  1. Been getting a lot of negative comments on this video. Just wanted to say, if your opinion differs from mine I respect that. I'm thinking of doing a follow-up video on this topic because both sides have valid opinions.

  2. Basically, they are calling Bubba out cause he seemed racists?

Wow, so basically, if Bubba only wears white skinned mask and let the other bodies he murdered hang in his place; he becomes a white supremacist.

And if Bubba wears Feng's or Jake's skin; That's also racist.

That's just ridiculous. People are just too sensitive nowadays. Imagine getting mad at a killer's trope.

  3. Best way to fix it is to do a patchwork mask with bits of all the survivors on it. That way ppl still have a cosmetic and it can't be used to target an individual group of people. In fact it could be more unifying

  4. Leatherface is literally wearing masks ripped of a persons head. I dont understand why it is particular more disrespectful if he is wearinga black mask than a white mask. Doesnt everybody want skin diversity in games then why stopping at this. I heard about this problem the first time with this debate and I am surely not alone with that. Besides that: You can use every black skinned killer or survivor and insult black people in the endgame chat. I just think its pretty annoying cause I like the idea of these masks because they are just perfect worldbuilding.
Ps: This no hate against you, Bhvr or black people, I just dislike that I couldnt have ever played with them

  6. The same flawed ideology 4:28 Instead of reclaiming the original meaning as an ancient religious icon in various Eurasian cultures, you cancel/remove it, thus surrendering its meaning to the bad ppl. Same with Bubba's face, I don't think they added it in the game for racist reasons, so the original meaning was an innocent one, but because it is banned now it will be remembered as the bad folks want you to remember it as. In short, you are validating evil instead of combating it.

  7. I don’t get how a video game of people getting chased by a crazy killer is banning little stuff like this. It’s understandable that people feel attacked because of racist people making a game feature racist but all you have to do is ban those people that do that. The game is literally about chasing and murdering people and y’all wanna get rid of some masks because people want to be dumb!?

  8. My issue with removing the masks are that it doesn't stop someone from being racist. Chances are if someone is trying to be offensive, removing a skin isn't going to stop them.

Treat the root of the issue and ban the individuals causing the issue.

  9. Not to mention, the Jake Mask, the reward for Leatherface if 25 Sacrifices made on Jake Park.

It's also a reminder to another Racial Face, Yellowface, a practice used on Non Asian Actors back in the 1930s to make them look like an Asian Person.

In which the Jake Mask is getting removed due to fears that it can be harmful to the Asian Community, just like the Claudette Mask.

  10. I can see it from both perspectives. The ones against are mainly those who hate that it's unfair that BHVR are essentially removing content and not properly compensating for it. If I had Leatherface, I'd probably be mad about it as well. However… BHVR is trying to protect it's community, especially in a time were people are more sensitive over this stuff. Removing all of the masks is actually fair, not just Claudette's. Jake is Asian, so the racist jerk-wads would just start using his mask as "yellow face" and harass Asian streamers playing DBD. And only removing Claudette and Jake's masks would still cause controversy as it would leave the message "It's okay to kill people as long as they're white". So it's better to remove all the masks. Personally, I think it would've been better not to have the masks in the first place. But hey, a little late for that.

  11. and this is why I don't fuck with the internet. it doesn't resemble Blackface at all, it's literally the SKIN of an African American, it's not mocking them in any way. Just because a small percentage of the community abuses it doesn't mean you punish the whole game. Behaviour just loves taking Ls for each update, sad to see these cool skins go.

  12. Saying “African-American” is worse than saying Black because they could 1. Not be American and 2. That phrase could be seen as you calling them Sub-American when you wouldn’t call a white person “European-American”. Just my two cents

  13. This game has a lot of flaws, Freddy is literally a pedophile, Cheryl and the stranger things characters are minors and Myers kills baby sitters still in high school so he technically killed minors so he should be out too. Twitch and the dbd staff need to do more on monitoring chats and their players then just doing the easy thing and removing conetent they could have easily replaced the mask with something new but new content requires work and they don’t seem to like to put in work.

  14. don't play dbd, and glad I don't.. you can tell these players are not horror fans, if they are offended by this. horror is suppose to be gruesome and dark. and heck, if LF didn't wear the mask of a black victim, that would be more racist, it shows he refuses to wear their face at all.

  15. If anyone defends them keeping the masks in, please reevaluate your morals and ways of using common knowledge to come to conclusions. It's disgusting and should be removed, idc if it's his lore, oh well, he still has a face on so why complain especially if it's being used in such a horrible way.

  16. everyone in the comments saying “but it’s part of bubbas lore!! everyone camps and tunnels!!! removing the masks won’t remove racists!!” is CLEARLY missing the point. Either they didn’t watch the video or just chose to blatantly ignore it

  17. Ppl arguing is not blackface yet ignoring the fact that players have been using it as blackface. The intentions in the game were to keep the spirit of Bubba alive, but clearly ppl don’t have the maturity for that. So yeah, it’s good that it’s being taken down
