I'm ready I hope it's Kate Wilder and Grantham du met that comes to dead by daylight
Pretty sure they could release it next summer, right before the next TDP, just like they did it with The Quarry. So I doubt they will sleep on it.
It's like a match made in heaven: the Supermassive's games are niche and cheap to make, yet DBD is even cheaper.
My favourite not sotry driven horror game and ym favourite horror driven horror games, this looks promising
It is possible that we are gonna get a game about the backstory of one of the killers. Like how five miners ran from the mad Evan MacMilan
I will break DBD rough lore down
The Entity is a being of unimagineable power, in its own realm it is quite literally god, it can manifest things it can warp reality and make things that usually are impossible possible, (Teleporting like the nurse, healing in just about ten seconds). It however needs sustenance in the form of Emotions. Tat is how the survivors and killers come into play. During a trial the killers have to hunt the survivors and the survivor have to escape. During that they feel despair hope etc, all these emotions feed the entity. If they die they lose a piece of their soul and get sent ot the campfire, if they escape they also end up back at the campfire. It is an eternal cycle of torment for both the survivors and some of the killers as thy are tortured if they do not do the Entities bidding, the Trapper got his wounds and the steel through his shoulders not during his mortal life but because he refused the Entity. That is how it works, the ntity itself can grab both Killers and Survivors from an entire multiverse (not sure why they said Omniverse, there was never a clue about an Omniverse in DBD) and all across time. That is why there are killers which are several hundred years old like the Oni, killers which should not exist in the real world like the Dredge (he comes from a dimension where beings such as him truly do exist) and Micheal Myers (he was taken from a universe where he exists). That is the rough breakdown, there is still some more deep lore and of course the individual backstories of the survivors and killers but that's the rough breakdown.
This game could also be about the cult that worships the Entity
It is possible that the Curator can acess several Universes just like the Entity can, though I doubt he is as powerful as it is
What if The Entity is the thing that's angry with The Curator's actions, like you mentioned in a previous video?
UNTIL DAWN! It’s hands down the best choice. Wendy is the best killer, Mike and (hopefully) Chris are gonna be amazing survivors. PLEASE!
im hoping the quarry comes into dead by daylight. ima be so real i dony rlly want a dead by daylight supermassive game. i dont think its gonna be that good tbh. idk
Hi HOGuru! Loved the input on my theory and you made great points I didn’t even think about! Didn’t even think to compare the vibe of the two structures and notice that they didn’t feel like they were of the same time. Sadly, it’s been confirmed through the recent events like the anniversary stream with Dead By Daylight that the chapter is original, so I don’t think it’s a Directive 8020 crossover unless they wanted to pull a sneaky move on us. Another theory sort of looped in with the same one is that “Simms” was actually an AI that went rogue like the Singularity, which is yet another potential similarity but, of course, likely false at this point. Thank you for talking about my tweet, and I love the points you made! Have a great day!
never stop, love your videos
I had never heard of Dead by Daylight, never mind the fandom associated with it before about a month ago. (It is surprisingly fussy about balancing killer and survivor characters alike.) I was watching Resident Evil top 10s on SinglePlayerNacho’s channel when I saw a couple lore videos about some of the killers there. Now I am knee deep in working knowledge of most of the killer characters, especially those from licensed properties like Resident Evil (collaborated with DbD twice with remake versions of Jill, Leon and Nemesis first, then Rebecca, Ada and Albert Wesker for second wave; thru skins for heroes, you can get the Redfield siblings, Carlos Olivera, and Sheva Alomar.)
HOG, the basic thing that DbD boils down to is a game of man hunt for up to five players: four survivors working to power up generators to escape the battlefield and one killer working to sacrifice the others to The Entity via special hooks, wearing down their health states, or their signature kill, called a “mori”.
Goodness, I love DBD, I remember getting into it when it came the way up until about 3 or so years ago. I still like it but I don't keep up with the lore as much.
Basically theres this entity that thrives off of suffering and takes people into its realm as a sort of endless purgatory.
Benedict Baker was a guy trying to look into the entity and was taken to the realm. He writes a diary that contains much of the word building.
As for taking place in the real world, I believe The Binding of Kin ch 18 is around when they started to expand on elements about the 'real' world knowing of the entity.
So theres a group called the Imperiatti – bunch of intellectuals and professionals that wanted to raise their young to positions of power. And they are sorta related to a skirmish with the occult and the Entity. Élodie and Felix (who are playable characters unlike Benedict) were children of imperiatti members, but didn't like all the high society stuff and stuck to a small club of 5 kids called the Pariahs.
The Twins (hunter) are from the past but were sold to a cult that worshiped the entity. The blight is another hunter related to the Imperiatti and researching the entity in the real world as well.
So theres room for some story to be made. Whatever they end up doing, I'm just happy 2 of my favorite video game studios are working together.
As someone who tried all supermassive project, and played DBD so much masterd all characters and more.
I dont know about this collaboration. Let me explain my self
I love the different characters in DBD from all different franchise but all supermassive late projects from hidden agenda to Devil In Me focus on the story that you make with them who you save who you kill, its your story you're decisions. And personally i am scared that i will play with a character in DBD and them when i play the same character in the real game i will lose the mysterious that all character have in their game their past. Let say Andrew from little hope i cant even imagine him running from a killer.
I cannot wait for more news. Thanks for the info!🙏
Honestly I think the villains in the new game will be the black vale, a cult that worships the entity, and we could possibly be playing the marauders, a group that had elodie and filix in it, that new about the back vale as their parents where trying to stop them before they disappeared.
Also I think that if this chapter was based on directive 2080 wouldn't the survivor be one of the characters from the game and either be an actor someone recognises or one of the models supermassive already has? Not saying it it couldnt be but yeah.
I have theory sooo the virus on ship from directive 8020 is making people want to hurt other people right? And in the devil in me there is information about crasch site ( possibly games prologue ) so what if du met got infected with virus from prologue and thats why he have the urge to kill?
This is the best colab ever i hope they make a supermassive chapter in dbd
What if end transmission is the prologue of directive 8020
Dead by Daylight is boring, So I hope they make it less limited and simple, and more to explore and walk around.
Ha, I think I'm bringing the Hex: No One Escapes Death. That or I'm using Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance.
