  1. 2 things that would be great for the iridescent shards monetization if cosmetics or original characters are gonna be this expensive at least do these 2 things im gonna mention, 1, rework the devotion system, every time when you start leveling up you would have like 50 to 100 shards after reaching a new devotion level and the the highest amount is 300 shards after you reach level 50 and once you hit level 100 and once you reach a new devotion level give us 1000 shards or more at least, 2, their are so many players that have well over 100k shards and some of them don't even use them why not add a feature where you can type in a certain amounts of shards or bloodpoints like lets say im give 9k shards so this person can go buy a new original character or im 5 levels away from get to p100 and im 500k bloodpoints shorts give them 500k bps and they can finish their grind instead of having to spend time wasting 50 party streamers to get the amounts of bloodpoints so why not have a feature to give someone amount of shards or bloodpoints when they don't want them, LIKE COME ON NOW its 2023 not 2016 you goofs

  2. Dbd always had trouble holding newer players I'd say. Progression is only but one of those major factors to that issue. Having to climb a mountain to get into the game is horrible. To think it has been neglected for years on end. You would think a complany would want to cater to as many potential customers as possible to then thus potentially sell as many of their ''products'' as possible. Such as dlc, cosmetics etc. A wasted oppertunity is what this is!

  3. I just thought of this question. Unlike most, I like human killers, I think humanizing is way more terrifying than any monster. My question is do you think a non-human survivor could fit into the game. I always thought it was cheesy but cool if we got a robot survivor along side with Haux

  4. haven't watched the video yet so im assuming it has something to do with how long it takes to unlock non licensed characters, and you are right, like theres to many characters and a coupole hgundred hours to grind to get all the non licensed killers

also i just hit 2200 hours, thank god i was here when they had a 50% off sale for all killers

  5. I'm fairly new to the game and I've already kind of started to drift away from it because I don't have that many killers to play around with, I've unlocked a few but it's such a grind to unlock just one that it gets old after a while playing the same Killers over and over again.

  6. I have a suggestion to solve the shard problem. Why don't they make there a percentage in the daily challenges, such as 5% Obtaining a difficult challenge gives you 300 shards, and if 300 is a lot, they reduce the number. The most important thing is that there is another way that gives you shards

  7. Iri shard gain rate is indeed terrible. I managed to unlock every non-licensed character through iri shards and I was only able to do it in a semi-acceptable amount of time thanks to making smart use of the half-price iri shard sales on the characters AND the fact that DBD basically became my main/only game for the better part of a year when I first started playing. I always advise people if they have the patience to wait for those sales so they can get more value from their time-earned iri shards, but given the big gaps between those sales, it's not always viable and even more depressingly, cosmetic iri prices are never similarly discounted. I did notice some questions relating to iri shard gain rate in that recent satisfaction survey, so maybe there's a chance things will improve moving forwards.

The rift battle pass is the only relatively "fair" method of acquiring cosmetics without shard extortion, but of course that requires you to be able/willing to sink in a big chunk of time each season to get the value out of it, but at least the Auric Cells get refunded.

  8. Here's my ideas to make iri shards easier to achieve:

    1. Upon every rank reset, you receive 1000 iri shards.

    2. For every 10 levels of prestige, you receive half the half (500 shards). This could encourage players to level up their characters more.

    3. Implement a daily reward roulette system maybe?, so each day you have a chance to receive a random prize, possibly including iri shards.

  9. Another REALLY scummy thing that I don't see anyone talking about is the lack of green cosmetics on new characters. New characters get only yellow, brown, and purple skins because they know that green tier skins are just better value for your money. They literally held off on releasing thalita and renato's green tier skins and released them later as purples, pretty scummy shit.

  10. Behavior needs to look at how they monetize this game, because NONE of my friends want to get into it due to the barrier for entry. I tell them they have to BUY each licensed character (main draw of the game) and grind for each original, its practically fun repellent. They ask 'Why do I have to buy the game AND buy all the characters?' just feels bad man.

  11. Wait a minute, prestige is a goal for after you’ve done all the content?? WHAT CONTENT? You do gens and escape. On the other side you hit survivors and sacrifice them. That’s all the content there is! What else is there besides prestiging???

