Dead By Daylight announced today that standardized pricing is coming to the new reworked version of the cosmetics store with the new update coming on April 23rd. But what does that mean? They said nearly 130 cosmetic items will have price reductions. Let’s poke around the store and see if we can identify which items will be getting price reductions.

Me being able to see twitch shirts and other exclusive cosmetics, makes me want them avadible in the shop even more.

That’s alright I guess, but they hardly make greens anymore. Most of them are purple, and most of the overpriced green/yellow ones are from years ago.

I would guarantee, if they had given examples of lower prices, people would have asked if that would be the only ones. 😛
Would make more sense to decrease iri prices or give us a way to earn more. I think they missed the mark a little bit. Almost 30k iris for certain cosmetics is insane. I think they should remove the free blood points from the rift and put iri shards in their place. Ya know considering we get blood points for everything 😂
The sad part is I have these on my ps5, I just want what I've already bought and earned since 2016 on my PC account.
No non licensed cosmetic should cost more than $1. $11 for a Kate cosmetic that I can’t always mix and match is unreasonable and always has been.
“Iri shards” and “price increase” are two ideas that should never be put into the same sentence. Even when I was unemployed during the pandemic, collecting shards for outfits was STILL unreasonably grindy even when I had all the time in the world.

Edit: also quick question i was watching a DBD SFM an i swore i heard you voicing the clown, im aware you worked with the creator on a different video regarding you an your mannequin wife so im not seeing it as impossible that you are the voice of her clown in those SFMs can you confirm or deny?

The one that was noticable for me was the black leather piggy dropping in price to be normal and it being a purple rarity. 🙂
That twitter post was packed to the brim with reading comprehension fails. It was baffling to see how many people misinterpreted it haha

Thank you! I think the main problem is that recent cosmetics are 99% purple, which is worth roughly 2,3 characters … And when not purple, they are iridescent and cost 30k.
Shards grinding is much much easier now (several events that double or multiply Xp, greater login bonuses during main events etc.) but still nothing compared to the sheer amount of new – purple – cosmetics.
At least we can buy 99% of them with shards for original characters.
Don’t really see a big problem with a 100 iri shard increase. Considering I already have those two skins, I will say that there is no point of buying Mr. Puddles at the full price anyways, the knife is extremely small and mediocre compared to the rest of the skin, that alone saves you over 7000 shards for anything else. People need to stop tweaking, over 130 are being reduced be happy about something for once.
Honestly wished they doubled the value of getting shards from leveling up, since one devotion is around 24,000 shards and grinding levels take a long time
They need to add a preview for mix outfits
They should incentivise doing daily rituals more by givjng shards. Cant say how many times i just dont do rituals, mainly because theyre killer rituals for killers i dont want to play, and i barely get survivor rituals anymore. The bloodpoints arent even worth it when i reach 2 mil and then spend a mil to prestige a character

It's great you took the time to look for actual examples of price reduction on the store! Watching the affected outfits I can say the ones that are becoming cheaper is because when the outfit thing started we got one for each character that was slighly better or more original, and therefore priced higher; and then we got more and more outfits and rifts and awesome collections, and those initial better outfits felt like regular ones. (I know you know, Paulie, just informing late players).

Its crazy to me seeing what you get as a new player. 5 kilers, 7 survivors…..and yet those were the best days. Also the worst lol
NGL the iri shard increase on those three kinda highlights how stingy bhvr are with Iri shard distribution. Can we please get more iri shards? maybe that will get me back into dbd for a short while at least.

I believe the reason why some of these cosmetics are more expensive than others is because before everything non licensed in the shop was purchasable with iridescent shards, or auric cells, there were some cell only cosmetics that were now purchasable for shards but at a higher price than normal.
Does this pricing structure apply to licensed cosmetics and licensed Legendarys? If so, seeems odd to paint themselves in a corner, considering licensed costs for Behavior & license holder cut of sale will differ greatly depending on license. Especially odd, considering Behavior is supposedly about to start releasing more limited-time licensed content for licensed holders that will only make limited-time deals (mainly Legendarys, I can only imagine and hope) — why limit for themselves the deals they can make?
Fortnite just got rid of rarity, specifically to open up the variety of price points they can charge various licensed content at.
