Overall the patch was great but the Knight is still a massive disappointment.

  1. Survivor queue times are about to skyrocket especially while this event is going on. They are buffed plus event incentives to rush gens. No killer is going to want to play with that going on.

  2. As a Knight main I hear his complaints, BUT I am a dude who swings with a huge sword and his gameplay is fun for me. Love the mind games of guard placement, and learning the strengths and weaknesses of each guard and how to use them best.

Bummer you think he’s a fail but he’s rejuvenated my love for the game.

  3. I still think the icons could have been entirely scrapped for just seeing survivor auras on hook being basekit. So far the icons have just made it easier to see who's being useless, but haven't improved my escape rate in solo. Whenever I run kindred, I almost never get left on hook and the team generally gets at least a 2 out unless it's a sweaty killer. I don't care what my teammates are doing. I don't care who's in chase. But I should be able to see other survivors auras and vice versa when someone is hooked without having to run a freaking perk. That information is so crucial to saves and swf gets it for free anyways. But I've given up hope in BHVR. They can't fix something without breaking something else.

  4. what upsets me about Knight is that he doesn't use the CTRL key, i honestly do not understand why we have to physically go to a deployed Guard and hit him in order for him to stop… why can't we just look at him and press CTRL? or even M2 again
i like Knight but man, he is full of weird design decisions

  5. The Knight really disappoints me. I wish he didnt have the gimmick of those damn goons and some other power instead because I very much enjoy his visual design. Same goes for artist tbh, I would say Artist is in most people top 5 for least fun killers to play against but her design is so damn cool

  6. To be fair, the knight is far from the first killer to have a low skill ceiling. If we are talking about kits, pig, legion, Myers, Krueger, onryo, they all have kits that don’t take a genius to optimize. Doesn’t mean they aren’t fun. Just that you don’t get those super cool plays with them because how are you supposed to?

  7. UI :
Solo's getting much closer to swf's in terms of info distribution is a great thing, so is giving people the oppurtunity to pay perception and be rewarded if their game sense told em the right thing to do. Kill rates are too high as of right now anyway and the victim's will obviously be the weaker Killers (Onryo,Pig etc) and eventually those with certain skill expression and lots of weak add-ons (PHead,Billy), which could certainly make use of another incentive to get em buffed and tighten the Killer power gap.

    Eyries :
I think the pallet density and distribution is a bit through the roof. Even when they shrinked the map by…estimated 25% – 30%, the couple times I played on this map I got stalled into oblivion because sooo many pallets and pretty good tiles being pretty close to each other. Chasing a somewhat good Survivor with Windows of Oppurtunity through this map if you're not playing a Killer that's supposed to have fast chases feels like a pain but considering I've only played half a dozen games on this map, maybe I was just unlucky.

    On Knight :
    – The haste buff is usually rather irrelevant and barely compensates the time deploying your guard a little bit.
    – The by far best buff on him is the stealth deploy, with game sense and/or info perks as you can get free chases/stall with your guards. Surveillance's great.
    – The skill expression of Knight is purely based on decision making, every time you misplace a guard, you lose valueable time.I personally think it's rather satisfying to get a guard to chase someone immediately after a long range deploy that was purely based on prediction (and sometimes audio/blood tracking) but maybe that's just not your cup o tea.
    – I think Knight as a whole is designed to be a tactical Killer with more reliance on…"Macro play" (or was is micro, I keep confusing these lol)? but with a different twist than Trapper and Hag because having a 3rd Killer that placed traps would've certainly been more boring, no matter which additional mechanics they put into it. But these are also the types of Killer that don't appeal/satisfy everyone playing 'em. While Trapper's beartraps CAN feel good due to their heavy impact, Hag's traps just feel like "meh" all the time. Port-Hit-Replace Trap and keep doing your thing. I personally enjoy Knight a lot but I can understand why others wouldn't.

  8. If you are in a corner and you get hit by the knight then that is on you. Stop going to dead zones. Next update a mighty cloud puff will come in and lift survivors off their feet and take them to the nearest safe pallet.

  9. If they made the guards faster, but have dodgeable attacks (run to the side at the right moment) that could be more interesting. Like, the chases would be much shorter, and involve some skill and timing from the survivor.

  10. The solo que icons are really nice.Especially against stealth killer. If there is a ghostface you dont have to look around all the time if you can see your teammates gets chased.

If the killer has eruption you can atleast try to predict that your teammate is gonna go down

  11. I have to disagree with some of the knight opinions after these changes, but I do agree that one of the biggest problems is the gen kick meta. I tried playing him without the gen kick perks, (aura reading perks and pain resonance as only slowdown) and I've had good fun setting up the guards and chasing survivors a bunch, he is completely unfun to play when you use the gen kick meta perks as his main focus. I do agree that there's not much skill to the knight when it comes to cornering a survivor, forcing survivors to hold W to a corner of the map isn't that fun, so I think his power needs rework in that aspect.

  12. I feel like a way to make Knight better is instead of being stationary and sending out the Route for his summons

Is make him instead able to move around and point with his finger or sword and be able to, I guess "draw" the routes instead

  13. Knights actually can camp better with the buff because the guards start a chase and hit faster than you can unhook if he starts it over 10 meters away, then he can chain hit you. Happened to me yesterday

  14. Blight is basically rng based. He'll either work as intended, slide off of every little thing, or straight up swing straight past survivors even though they were right in front of him. Stronger than most killers but utterly ass in general

I'm for one with the Japanese community they were right Americans are way too spoiled especially in the survivor community they honestly should have just learned to get good having so much information is outlandish everything is starting to become all about efficiency which I understand some people want to play like that but that's kind of part of the nuance of the game was you didn't always know where to be but now you know everything it's it's just a symptom of American gaming it's just the true Scott be honest with yourself people suck gamers are horrible these days
