Wraith and Autohaven never made sense for me. Why is Wraith’s name bob? Is bob another killer? Definetly the most wild DBD theory I have made.

By the way, I have a Discord server: https://discord.gg/5aXhE3Jk
And a Twitch Channel as well: https://www.twitch.tv/mintskullyt

  1. I am always so excited to see an upload from you, MintSkull. Have you ever discussed the numbers that are listed on the blighted injections on each of the character's blighted cosmetics? They are all unique from what I have seen. Well, I can't get a look at Doctor's though. It's hard to read or it's illegible entirely. I would love a breakdown on that from you!

  2. Honestly this is a good theory.
Considering Billy is a bootleg Bubba and Trapper a bootleg Jason, a bootleg Myers aka Bob would've fit perfectly as a kickstart for the game and I bet this was the original route the devs were heading if they didn't get the Myers license so early.

As I said in the 5 facts vid, a chapter takes months to develop and if it's a licensed one, the deal is struck months if not a year before the chapter's release.

So what do I belive that really happened : They had Trapper, Billy, Bob, and Wraith planned with mcmillan, coldwind, autoheaven and swamp for release while working on the teacher/nurse and their chapter release, but they managed to get the Halloween license. Getting this license meant Bob couldn't come into the game and so they merged him (lore wise) with Wraith and then postponed the Swamp map, released the Nurse's chapter a month earlier then probably planned and then release the Halloween chapter on 25th of October in 2016. (fun fact: The original Halloween movie was also released in 25th of October in 1978).

Another thing that I want to point out is Michael's model in-game. As a Halloween fan myself, it kinda annoys me that he barely looks like in the original movie as, in Halloween, Michael is a thin 5'10 (1.78m) guy and his coveralls are actually tex green (the lighting made it look blue), while here in Dbd he is a tall, muscular guy with blue coveralls. So here is my second theory: I belive Michael's model is actually Bob's model which was altered in order to resemble Myers, while Bob's face/mask was copypasted onto Wraith, then altered, which also explains why Wraith's face looks confusing.

If you made this far congrats, ik there is lots to read here.

  3. Wow, this is a great video MintSkull! I think with the amount of evidence you showed in this video, the theory has pretty good strength to it. If we manage to find the tweet/thread as well, it'll be practically confirmed! Right now though, it seems like this is a very logical explanation. Or perhaps I've been studying too much Elden Ring lore, I don't know!!

  4. I truly believe your theory to be true. It doesn’t make sense there would be a leatherface ripoff, a Jason ripoff and not a Micheal Myers one. They lost likely got the Halloween license and put Wraith in the Autohaven map as a replacement, then changed his lore.

  5. Wraith's lore never made sense to me. If your theory is right this would mean that BHVR potentially butchered an interesting character just cause they felt they needed to assign each realm to different killers. That's just sad

  6. Hey here's some more evidence you know how swamp had a village map? I think that map was supposed to be the wraith map it fits design wise and kinda reminds me of africa kinda (could be just me tho) along with the big tree map which could kinda explain why he has the tree design. And that could also be why those two maps werent released. And the other two maps were for hag

  7. I love wraith. He’s a very melancholy character and that sadness permeates his design in a very subtle way. My favorite thing about him is how he stands with his head tilted, his eyes staring off into the distance; he looks like he’s spaced out and just thinking about the past. He seems very traumatized. He’s an immigrant; a stranger in America, a stranger forever in the realm of the entity.

  8. There is a cutscene of wraith where he as a child burned down some weaponed men. But he also catched fire, thats why he looks like this. But he found a stick on the ground and rang his bell.

  9. I always thought Hag and Wraith shared a weird number of similarities in their powers and general look, so I definitely buy that Wraith was originally meant to be the swamp killer. Ironically, Hag has a similar problem with having an English name with an implied rural village backstory and her tome being set in 70s America. It's like they threw darts at a board when writing her lore.

  10. I really like this idea and you come to a conclusion that fits in a way that makes sense for those who follow BHVR. Wish we could see a fully fleshed out version of "Bob". One thing aside, I don't know if it's ever been mentioned but Wraith's "mud masks" look like they also take some inspiration from the masks in the performances of Olivier de Sagazan. His performances with clay and mud covering his face and upper body are eerie and unsettling, and can be seen here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gYBXRwsDjY

  11. These are actually so entertaining, and I’m learning stuff when I thought I knew even the weirdest archived information about this game, great unique content keep it up

  12. i like this video! because i've wondered the same thing. The Wraith seemed so out of place with everything. but if we did give him the swamp. where does that put hag? was she the filler killer after they gave wraith the A.H.W.? and then there is her lore. ahhhhhhhhh this game 😀

  13. Wouldn't surprise me if the wraith was going to be a dlc killer that was pushed forward in development to replace bob. All dlcs had about a 2 month gap between them besides hag and doctor which was about a four month gap so i'm thinking that maybe wraith was meant to be one of the first three dlcs to the game but when they got the halloween IP they scrapped wraiths whole dlc which would've consisted of a more fitting map.

Maybe repurposing wraith was easier since if hag and wraith released as dlcs then that would've been two dlcs in a short time frame that both consisted of swamp like maps. The devs had to choose either hag or wraith to replace bob and went with wraith as it would be easier.

  14. This wasn't as wild of a theory as you think, when you said (I bet you're thinking even springtrap conspiracy theories make more sense than mine) I don't think anyone watching would've actually thought that. It's a really good theory with really strong evidence

  15. I'd like to think that Bob was just some generic killer guy that the entity threw away because he got too boring, and I want to say that either the Entity corrupts those within it, hence the race swap with Meg and Claudette, but either Dwight is not dwight but David, or I want to make the assumption it is Vigo

  16. Blew mind, wraith fitting the swamp so well and being the only original killer that doesn't take any inspiration from an iconic just makes too much sense. But it would also make sense as to why Hag came so late, they had the maps but had to create a whole new killer for it

  17. Honestly I’ve always found Wraith’s lore to be incoherent, so what you mentioned makes A LOT of sense. I mean, when did a relatively normal guy with really bad luck (and a considerable amount of physical strength) became a supernatural being with invisibility powers?
