  1. Saddest part I think is the fact that most stranger things games that are supposedly on the market now I have not even heard of, makes you wonder if the whole Netflix going for its own game is going to be any better than dead by daylight was.

  2. The logic I see about the map leak is that perhaps they made the map just in case Stranger things would get licensed. If it does get licensed in the future, all they would have to do is finish final details.

  3. I don't think its very likely we will get a return, especially when you look at the business experience Netflix and BHVR had. First the contract with BHVR was never renewed and characters had to be removed from the shop. Second after the characters were removed from the game Netflix says we are "Open to License "Big" video game titles", is kind of a slap in face to BHVR and its bad business on Netflix's end.

  4. Honestly I would love for it to come back. I don't think it will however. And granted, while they don't need a contract to work on a map, or any kind of agreement to do so, bhvr wouldn't waste the time making a map on the chance that it may come back when they can spend that time working on things that they know will be in game.

  5. I really miss Hawkins Laboratory map design, it felt so different from the others, with only Lery's Memorial Institute being close to that unique and specific map, I think we need more diverse maps like these that I mentioned, also I really want a New Mode with 2 Killers Vs 8 survivors with 10 generators, I think this should be at least interesting at the beginning, what do you think? 🤷🏻‍♂️✌️☯️

  6. Does anybody else have a feeling that BHVR managed to capture the leaker who leaked The Dredge, Wesker and The Knight? Before we knew everything so many months in advance and now there is no news and leaks at all.

  7. If Stranger Things isn’t openly discussed within the next month and isn’t announced as the next Chapter (or to return alongside it) then we can forget it until Season 5

  9. I dunno guys, I don't feel like DBDLeaks is getting very good information these days. Seems like they found the mole… Like, we would already know what the entire next chapter is if they still had someone on the inside.

  10. I'm hoping because there is no chapter announcement from the holidays, BHVR has improved its NDA punishments, info tracking and stuff internally. When you think about how other studios can keep their stuff internal, BHVR looked like a siv in comparison. As for ST I don't hold out any hope for it. Simply because BHVR either takes too long, or is never in sync with promoting material. The chance to do Candyman literally came and went, they see Chucky as a joke, yet he's literally the most relevant OG killer with the tv series right now and using that to cross-promote would be a massive win for both parties. So I don't see ST coming back.

  11. So basically this Mike guy is the reason why stranger things is no longer buyable in dbd? Dude seriously thinks that making some new stranger things game is actually gonna take off and do as well as it did in dbd xD

  12. I hope with my whole heart it comes back because right now you need to cough up like $100 for it on a third party website and I will only buy a killer and two survivors for the same price as Elden Ring once I'm 100% sure it's the only way to ever get them

  13. Honestly, Idgaf about stranger things. I rather starve for a week than watch it honestly, and I haven’t seen 1 minute of it or attempted to. I simply want demogorgon back. Seems fun character to play. But I also could give up dbd because they don’t seem to care about the player experience and rather pedal out thirsty cosmetics. And rather than putting characters on sale, they only put cosmetics. They also don’t let u try out killers you don’t own in custom games vs bots which is huge missed opportunity. It is clear they want you to buy a character weather u like or not doesn’t matter if you don’t all the better you’ll be forced to get another if u want to enjoy the game. Speaking from a killer perspective where the ability plays a huge role in how you play. Just general disappointment w the game as a reminder why I quit. Screw the money.

  14. Netflix would be dumb not to bring ST back to DBD. I am pretty sure ST is the most anticipated chapter in DBD, even if it was a re-release with nothing new people would still want it because the killer is so cool and fun. They also have a welcome entry back to the fog, if they so choose.

  15. Actually the Last Year part was a refrence to another older asymmetrical horror game called Last Year:The Nightmare. You can't play it anymore, but they made a Pennywise model. They couldn't release it of course

  16. The map being scrapped is highly possible for 2 main reasons if the contract is indeed signed.

    1. Leaks. Netflix gaming boss has already shown to make quite hasty decisions that actually hurt them very early as they ventured into gaming. The property slowly being licensed back out to games this year pretty much shows that. And they'll definitely want something as big as a return to DbD kept under wraps and announced by them and BHVR jointly and not be leaked. So leaks could have most definitely played a part in this and map could have been scrapped while plans put on hold.

    2. Netflix and BHVR may not have been happy with how the map was turning out, especially with the community reaction to it. There really is no reason for there to be two separate maps of Hawkins unless they were going for an RPD West/East thing, in which case it'd be an updated version of the original Hawkins map. A new chapter should have a new location for its map, not just an updated version of the original map. That was the most disappointing thing about Project W.

I do think it is going to return, but it may be being kept tightly under wraps for obvious reasons. And if/when it does, I don't think the original chapter will return way in advance of the new one like leaks suggested. I think they'll all be released on the same day.

We do still have another licensed chapter for this DbD year to be released based on the previous 2 licenses per DbD year, which for those that don't know, a DbD year starts with each Anniversary. So the upcoming chapter is DLC 4 in Year 6. Then the 7th Anniversary will start a new year. But I could also see them not having a licensed chapter next as I can't really imagine any property they could have landed that won't underwhelm like Ringu did. And if ST is coming back with a new chapter, Vecna would most definitely be the killer and his clock motif fits perfectly with DbD Anniversary.

The fact that leaks have gotten very quiet lately along with confusion and misinformation sprinkled in with leaks from the last two chapters tells me something is going on within BHVR and they've figured out who's been leaking or pinpointed a general area and have put in misinformation as well to combat leaks and erode credibility. Because you have to admit, the string of success and spot on information from DbDLeaks was absolutely flawless for a very long time, right down to them calling out LeaksByDaylight for their laughably bad misinformation and wrong leaks.

  17. Jason has a good chance to come in before we ever get a chapter 2 for Stranger Things. I am still not giving up hope that Netflix will bring it back to DBD. It’s money for both sides, and companies love money.
