky with the traps but i hate playing against her. If i get hooked i get harassed the whole time trying to get my trap off or it takes like 4 tries to get it off and I almost always die.

  11. I totally don't see ur point. U won those chases cause 1. You are a sigma male. 2. You got Spirit Fury endurance so pretty much negated pallet stuns. Take those out and you would've get less hooks in the time the traps were off the game and the average mid skilled killer don't play as well as you.

  12. Is it an awful idea to just let Pig move at 4.0m/s or 4.4m/s instead of 3.6 while crouched? They have been buffing and nerfing her RBTs since she came out, but hardly touching the other side of her kit.

  13. Oh boi I sure do hope they won't do anything else besides nerfing the problematic addons or balancing the boxes. They probably should rework them so absolutely no RNG gets involved.

  14. From personal experience, getting a portable AC unit is a great way to mitigate heat while not super expensive. I got one for around $200 and it's lasted me over a year without any complaints. Maybe that will help Otz?

  15. I don't think Pig should be able to get head pops so easily. I think it should be mainly for slow down. Also, maybe make adjustments for the last generator so she can't just put the trap on your head so close to end game. It can basically be a death sentence especially if she opens the gates herself.
