I think i figured out the schism in DBD.
Killers when they play they have to think about 4v1. they are not facing a survivor alone they are facing a team of survivors.
Survivors when they play they are all about 1v1. They are not playing as a team to try to escape they are all about their own survival.
So when a killer downs a survivor and hooks them with pain residence and gets a ping across the map, killers don't see a problem as they see it as facing a team downing a teammember and getting a little slowdown against the entire team.
Meanwhile survivors see it as a slight. HOW DARE THE KILLER GET A REWARD FOR DOWNING A TEAMMATE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MAP! THAT SHOULD NOT RUIN THEIR 47 SECOND GEN RUSH! so survivors complain.
Honestly there was a suggestion i saw that could have fixed this. When you hook a survivor on a scourge hook with pain res the scourge hook moves from the hook to another hook x meters away. Thus it resolves the idea they tunnel and hook on the same hook over and over. it also breaks synergies as some scourge hooks only apply their value on people hooked and people unhooked from scourge hooks. Meaning that Pain res won't be great with other scourge hooks.
do you have any suggestion for Oni build? i've been strugling to find a build after this update so i've just slapped nerfed perks like pop and scourge 😂. I'm also kinda new to the game so i don't most of the paid perks
Keep at it with the videos, friend, you're doing very well. Remember to blur the moris or parts that are too graphic because YouTube will demonitize it.
I still really like new pain res. 25% off of a generator after your first chase is actually huge IMO
It also has pretty good synergy with No Way Out.
Edit: Do agree with it being incompatible with deadlock. But that's also because almost every gen slowdown perk is incompatible with deadlock. Deadlock doesn't really synergize well with active slowdown

Dude! I’d say you’re easily one of the best killers in dbd and I thought it would be super wild to see you go up against the team of Ayrun, Otz, Dowsey, and JRM 🙌 those guys make a crazy team but you slay as killer. Might be too epic of a match though, servers might crash lol
