Really hope we don't see Lootboxes coming to DBD. It would be nice though if these were rewards for devotion / prestige or playtime for FREE and never to purchase, and you'll be able to unlock one rift completed skin for each level up or maybe prestige on a character
You do have prestige skins in dbd mobile already!!! That is how it's gonna work on pc also i think. You collect special shards to upgrade your skins from silver to gold and gold to platinum.

Loot boxes are a thing in DBD Mobile. They used to give iri shards and auric cells there, if you were lucky.

Sorry i dont think Loot Boxes are coming to DbD if i remember right 4 Country´s have allready a Ban on Loot Boxes and in total 18 Countrys are planning a regulation on Loot Boxes. China and Japan are some of these Countrys who Plan to Ban Loot Boxes AND Daylie Log in rewards. And with Europe where are some Bans allready kicked in and some Countrys are still debating it makes no sense at all to bring Loot Boxes to the Game.
There is no Marked and no Future for Loot Boxes. (thank god)
Thats why almost every Game is trying now to find another Predatory Solution like Battle Passes or whatever.
From a Buisness Point of view Loot Boxes are a risk since so many Country´s now file against it or for a regulation that making the move to bring them to the Game would be a desaster financially.
Lootboxes always gives players ptsd for reason. Question is, if this will be additional thing and that's not a overhaul to whole shop that will it affect someone who like the game and is not bothered with skins or have favourite ones unlocked.
My main fear is that every change in monetization would make the game even less enjoyable for new playerbase.
Best thing would be lootboxes with licensed/original perks that player never unlocked in their loot pool that you are just given by playing, but that's something bhvr will probably not do unfortunately. It could be additional thing on top of miserable shrine of secrets for new players.

If anything i hope that these lootboxes are something like cod black ops4, for anyone who doesn't know this is how it works, there's a few ways to earn them, either complete certain challenges that include a crate as a reward, progressively level up,or purchasing them, and if you get three that are duplicates, that third one will be guaranteed to be something you don't have,if it's like this I'll have no complaints

Personally, I’m a fan of loot boxes, I get a similar thrill out of it. My only problem would be if you can only get certain outfits in the loot boxes that was never released elsewhere.
Loot boxes 'could' work, if they guarantee something you don't already own, and are priced fairly.

I'm 100% Fine with Lootboxes, as long as it hits 3 notes.
1 It HAS to be purchasable by shards, and cheaper than it is in the shop to buy a single piece. There needs to be some reason to Gamble other than buy them outright.
2 It Can not be entirely random with bloodpoints in it. If they want to throw some points on top, that's fine, but you should never be able to spend money and get nothing but bloodpoints out of it, especially since once you finish the grind there's nothing to spend it on.
And finally… 3 They can NOT give you the same cosmetic you already own. This is worse than giving bloodpoints, even if they cash it in for shards. At that point, you're just loosing money.
I have a little bit of faith in BEHAVIOUR, Not a ton, but they did take the battlepass idea, something I was entirely against, and make it the most fair one I have ever seen and fun to do. Hopefully they can take lootboxes and make it fair, but there is no way in hell are they adding them and not making them purchasable with Auric Cells.
If lootboxes come to dbd ill uninstall and never look back. Thats a 100% deal breaker for me. Its a p.o.s tactic and shows the have no love for their own game.

Honestly, if we don't need to buy these but are a bit harder to get and no duplicates then that's fine.
I love lootboxes as long as you get them for free in some way and the way to buy them is only with earnable currency like R6S does it with Alpha Packs and if it you can buy those lootboxes through real money then the skins in it should just also be available in the store for purchase just more expensive so the non gamblers dont have to take a chance
I love how the devs are so fast with monetization, but when it comes to the health of the game it would take years.