  12. I'm coming up on 400k shards with nothing to spend them on and genuinely wish I could give them to my friends who are newer to the game, or players who need them more. It's part of why I always vote for double XP whatever we are voting for an event or something. The shards. But other people do, the prices are disgustingly outdated

  13. The shrine needs to turn into a store, all perks should be available at all times with the option to exchange for bloodpoints. All perks should be available including universal perks as they can be a grind to get if you don't already have every perk maxed

  14. So few things:

The Switch version of the game has every OG character unlocked for free up to Spirit. For, I think, 30 dollars instead of steam's 20. Which is the cost of 2 of the Dlc's for PC (who also don't have Hag/Doctor while Xbos/PS does)

Second thing, it makes me worried for the A-sym space when the only other game with a player-base right now is TCM, who is releasing characters for 10 dollars EACH without ANYWAY to earn them in-game. (also not guaranteed to play the new character)

BHVR has such a great opportunity right now next chapter, or to even announce changes before then, to capitalize on TCM's pricing model. Your 1 competitor is 40 bucks from the gate while you're 20 on steam? Already a great start.

Then you announce you're making 12 characters, 6 on each side, free for all players? And making iridescent shards easier to get to grind for newer OG characters for free?

That would borderline kill TCM's chances of getting new players all the way until December where it MIGHT go on sale.

Feel like I also have to say: No, I do not want TCM to die out. I think both games price their DLC characters in a really stupid way and want them to do better. DBD just has a huge business opportunity right now, which in a business world, should be an obvious yes.

  15. I love how BHVR basically said screw those who put in all that work to get to p100 while also acknowledging how much work that takes 😂 I wasn't sure whether to laugh or mald at their reasoning for not having at LEAST a special skin for p100 players.

  16. I still wish there was a GOOD daily system and weekly system to keep people playing and reward us with more Iri shards. Hell even adding a butt load of shards into the deep rift is great cause the free track of the deep rift doesn’t even give us Bp

  17. Man i feel like this would be easily fixe for how much xp to level up should be 2200 not 4200. 2200 xp would be fine for the next level up and i agree everything else that you said as well

  18. Literally the easiest fix to this whole shards and not getting enough is just increase the amount you currently you get 65 or 75 the first few levels then it goes to 100 something then to 200 and 300 the first few levels easy fix make it give you 150 the first few levels then the other levels it gives what it currently does like I don’t agree shards are to difficult to get cause I get like 1000 to almost 2k shards In day granted I am at the higher level where you get 300 shards I can’t remember what’s the max shards you get, another way they could this is daily’s giving some sort of shards instead of bp but at the cost of them actually being somewhat difficult so you actually earn them say 75 shards I feel is right.

  19. And a person like who only plays killer and let’s be honest the base game is absolutely ass for killers what gen slow down do you get from the base killers you get thana and jolt that’s it ! And when the demo was still her you just had thana for any kind of slow down! So you if you want a decent gen slow down like dead or pain res you then have buy artist or pin head then level them up to 3 to get the perk tier 3 like holy shit why are new players let alone new killer players have to play with shittest perks in the game piss of bhvr I don’t wanna hear your bs when you know you could buff the base game perks but you refuse because your a bunch of greedy bitches

  20. For anyone wondering, this is the math behind xp/iri shard gain.

Those who want the short answer, it takes 3,400 hours of in game time to get all iri shard purchasable characters.

    4,200 xp gained = 300 iri shards
1 xp gained per each second spent INSIDE a match
Max xp per match = 600 xp (10 minutes)
    600 * 7 = 4,200
70 in game minutes = 300 iri shards
    70 minutes * 3 aka 300 iri shards * 3 = 210 minutes of in game time for 900 shards
    210 minutes * 10 = 2,100 minutes = 35 hours

35 hours of in match time for one 9000 iri shards, which is equal to ONE CHARACTER. That's 210 perfect 10 minute matches, not even guaranteeing that you'll be in that match for said 10 minutes or waste time going above. 18 survivors and 16 killers that are purchasable via iri shards (306,000 iri shards to be exact) will take you 3,400 in game hours to unlock. Not including load times, menu times, bp spending, just pure in match time. As an ex-comp player, I don't even have 3,000 hours yet on the game as a whole.

  21. seeing more talk in this game’s awful perk progression is something im so thankful for. the game should reward the dedicated with special cosmetics to show off, while not making the gameplay affecting stuff a hell to obtain (without just throwing money at the problem)
