Should you Open or leave the box?! Pinhead gameplay! | Dead by Daylight

Hey all it’s PotatoPinhead here I hope you’re well!
In yesterdays stream we explored how gameplay would feel if you left the box alone vs actually opening the box.

Lets just say the results are very clear throughout the first gameplay…

I hope you all enjoy the pinhead gameplay!

  1. He won't be A tier. Survivors can break chains by touching them or using environment to break them off at any time. Killer also breaks his own chains by walking through them.
He stops still when using his power.
Teleportation and chain hunt are very unreliable as the tool for chase as survivors will hold on to the box and if they open it killer merely starts the chase with them if he teleports. It seems teleport only happens after survivor opens the box.

  2. When you aim into them with your ability, can you turn 360 degrees? If not, he’s restricted to that front view you have of them when you use the ability. Is doubling back a good counter for this then?

  3. High skill cup if you’re trying to make a long range shots with that single hook but if they’re doing what you’re doing during the match that’s not high skill cap. That’s literally quick scoping and I foresee getting heavily abused with this killer. Any personal quick scope the previous games are going to be able to bring that skill into this game and do this it’s just gonna take a little finagling for each individual player. I’d say maybe it takes the person learning this killer less than a couple of days if not we’re at the most a week. Also, survivor casual players are not gonna like this killer so I foresee a lot of DC‘s happening because of it.

I’m not psyched to play against his killer because he feels like he has 1-2 passive abilities at any given time plus a secondary objective for the survivors and an M1 ability.

  4. I think the killer should partially dematerialize a little bit when he’s trying to lay down a gateway. If they make no changes to the killer I just hope that they add a little bit more in for the survivor. Annoys for when he’s laying down a gateway or teleporting and that’s why I like the idea of him dematerialize because it lets you know that he is currently getting ready to eat and shoot at you it’s like when the countries grunts you know she’s about to throw a hatchet which will tell you to look behind you if you don’t look behind you that’s on you. The killer is a little overpowered in his ability to be stealthy and sneaky.

  5. No one else find it weird that the killer doesn’t have a penalty for missing a hit?

I feel like this killers entire power was designed around preventing looping. And his abilities were ratchet up to go up against incredibly skilled loopers but everyone who’s play strategy is it centered around looping it’s going to sucks for. This killer feels like he sits nicely between Bubba and the Spirt but I feel like a lot of survivors are going to feel like he’s OP because you might get a decent chase as a survivor but most survivors are not top tier loopers. I came to this conclusion because why else would there be a penalty for survivors for using the environment to break the chain. The penalty for breaking it with the environment is that a fourth chain reposition itself and attaches to you. It’s the only way to fast break the chains in a looping scenario unless a team member runs through the chains, which involves coordinating that solo queue players don’t have which means this killer and solo queue is going to do very well but on the same here I won’t be surprised if a lot of survivors DC and I can’t really blame them.

  6. I'm disappointed… Hell riser is one of the most boring horrors ever. This killer is annoying and when I played against him I felt like I'm playing against Spirit. So ezy dc or trying to kill myself asap.

  7. I love your content but almost everything you just said is so wrong. A lot of people have already explained it so I won’t bother. Just look at every 3rd comment and please don’t spread this misinformation.

  8. Out of my 3 years of playing dbd, I've never been this disappointed in BHVR's decision. I cant wait to see what the next chapter will be, since this is by far the worst killer they have ever added into this game. I wonder if we'll get a paragraph for a next survivor, or another 2 survivor chapter again? Who knows, but for the first time in this game I'm more excited for the next survivor than the killer. This is the first character I will not be buying, and will DC against every match. Honestly, everyone else should do the exact same just to show BHVR that this is a terrible decision.
