  1. So after 3,000 hours I finally completed all the builds in the game , Now I have to put more hours into completing a build guide for the entire community, Because apparently nobody knows how to play , I don't blame them the game has changed a lot , Most of the content on youtube is just jabberjabber

  2. How can you guys get burned out , people haven't even done anything lol They just put co-op mode in the game , You can get 12% percent speed boost with no scratch marks What more could you possibly want ?

  3. honestly, I kinda do have something on the line for playing daily: finishing up the battle pass before it expires :v

I've enough time to just grind out one level a day and I'll be golden. Just a shame 90% of killer challenges this tome are complete arse to do.

Part of the reason why after I finish the pass I want to take a break for a while, I'm just kinda fizzled out on the game. Not completely burnt, but definitely "not in the mood".

  4. Oh, I find killer pretty stressful. Sometimes I can get into the zone for it, but I'm just "straight up not having a good time" most days. Which grates on my nerves when my dailies keep trying to make me play killer when I'm not in the mood to do so.

  5. One thing i wish could change in this game is there to be a ranked mode and a casual mode as mmr makes every match a sweaty match and more times than not, after a few matches i feel exhausted as you have to bring your A game each match or you get walked all over. I just really don't like mmr in this game as there are hardly ever any relaxing matches. It forces everyone into a competitive mode.

  6. I feel this, it’s why I stopped playing billy, which is unfortunate because I used to have so much fun playing him, but before I dropped him every game felt stressful, where I’d either have a good game and have a ton of fun, or I’d bump into a million walls as generators kept finishing.

Rn I’m playing xeno and even when I’m losing it doesn’t feel as bad. Like playing poorly doesn’t feel as punishing.

  7. Honestly I subscribe to the philosophy that if you’re not having fun with a game, you should play another game, having learnt that lesson the hard way. Even with how obnoxious MFT and sometimes Buckle Up are to deal with, I have a lot of fun with this game, and if I find myself getting tilted, I know I can play or replay other games. Certain things in a game can be unfun, but if they tilt you to the degree you’re like fuck this game, or in general if you’re just ‘DBD sucks l hate the game’… just don’t play DBD!

For me personally, old Dead Hard with the dash combined with pre nerf Circle of Healing made me fall out of love with the game back then. So I stopped playing. Came back because of Wesker, basically got a new main because I love playing him so much, then new DH tilted me, so again, I took a break for a couple of months. MFT had me the same way on its release, so I took a couple of weeks break from DBD and although I still hate that perk, and it does tangibly make me want to play less, cleansing that burnout was super beneficial for me and I’m able to step away and recognise when I need a break from the game. I’m rambling here but I guess the point is, burnout is real, finding mechanics unfun is valid (they’re your feelings ultimately); but it’s also entirely on you to recognise if you’re not having fun and take a step away.

I think the time that mindset clicked for me was when Brigitte in OW1 if anyone remembers that released genuinely ruined every game I saw, before I’d be the type to persevere through games I found frustrating but I guess 17 year old me learnt that valuable lesson of… playing different games and stop doing stuff if I don’t find it fun, from being so frustrated at release Brig lol.

  8. Honestly the way I deal with dbd is when I get upset at the game I like to watch others play it. Your streams are like half of my dbd consumption now and honestly I'm happy to play the game just once a while

  9. There are three keys to enjoying playing SoloQ, in my opinion.

The first is to just not care about pipping or surviving. Pipping as soloQ survivor is nightmarishly frustrating since what it asks of survivors is straight up unreasonable (and I'm saying this as someone who prefers the killer role). If you just enjoy the chase and the act of playing the game, nothing that happens can bother you. If you get tunneled, well you got to enjoy the chases and then you're onto the next game. If you get camped, just vibe for a minute and move on once you die.

The second key is to arm yourself against whichever killer tactic annoys you the most. For me, I find killers who slug for the 4k incredibly annoying. So I look for opportunities to slot in Unbreakable, and if the killer tries to get greedy in a game they already won, I can pick myself up and punish them for it.

The third is to make objectives for yourself beyond escaping. If you have a challenge, focus on doing that. If you don't have a challenge, just come up with a goofy challenge for yourself to make things interesting. Like trying to get Head On value, or trying out a new perk you don't use much and seeing if you can get value out of it.

  10. I don't play the game a whole lot, so if I want to complete the rift I need to play solo queue, which I hate. I consider not even doing it, but man I like rewards. It does keep me smart though, as I know both sides.

  12. Ironic, swf is what got me to stop playing, because even as a stealth killer they can pre-run and it's impossible to catch them off guard. It's not even fun, you go to where a gen is 90% done and scratch marks are already fading away meaning they started running about 10 seconds before you even showed up. It's not fun, swf ruins the game for both killers and for ssurvivors, because they're gonna have to keep buffing killer or nerfing survivor to keep up with swf, and soloq is going to feel worse and worse while swf feels more and more necessary. I play 64% survivor 46% killer, I track my stats so I'm definitely not a killer main.

Also your solutions are not very feasible: I don't want to play swf because I can't always talk in my house with family members, sometimes I just wanna chill on my own, I don't always want to wait for people to join I just wanna do a quick 2-3 games and get back to studying

To say that I have to play the game in a particular way otherwise it's not fun and instead is frustrating means that there is a fundamental flaw that needs addressing.
