hey all, this will be the last DBD video on my channel probably for a long time. I'm uploading it because it was already done, and so you all can see it! But i'm deleting after about a day or so along with most Dead by Daylight content on my channel. Thanks for understanding!
sssooo, no one is going to ask what made this drastic decision?
Wait, why you leaving?!
goodbye king ☹️
Maybe keep some? I listen to your videos while cleaning the house please dont take my joy away
Damn everyone is burnt out on DBD 💀
Hey Yerv, love you and your content. You're a fantastic creator, but I feel like I'm out of the loop. I understand you no longer want anything to do with DbD based off the direction the developers have been taking and how the creativity is shot. I get it, honestly, I do. But deleting everything? Cutting everything off? This feels like a little more than just being fed up with a game. This feels like you're trying to say something drastic, like a final goodbye before you leave everything behind.
Please remember that we do love you as a community and as your fans, and you don't have to suffer for us, so go ahead and do as you please, but I feel as if you've been changing lately. You've been swearing, and that barely ever happened about a year ago. It seemed like you tried to intentionally stay as family friendly as possible. I don't know, it all just feels sudden, but maybe it's because I'm not caught up.
My theory on these changes is that you somehow escaped the Mormon church or something insane like that, and if you did, props, but I genuinely can't figure out what caused these decisions. I don't know if I'm reading too much into it, or if it is what it is. Just know we love you, and we're here for anything you upload! I personally can't wait to see potential Outlast Trials, Silent Hill 2 Remake, and other awesome videos in the future! Keep your chin up, Yerv! <3
I love you all the way to the bottom of my toes. No matter the content, you give me big biggies. Keep it up, bud.
Thank you for all the DBD content over the years! I look forward to seeing your new work — I've already enjoyed the Fears to Fathom vid and such! Best vibes!
Yrs ago a friend and I would watch your dbd vids and laugh sm. your meme builds and personality greatly inspired our perspective on the game goofin around. I’ve taken a couple of breaks from the game, but each time I'm tempted to come back I’m reminded of some of your dbd vids :^p rlly hope you’re vibing and having fun w what all else you do—will have to stop by streams again to see yerv at it again <3
The content you made covering indie horror games like the fears to fathom series was genuinely my favourite content on this channel. I enjoyed the DbD uploads and it's what initially got me into your content so i will forever be grateful for it but the lack of any uploads was upsetting. i hope this change in direction suits you, your channel and your health best. I'll definitely be sticking around for the future uploads, maybe try Outlast Trials? I saw another comment mention it and I feel that could fit your style of content nicely. Best of luck in all your endeavours, hope you're doing well 🙂
Can someone archive them for the community? 😢
wow, that's a very harsh descision. can't say for everyone else, but it makes me pretty sad. to think about, your videos were always goofy and cheerful, highlighting the best parts of this game, showing that it still can be played in a non-competitive way.
once again, it's your channel and you can do whatever you want
I understand that you're tired of dbd (I've taken lengthy breaks from it) but please don't delete your old videos. I wish you well regardless.
I wish there were more fear from fathom parts so you can cover them 😭
Thank you, Yerv.
Rest in piece, burger king myers 🪦🕊
I’m really curious king in what happened to u not liking dbd anymore but i understand too, because i stopped playing dbd also ever since black ops 6 came out.But i will miss ur dbd videos man, thank you king
The curse is that they didn't release an oiled up, sweaty topless carlos skin and that's how this game fell off.
Good on you to be honest, watching you play other games is even more entertaining. Wishing you the best of luck!
I 100% subscribed for you and not for dbd. will continue to watch no matter what you play!!
how funny that this is my first video from you. well, i will check out your non dbd content!
Always in my heart yerv❤️
Quit a few years ago myself, congratulations on breaking McCote's Curse. I will miss some of the old trashgame vids for unhealthy reasons but am looking forward to actual interesting games in the future c:
I think I was one of your early viewers. I haven't watched many of your videos now but I wish you luck in your next steps!
Been playing DBD for a few years and it has gotten incredibly stale lol,, its probably smart to break away from it. Good luck with streaming yerv.
>>Side note, links/names for the songs of the vid? (If possible)
Your dbd videos help me go to sleep… sad to see them go
Damn Yerv, you are literally one of my favorite content creators not just for dbd but in general, I'm really going to miss your goofy antics and whole vibe basically. I re-watch your videos a lot, like I think I've re-watched all of them at least twice. I don't know exactly what happen to make you come to this decision, but if it makes you happy or just more at peace, it was a blast watching you for all these years, the no-ed army is still strong GGs Yerv gg
Oh snap, this is just Dbd related, you're still uploading that's great, I really liked the long form content like Fears to Fathom, though I know editing that can be rough, I look forward to this new chapter in your content. I hope it's more horror related stuff but I wouldn't mind at all if it was something else.
it's been a good time yerv. you've always had such a positive personality and took a lot of stressful things in this game in stride. thanks for all the laughs, i'm looking forward to seeing more diversity in your streams when i pop by. your indie horror game videos have been some of my new faves!
I only subbed for dbd content. Soooo bye
Why are you deleting all your dbd content? You are one of the few dbd content creators I actually found funny. I’m curious what made you want to leave dbd
Sad to see you leave dbd, yerv, but if it makes you unhappy, i hope you find something that does make you happy instead! i hope you'll still upload long gameplay videos of whatever you play. its already habitual for me to fall asleep to your looping compilations that even my dog knows it's time to go to bed when he hears your voice. 🙂 looking forward to your new gaming content, whatever it may be.
