  1. That pallet isn't 100% safe, the pallet gym one. If they camp and vault it you can play around the short side as if it was just a normal 50/50 pallet.
If they try to go around the long side you can moonwalk as soon as they go around the corner all the way around the short side to meet them at the pallet, on the other side. It's a silly mindgame that no one really expects since it is very uncommon.
That DS wasn't really bullshit… It was actually countering tunneling, not being just anti-momentum

  2. I had survivor that only run in straight line, and glue on gens indefinitely with unbreakable and DS, and still win the game. Funny enough, the most efficient method is to slug and tunnel is a big no no.

  3. I run Ruin, Corrupt, BBQ and Chili, and Discordance in my Trapper build. Not sure if Discordance is the best perk for someone playing the highest ranks where players split up and do gens individually, but it seems to get me value while Corrupt is up and there are only 4 gens for all 4 survivors. If the survivors bring a map, I give up on the Hex perk and swap out Pop goes the Weasel. No regression really hurt Tru3 against survivors he could have taken down if he had a bit more time.

  4. Maybe the problem with this match is that Trapper is just not a good killer. You waste so much time trying to set up with very little reward, especially with that one player just disarming everything. At least Hag, Demogorgon and Freddy have better momentum when placing traps (they don't have to run to one location and pick a trap). If these were the same players and you were playing any B-tier killer, knowing your skill level, than the outcome would of definitely been better.

  5. This game was annoying to watch.
Just more proof for how you dont even have to be good at the majority of survivor. But as long as you split up on gens. Easy as hell

  6. I think Tru is a bit narrow minded when it comes to looping. In a different video today he basically said the better looper should always win and in this one he loses badly and complains about it simply cause he was outplaying them in the loops. There is more to this game on both sides than just looping. Didn't trap any hooks or gens really but even though they were making bad reads at the loops he still only focused his trap pressure there where he did not really need the help. Trapper can be used as more than just anti loop, he can become a insta down no chase killer if you hide your traps well and make a route to patrol so you are always somewhat close to where you place them on both sides of the map.

  7. Thanks Tru3! Watching this makes me feel much better about myself. I have some serious issues with losing, as I RARELY come into the situation of getting a 3-man or 4-man escape without a key. I always try to improve and find ways to enjoy the game. Sadly the only viable way I found to win against efficient SWF or even SOLO players is getting someone hooked very early and getting that person at least in struggle phase, hoping for a second survivor to show up and slug. If that's not happening 3 gens pop and even if it happens there will be 2 gens done most likely BEFORE the hooked survivor hits struggle phase. I really DO NOT enjoy that playstyle. I play for chases and outplaying the survivors. But I really don't like to do most if not all reads right and still getting punished, because gen times are simply waaay too low. There is ONE counterplay to efficient teams: Faults done by the survivors. It's not in the killers hand.
That really bugs me out most of the time, I really do get mad at the game itself. The survivors do well and I wish to see more of those, because as I said: I rarely get teams that actually escape. And with rarely I mean 1/50 matches (if even).

Looking at your content and hearing a second reputable opinion makes me feel better and I dont feel alone anymore. Thanks for that, it saved more than just my sanity. Probably also a few pc-mice from flying against a wall.

  8. This was the perfect match for me to study up on. Thanks a lot Tru3. I've recently been having trouble finishing matches and getting a lot of hooks as killer in early red ranks. Like you said, even when you outplay them, it all depends on capitalizing on the survivors mistakes, if they make them. Plus, I've been in so many situations where I get 2 hooks but 3 gens have been done. Even though my chases were short. You're right, slugging is the only option. The new meta

  9. I can not understand the choice to thin out the grass in the new maps. It just weakens trapper. He hardly needs a nerf to make traps easier to see. A shame because otherwise the new map visuals are really good.

  11. Regardless of everything, you played amazingly, Tru3! I'm guessing this was a experimental/ request build? If you had Pop, it'd be a 4k I'm sure of it. Keep up the good work, man! Best DBD content creator we have <3
