  1. I wouldn't compare using an onscreen crosshair to stretch res. If the game were to show you a crosshair it actually wouldn't even be center screen, it's what's called a lowered crosshair. It's what you see in Halo Reach and Halo 4. On top of that, the only characters that would even find use for it are Huntress and Trickster, both of which throw projectiles that have an arc, and with Huntress the trajectory of the arc is dependent on how long you hold the trigger. In other words, a crosshair doesn't actually help in the grand scheme of things. I've used them before, the only thing it helps with is keeping your aim centered left-right and for long distance shots. For less than 100% charged hatchets or shots within like 12m the crosshair won't even match up to where you hit. Additionally, what's to stop someone from just using a sharpie and drawing one on their monitor? Nothing. Stretch res is a clear and obvious advantage because it gives you a better view of your surroundings, which is an advantage for both survivor (see over loops) and killer (built in Shadowborn, it's impossible to hide now). A crosshair gives just a minor advantage, it's like the equivalent of using an on-screen timer to measure time for something like DS or whatever. It's not necessary with practice and becomes rather moot if you are really good at the game.

  2. Unfortunately for me it is impossible to play without the resolution stretched. since yesterday's update my game freezes with every move, every skill check, every hit I gave as a killer and etc… I really used it for a better optimization of the game (I've always played on a notebook). unfortunately it's game over for me, but I'll keep watching the gameplays because I think it's cool

  3. Stop saying stretch resolution reveals Ghostface over the loops. LIE. I've always played stretch res and it's harder to reveal Ghostface using stretch or fov. Sometimes it was difficult to reveal when he is in front of you because you need to center the screen and not just look in his direction. #FACT

  4. I don’t rlly care for it cuz I’m on console but yeah I do think it’s annoying ppl arguing about it like they wanna be weirdos to gain a advantage in a game like dbd go for it.don’t affect me.

  6. That's dissapointing. Stretch res looks super good and I used it in csgo as well. I literally don't use it for advantage I just like the looks and a little fps boost. I hate the way native looks make me feel like a boomer.

  7. i use a 1500 by 1080, it gives me no advantage I cant see over loops and I get nothing out of it but for me to look running fast. I hate feeling slow, and 1920 by 1080 makes me sick. I can't deal with how slow it is. It seriously makes me play worse because I feel like I'm running slower. How about the dbd team just makes stretched res a thing everyone can use? then people will shut up about it being unfair and I can enjoy the way it looks.

  8. I remember when I was playing killer and run into TTV who were using stretch res 🙂 So my sis went to his channel on twitch and told me what he's doing and I did a 4k against him and his 3 friends. SR was disgusting to use, really. I wouldn't stream snipe him, if he played normally

  9. I'd hate to basically just ask, "hOW dO you fEeL aBOuT StreTCh ReZ?" but how does everyone feel about custom crosshairs? I come from FPS games and it's a staple of the genre, it's just what I'm used to having to help me. Of course I don't have anything like that installed on my PC right now but I've been considering it. It's certainly not needed or necessary but I genuinely feel like it could help me with ranged killers. Is this as controversial as stretch rez? Is this an okay thing to consider? I feel like it's not as bad because a crosshair is more of a crutch to help obtain better aim that would otherwise always be obtainable to all players through practice. Stretch rez was more of a thing where you could do things other players couldn't such as abuse Ghostface's reveal mechanic. Opinions would be appreciated.

  10. i wish there was a way we could have stretched without black bars but not the advantage if that makes sense i cant run the game too well on my pc without stretch but glad the advantage is gone

  11. bruh removing stretch res its the same as nothing bc theres a few cheats that people use that are worst, maybe the number of people cheating for that advantage would grow but who knows!

  12. I hate to be the bearer of bad news Rapid. (<3 you videos btw) But, I tested stretched post-nerf, and I have found that you can still use it, and you still have the FOV advantage, the only thing you have is two black bars, but again you still have the advantage.

  13. I tried out stretch res a few times and for me I liked how speedy it felt because of the obvious extra fov (which fov does) but obviously an unfair advantage with the more extreme stretched resolutions. I would love an fov slider for both sides tbh and rather remove perks around fov cause in most games I play I have the fov slider higher than normal.

  14. Liking the way it looks just might mean it's less claustrophobic. Every time I come back to dbd I instinctively scroll backwards on mouse wheel as if it's an mmo and it's gonna give me a better fov. Which has made me consider using stretched res but it looks too goofy other than the liberating fov

  15. I don't necessarily think that stretch res in comp was an issue. As Otz once said they know that they will be going up against people using stretch res so they use it themselves so fair enough. The problem comes in public games where people are just playing for fun and people do this to give themselves an advantage over regular people just playing to enjoy themselves.