Yerv reading some of these comments is really sad… like my god the duality of man. The audacity for someone to be like “I’ll be unsubbing for now” like cuh with entitlement like that ima guess they play dbd survivor 11 hours a day😂. But anyways, considering that one comment u left to that guy when he said “switch off your main game” and you said what’s my main game is straight fax. I’ll BE subbing because I’m getting into horror shit now❤ GL yerv you’re a brilliant sigma, and I’m sure you’re built like old Quentin☢️⛎🛐
I honestly didn't watch you for DBD, I watch you because of you. However, I think you should just unlist your videos and put them all in a public playlist. As far as I know, they won't appear in the public anymore or the videos tab, but will still be accessible for those who still wish to watch them.
That being said, I hope to see you grow and move on to whatever you like, it's a joy watching you.
I will miss your dbd content, but I'm happy you're moving on to content you will enjoy making. Some others may not understand, but you're doing this for yourself and your happiness, which is more important. Do your thing, and thanks for all the laughs over the years. Love you Yerv!
I saw the tweets but it's different now with context. Yours was by far my most favourite DbD channel and I loved rewatching old videos (watched a few just yesterday!) so I will miss all of them greatly. That said, I fully understand and support your decision. I don't know if you're only quitting DbD or if you're done with youtube/streaming in general? If you still do variety I will always be there to support you, if not then thank you so much for all these years and I wish you all the best <3
edit: alright saw some comments and i guess you're still streaming so hooray for that!
also i noticed you renamed the dbd vids you're keeping up so that's funny 😭 i'm sorry it ended so sourly for you
Yerv, I will miss your insane looping, rat plays, and hilarious clips. You have always been one of my favorite content creators, ever since I found DBD when I started in 2020. Watching you has definitely taught me how to have fun in the game and improve, but I understand the decision to move forward and that things change. I'm excited for any content you put out, and I'm here to stay in any direction you take the channel. Much love! <3
o7 DbD
I look forward to more goofy Yerv streams.
I cant agree with deleting your dbd content, your content was unique and it wasnt like any other dbd youtuber, and I will miss your videos. I respect your decision and understand why you want to shift the focus of your channel, but surely there is a way you could at least upload your videos to another channel instead of making them go away forever, or just dont delete them to begin with. Dbd may be dead for you, but not for everyone else, it's sad to see you give up
Damn…
While I hate to see great content deleted off the internet, I did check your last DbD VOD and I fully understand where you are coming from. Don't really know what else to say, but I wish you the best regardless!
Yerv your personality and goofiness is what got me to watch you and I found truly it doesn’t matter what you play it’s always entertaining ❤ I loved all the DBD so much and hope you continue to do well 🐀
One last one for the road. Your decision breaks my heart, but it's not mine to contest. Good luck.
I've been following your work for a long time now and from all the videos I saw on DBD yours were always the ones that made me laugh the most / I enjoyed the most (Quentin was my first p3 bc of you) and it's obviously a bit sad to see you also delete a lot of your old content (I LOVED the several hour long looping vids to study) but I completely respect what you do with your channel. I wish you the best and I hope you can find new passions and create new projects! I'm looking forward to it, keep up the good work yerv 🙂
maybe not delete but at least private them in a playlist? So that if people want to they can find it, but they just won't ever be recommended
Yerv I understand and respect your decision to pivot away from DBD, but as a long-time fan I urge you not to delete the videos.
Ive had rough times and your videos have helped immensely and I have enjoyed your content continuously, as well as go back and enjoy your older dbd videos. Deleting them all feels disrespectful to fans who've loved you for so long, but also to yourself. I can't compherend the amount of time you must've spend on these videos and losing all your work might not be heartbreaking immediately, but 5 years down the line – it most certainly will. I have deleted and removed many projects over the years, both irl and online, and I regret it immensely.
Admittedtly to, the justification of 'the game isn't good so therefore i dont want to show you guys it' really sounds holier than thou, as if we aren't all people with our own thoughts and opinions. 'Therefore, I think it's better for myself and my community to not experience DBD' is incredibly patronising and makes me not want to associate with you. I enjoy your content but you don't get to choose how I live my life, and the assertion that you get to make those choices for me is honestly straight up rude and mean-spirited. I haven't touched DBD in months and yet I would still watch your videos because I enjoy watching the game, and you. I don't mean this in a rude way, but looking at your comments I feel immensely disrespected as if I don't have the free will to decide what I can and cannot do.
To me, it sounds a lot like you don't want us old fans around anymore because this is such a drastic, upsetting and honestly patronising move. Good luck in the future, but I honestly don't want to stay on this ship if you're piloting it this way. The fact that people in your comments section are doing mental health checks on you should speak as to how baffling and confusing your own community (of which you are so desperate to protect) find your decisions. I urge you to think long and hard about deleting your old content. I won't be sticking around regardless, but losing those videos would make the internet a worse place, and there are other ways to state your opinions rather than punishing the people who enjoy your content.
I'm really going to miss your Dbd content. I hope that one day you'll return to the game if bhvr decides to put more effort into their game and community.
9:15 – Fun fact! In the new Half-Life 2 commentary, they talk about an invention they have called dangerous_autosaves. The game sees you pass through a trigger and makes an autosave, but only keeps it in memory. Then, they harden it into a real autosave IF the player survives for 30 seconds. It wouldn't help Yerv because he quicksaved, but anyway.
And if you're worried about the appearance of old content, don't worry man, my channel still has "My Little Pony" animations on it.
I definitely do not understand your decision. It’s perfectly reasonable to leave the game, people do it all the time and it can often be beneficial for people’s mental health given how toxic that game can be, but I cannot fathom why you want to delete all your old videos. Those two things just don’t line up at all. Not to mention that DbD is so incredibly far from being a dead game.
