  1. TL:DW: Dead by Daylight Gameplay hasn’t changed much, new content is lackluster, DBD is feeling stale after two poorly received chapters and BHVR don’t appear to want to make any significant (read risky) changes to their game. Thoughts?

  2. I know they won’t do it, but imo, I think they should delay the chapter, say that they’ve heard the feedback, and just start from the ground up and try to either fix the skull merchant or just scrap the idea and do something else.

  3. They could've also just made a neat mechanic within the game like this:
The game counts the amount of solo queue players in the game they are loading in to and the perks will change accordingly
what I mean by that is that Eruption would still remain the same way it used to be before in a SWF and if the game detects there are 2 survivors in the Lobby who are solo queue it will adjust the perk accordingly to the new nerfed version.
That's how I'd go about it and the killer would get it as an indicator before the match starts the perk icon might just change the color from purple to orange like the old teachables or something like that.
Maybe that would be a neat way to balance out perks for SWF and Solo Queue.
It would definitely make it more work for the devs but also more fun for both sides because then you can only complain about the perk being too broken in either SWF or Solo Queue and not both at the same time.

  4. Even the survivors feel lackluster. Like they have no connection to the killer other than being a witness to one kill. I know that survivors don’t always have a connection to their killers but it makes it cooler when they do. Also idk if anyone else feels the same but their backstories read like an elementary school setup to some math question.

“Thalita loves to fly kites with her brother, Renato. Thalita has five kites, but one hits a drone in the sky. How many kites does Thalita have left?” Like 💀 not sorry, their backstory is boring as hell. Like we just got a psychic ghost hunter, and some dude with magical tattoos from the medieval ages. And now we have the kite siblings….💀

  5. I stopped playing dbd over half a year ago over the frustration I was consistently feeling. The nerfs and buffs rarely seemed sensible to me anymore and I just wasn't enjoying it. I don't hate the game, but the direction they're moving in is definitely wtf invoking.

All things considered, this should be seen as a massive opportunity for other devs to move in with a new asymmetrical horror game.

  6. I’m just worried because they just keep releasing this killers that are only viable using them to hold 3 gens which is how any killer can play and is the most boring aspect of the game. While easy for killer it’s so boring for survivor. Also people can say whatever they want but camping and tunneling became more of a problem after they hard nerfed ds. You didn’t have to run old ds just because the threat of it was there and made killers play very different. They just sucked the fun right out of playing survivor. When I play killer all the survivors bring the best of everything because they’re so used to play against the sweatest killers ever. So when I try and play chill or for fun I get stomped on: I hate having to sweat every single game to even kind of have a chance.

  7. Well said. I'm not getting this chapter. There is nothing fun about this killer, as or against. Scare factor is and has gone down. They still think it's 1v1v1v1v1. Meanwhile, it actually is 4v 1 and efficient survivors broaden that gap. Survivors want to 1 v 1 the killer(except scared beginners). This game is balanced for beginners ONLY and that's because of randomness. 6 years of bad loop design is factual and then there's dead hard, still meta, meanwhile, pop, ruin all but eliminated. Stop listening to the beginner players Devs!

  9. They should focus on adjusting more old perks, items, powers, add-ons
Instead of releasing 500 chapters.. how many killers and survivor will we end up having? DLC's do sell, but people are quitting the game.

  10. I've been playing DBD since before the Pig came out. This is the first chapter that I will not be buying with shards or real money. The game is getting stale and the pool of ideas are drying up. IMO BHVR really needs to stop the new killer/survivor chapters and need to just focus on adding more variety to the game. We need new game modes. We need more maps. I really believe that BHVR have begun to run out of ideas and have backed themselves into a corner.

  11. Imagine Bots replacing a disconnected player: unlimited erruption and jolt and free pain resonance for the killer. I would rather play 3vs1. But wait…bots are actual stronger than most of my mates in soloq. LETS GOOO!

  12. I really think think they missed the mark on this killer. From the get go the drones seemed underwhelming for just giving you information. There's already perks that do that exact thing better. I personally thought having a way smaller range combined with an area slow would make it feel way more unique and useful. Another idea would be to be able to throw drones in a chase to say block a pallet from being thrown or to block a window for x amount of seconds at the cost of a movement speed debuff and a chance to miss if thrown wrong. So many ways to use drones and they chose the most boring and easy thing for survivors to play against. Even Trapper's traps can be very hard to see on a lot of maps unlike a flying drone.

  13. I dont disagree with you, but its ok that they had a dud chapter. Id rather it not be a dud obviously, but people are making wayyy too big of a deal about it. I sense other issues coming out from everyone. Its going to be ok.

  14. This is why bhvr should reach out to the community and take ideas from them for killer and survivor concepts maybe even allow custom made maps and based on upvote rates they get added to the game. Just make survivors oblivious inside the zones and have the drones move slightly in the direction they were places in like a proximity it make her much better.

  15. I agree on everything except for what you said about the "THWACK!" Perk. That Perk is going to make Nurse and Blight even stronger, because they can move quickly around the map and force Deam Man's Switch activation in an area by breaking something with Thwack. Because this Perk doesn't just reveal the auras, it also makes the affected Survivors scream, which interrupts the actions.

Hands down the worst Mori in the game though!
