The lag was so bad that the game was literally unplayable 50% of the time. I can link a video here to show you just how bad the lag was, if you'd like. It's comical. You can't really blame people for dc'ing
Completely unplayable atm, but I think why people dc so much needs to be looked at more in depth. Like that Meyers at the end very well may have hit them on their screen, I've been getting refunded so much lately and somehow been eating Dead hards despite waiting halfway thru the animation then performing a lunge attack. I've had people fully finish a DH yet I still somehow eat one. Game is in a truly miserable state right now

DC penalties should never be turned off because this community is beyond entitled to their winning and will always fuck over their team as soon as possible the moment they think they could lose.

there should be some penalty D: im not good but killers still dc against me after any slight outplay and my teammates leave when they go down early
I mean, if someone REALLY doesn’t want to play the game then they’ll eat the DC penalty. But when it’s off players will DC over anything. Playing on NA servers we haven’t had any server issues but so many people are rage quitting even when their side is winning.
Actually I think that many thing like this its happening because many players are getting tires of many things on the game, such as the new killer meta, the toxic behaviors of killers tunneling, or survivors doing bad things

Late game bunny techs by survivors are hilarious
I don't care super much about escaping most of the time so if a teammate DCs early it's whatever
If someone DCs when i'm playing killer it's always quite funny
It's always funny to laugh at Otz' law, I have a whole collection of screenshots of people who DCed after bringing a map on my discord
The only time it annoys me is when I'm doing an escape streak and we're far enough into the match where the game has to count by my rules, but even then we're usually able to bring it back and escape
I can totally see why it would be annoying for other people, though. It is abandoning your team.
Was playing survivor today against an oni as soon as the first down happened my teammate dced then a twitch streamer dced after first down bro buff the experience if that happens make it so you can repair gens faster
DC penalties should remain off.
If a player is not enjoying the match they shouldn't be forced to stay in it just so the opposing side can feel better about themselves.
DCing is perfectly understandable if the game is boring, stale or sweaty and nobody should be forced to stay somewhere they don't want to be.

I was playing Pig a few times yesterday and got at least 1 DC every game. On one of them it was within the first 10 seconds. Either it was coincidental or they saw the jigsaw box and said "nope".

This is why it exists. People are too entitled and just quit. It happens. We all rage quit here or there. Well. Most of us do. I have. But I don’t often and also no will anyone else if there penalty is 30 mins, 1 hour!
My biggest problem is the ping that went from 60 to 220 and ruined most of my matches. While in others it was normal.
DCing makes things worse for everyone in this game. I admit that I DCed once or twice in the past, the most recent one of which was when the killer got on my nerves somewhow. Still, I don't want to do it again.
Anyway, there must be some kind of leveling element for the remaining survivors when someone DCs. Perhaps a permanent gen repair boost of about 5%?
As someone who got a dozen of those unplayable laggy servers full of rollbacks, breaking apart most aspects of perks and chases, I'm actually glad I can end my suffering quickly.
As someone who plays both sides. I can guarantee…even after all the babysitting…survivor side is the whiniest and the one who cries more, and with DC penalties there's no game I see a DC

sometimes i dc because of my internet connection or the game gets very laggy and automatically disconnect and still get a punishment for that
Its ok that we are a better comunitty with dc penality but if this game is so laggy its the developers work that is not the fault of the players I personally hate playing with lag and I understand the laggy dcs
Once I was banned for a while day because of the fact that the last 2 survivors were hiding and I was in the match for like a half hour and u had enough. Also there's a new update?
