  1. Choy I think for the first one you misunderstood the terror radius gimmick. It isn’t that you gain 48 meters of terror radius per gen it’s goes up to 12 meters for the first gen then 18 meters for the second one and so on. I agree that power sucks tho

  2. this is definitely trivial but.. I hate how people ignore the detail that ringu is not exactly the same as the ring, Its certainly not important but its a bit annoying that only one of them uses sadokos original name, none of these concepts were particularily.. bad though with a bit of balancing i can see a lot of these concepts being a possibility! – okay jokes aside, Im waiting to see some REAL good concepts, i can tell in a month theres gonna be TONS of amazing ones, I hope you'll revisit this when there is more to go off of!

  3. I think where most killer fan concepts miss the mark is that they focus so much on the passive, there's no actual satisfying input the killer has.

If there's no skill to learning the power, basically you're just an M1 killer where the power plays itself. That's not fun to use as a killer, and survivors won't feel like the killer earned the down.

  4. All I have in the way of ideas is firstly, she'll have a mobility based secondary power (teleport via tv or well most likely). The second part is where I really don't know. I'd like to see a power that debuffs survivors as generators are completed. Not in the "repair gens or heal slower" but something actually strong. Anytime a gen pops, the survs that worked on it become oblivious for say… 45 seconds. Each gen finished causes exposed, killer movement speed buff (nothing crazy, just 4.8), permanent obliviousness, etc. Not in that order obviously. That would fit the lore the best. However… That doesn't sound fun on either side. I saw something about Sadako being semi-permanently in spirit world (phase, therefore would be invisible, unable to attack, unable to see survivors, and is 177%). I'd add on top of this, she can channel out similarly to wraith uncloaking. She can only be outside of the spirit world for a limited amount of time, and during that time, she moves at 4.8, in order to maximize her time while out. Her cooldown would be based on how long she was out. I'd like to say, we are getting a chapter of the Ring novels, and the Japanese movie. Samara is not who we are getting. Secondly, the devs worry about staying true to the character, and being fun. They don't care about how viable the power is. Sadako is either going to be game breaking or bad but incredibly unique. I say this, because the novels and Japanese movie are very different compared to The Ring. The novel (technically what the chapter will be based off of for the most part) is much more sci-fi thriller mystery. In the novels, it's kind of a curse/virus that isn't even exclusive to the video tape, which is where I get the idea of the status effects being applied to survivors as the game progresses. I both hate and love to say it, anti loop isn't going to be a thing in the chapter. There's no feasible way to make it work with the source material in mind. Side note, Sadako doesn't skitter, she moves quite slowly when crawling. I'd like to see kayako (the grudge girl) as a killer, because she can skitter, and would be actually scary imo. Or even the Japanese urban legend Teke Teke (bisected woman crawls very quickly, and has a garden scythe). Lastly, sorry for most likely not making sense, and rambling. I have ADHD, and beyond that, I don't have a lot of people to take about dbd or ringu with, so when I comment on videos about it, I kinda just spew all of my thoughts.
