Rocking what I would consider to be the best and overall most valuable perks you can run in soloQ dbd. Let me know your thoughts on survivor vids in the comments if you feel any type of way, this is kinda uncharted territory for me.

  1. Genuenly the best Survivor video I've watched in a long time. I love watching full, unedited games. Whether it's killer or survivor I want to see the full match. Also it's so refreshing to see a survivor video that isn't "here's a build to make the killers life miserable". Sadly most of the most popular content creators make this type of content for survivor. Just like killer videos I like survivor videos that actually show off skill and fun builds. Not builds that make it a nightmare for the other human being just trying to play a game. I feel like this is a hot take though lol. Anyway love the video Tofu and I'm happy seeing content from either side from you!

  2. Bond is one of the best solo perks. You can use it to catch a heal, team up on gens, avoid other survivors while being chased, see when a survivor is being chased near you, and let's you make the morally dubious choice of just sandbagging other survivors to save your own ass.

  3. Reassurance is honestly super underrated imo. If you had been able to leave that Jane and Leon on hook longer in that first game, for example, you probably could have gotten a two out.

  4. I really enjoyed this video unedited as it is. You filled in the gen parts perfectly. Its really cool hearing such an experienced player go through everything they're thinking, and the state of the game. Would love to see more videos like this!

  5. This video is so painful for me to watch. You are so right on pretty much everything. I play 100% solo q dbd now and this is what I deal with pretty much every game. Teammates are just always so inefficient and never just do gens or make the right choices. I very rarely get a teammate like that ace who has some game sense and makes the right choices. But it doesn't matter because you'll get a teammate like that with 2 others that aren't strong and usually facing an extremely sweaty killer with a good map/setup. My solo q build is usually exactly what you were running but my 4th perk being sole survivor. That or I'll run a couple better gen perks like prove and something and I'll run it with a med kit that gets me a few heals.

  6. I enjoy the "overedited" survivor content from other creators, but after watching those videos, I dont feel like Ive learnt anything from those matches. It is really nice to watch a survivor video that isnt highly cut where I sometimes struggle to follow where in the match we are (I especially hate edits that cut out like a second or two just to "skip" running somewhere as it really confuses me sometimes). It is nice to hear the thoughts of an experienced player even if youre just sitting on a gen holding M1, afterall thats where you spend A LOT of time as a survivor so its nice to learn what you can/should look/listen out for instead.
TLDR: Liked this video a lot, plis make moar 🙂

  7. one thing I NEVER see anyone talk about with self care is the fact that its automatically double the efficiency of healing another survivor for the same amount of time. so self care is really only 15% less efficient than being healed by another survivor. With botany it technically becomes slightly more efficient than being healed by a teammate.

  8. Omg i use this build all the time, excpet with lithe, i really just cant find a teammate to heal me so often. Sometimes i use resi instead of deja for even a bit faster heal, plus u still get gen speed booost if u 99 the heal. i know its bad practice but its spicy and fun >:)

  9. I know you know this, you’ve been doing it long enough, but honestly in regards to the form of survivor content, just make the content you want to see. There are plenty of vine boom short clip form survivor videos on YouTube. Personally I prefer a longer video I can just either turn my brain off and watch for a while or have on while I do something else.

The quality of the video will be so much higher if you just do it how you want it done rather than too much focus on what’s common on YouTube.

  10. imo the best solo queue build is a build that can heavily help out your team by preventing them from getting tunneled and giving them information. You can be an amazing looper, but if you have one teammate getting tunneled/ragequitting then the game often gets much more difficult. Something like:

    1. Kindred (by far the best solo queue perk in the game imo, prevents time waste when having multiple people going for the rescue, helps teammates find each other for resets, gives you overall info on whether the killer is camping and where he is headed, etc.)
    2. We'll Make It (to heal your teammates quickly off hook so they dont get tunneled, pairs super well with kindred since you know when you can unhook safely)
    3. anti-tunnel: OTR/DS/Resurgence (ChickenBigMac2004 in your game would've greatly benefited from this)
    4. 1 perk of your choice to keep things fresh, based on what you find yourself lacking in. Could be Deli which pairs well with the rest of the build considering that you are going to get unhooks to get value out of your perks, could be an exhaustion perk/finesse/resi/hope if you want to take chases, could be deja vu if you want to do gens/want to avoid getting 3-gen'd, could be unbreakable if you find yourself getting slugged a lot, etc.

Item would of course be a medkit with double green add-ons (charges and extra progress on great skill-checks) which pairs super well with resurgence in case the killer is running leverage or other anti-heal perks.

  11. i would say i must prefer this style of survivor video your talking helps through the gen repairing is also very helpful when you talking about the strat that should be done and honestly is alot better then watching someone just got for the gimmick of the build the whole time
