Reworking 5 Forgotten Killer Perks! (Dead by Daylight)

Hey everyone, today we’re going to be reworking five killer perks that have been somewhat forgotten, largely due to low usage and questionable power. The idea of this is to suggest changes that’ll get the perks usage up, but not necessarily make it rival the best perks in the game, just up it to a good standard whilst also making it a bit more fun. If you’ve got a good idea for any of these perks and how they could be changed, please do drop it down below. Let’s get into it.

Chapter XXI is a Hellraiser one! The DLC is currently out and features the new killer, The Cenobite, or Pinhead. This is, however, the only content that seems to be releasing with the chapter.

  1. About your Idea for Furtive Chase:
Theres a problem, because you still see the killers light when youre oblivious. Also you hear chase music when youre oblivious so the effect isnt really that noticeable. I would suggest making the killer undetectable for a certain amount of time after entering a chase (not 8*4 seconds because that would be way too long) Maybe even give this perk a cooldown of some sorts.

By the way there aren't too many perks in the game centered about hooking the obsession.
Theres: Furtive Chase and Dead Mans Switch which you both want to rework in a way that they are not centered around it anymore.

About your Idea for Dead Mans Switch:
I think its almost good but I wouldnt add the Entitys Claw part. (Although that would be a good counter to Deliverance or Kobes in general). Also I wouldnt add those Yellow Glyph skillchecks with this perk. I would rather utilize the Skillchecks that come with Opression or DS.

About your Idea for Blood Favor:
I wouldnt add this effect because its way too RNG based. I would just increase the radius of this perk or change it in a way so every dropped pallet in a radius around you gets broken if you hit or in your case hook a survivor.

Love your videos those are just the thoughts I had seeing this one.

  2. i think the dead mans switch idea is pretty cool, but it loses the actual theme of a Dead Man's Switch, which is a device that activates what its tied to (often a bomb) once its released, making it impossible to stop ones the switch is pressed, even if the holder dies. so i think a thematic, more useful idea would be a situation where any time a survivor stops healing, cleansing or working on a gate before theyre finished, they become incapacitated for 10 or so seconds, so they have to commit to things. it might be a bit too strong if it affected gens too, since its an 80 second commitment, but if it were made a hex totem, then i think adding it to gens would be fine too.

  4. I know it’s not a killer perk, but one that I feel needs a definite change is Kate Denson’s “Boil Over.” It either needs to be the exact opposite of Iron grip, where it decreases the time to wiggle out of a killers grasp, or alternatively, it needs to be that the aura of hooks needs to be changed to something like 16/32/48 Meters, cause 16 at max, just doesn’t cut it, they could easily get to a hook outside the current radius, and made even more so when using Iron Grip itself. I feel like a fight back perk needs to feel more like a fight back.

  5. Honestly with Blood Favor I'd just say either make it a non-hex perk or straight up remove the cooldown altogether. Either way increase the range and maybe block windows. Way too weak to warrant being a hex (let alone Blight's Tier 40)

  6. Doesnt make much sense to make the survivor oblivious only during chase with Furtive Chase. If you're already in chase, what is the use of not hearing the terror radius? The Killer is already on top of you.

  7. furtive chase is a bit dumb because if you're in a chase it doesn't matter if you have a terror radius they will still hear chase music and if they aren't in a chase the perk isn't being used unless oblivious gets rid of chase music as well
