She looks like karen
she is just so boring to play.
Summary, buy skimpy clothes, whine for 1 year that the killer is weak, behaviour keeps releasing skimpy clothing, whine another 2 years, gets over buffed then people whine to nerf the char, thats the quick guide how to play this char.
everytime i see rowby post something i always get a little happier thanks for making videos man <3
I know this is an unpopular opinion but for me, I've actually so far enjoyed The Skull Merchant. It's the first new killer I've enjoyed in almost a year. I had some fun matches both playing as survivor against her and also enjoyed playing her as killer. 🙂
Hornyborn : Unlike other beasts of The Fog, you have adapted to horny.
apparently the community has this and is able to reject
The purple addon that hinders them by 5% seems good until you realize it only works for 3 secs upon ENTERING the radius. So it takes either perfect coordination or timing to get any value from it. For reference, clowns toxin hinders by 15%. So she can do a 1/3 of the effect of clown with less consistency. I think her actual best Addon is the the one that reveals the survivor aura for 6s when they are in the radius. You can see it from anywhere and it lets you know exactly what they are doing near your drone. I use it for a totem build to protect my bones and its working pretty well.
I expected a terrifying robot killer. Not Evelynn from league of legends
I actually like the killer I don’t take peoples opinions seriously when a new killer gets announced.
Blight was said to be shit then he turned out to be the second best killer in the game
Knight same thing even tho he was middle of the pact then got a tweet and he turned into a top tier.
There’s more cause it happens every fucking time. Every new killer is said to be bad when they have only just been released
I’m getting a lot of mileage out of the Exhaustion add-on for the drones. Just leave drones on looping hotspots then any cheeky dead hard user suddenly finds themselves up shit creek without a paddle
Yay more jerks guide
Well they just removed Incapacitated from Eruption, so now there's no perks in the entire game that use it. So the status effect might as well be useless.
Major throwback to Dunderpatrullen. I felt 16 again.
6:50 That's the neat part! I didn't!
Actually been kind of enjoying skull merchant cause the pallet breaking brown addon singlehandedly makes her fun
She is fun to play against.
So far I love playing against her, she seems like a way more fun, intuitive, and fair version of the Knight. With him, getting good is literally just learning when your power will fuck you. After you learn that he takes 0 skill and becomes busted at zoning survivors. With her their is way more nuance and skill to her gameplay. More opportunities for counterplay as well. Fun for everyone, and she can become cracked with the right setup and experience. Zoning killers should never be overpowered without counterplay options. Just sucks that her torso, head, and legs look like they were designed by 3 different teams
zombie on a perk would be funny as shit but it would also probably be as impossible to balance as nemesis's existing zombies
When I first saw her, I was meh, but once I saw that she bedazzeled her gas mask, I was all in. lol
Where is the jerks guide to billy
WHERE IS THE JERKS GUIDE TO BILLY?
The thumbnail is on point😂
wow 14k to 78.5K subscribers in 2 years good stuff Rowby
Finally a reasonable mind among the cry babies.
This was a surprisingly merciful guide.
the only problem with this killer is her three gen design. She is pretty much a 20 minute 3 gen machine like Knight, even stronger than knight in this regards. She needs a rework of some kind since that isnt really a fun thing to play against, and i know for sure, people will start to run that build of Pain residence, overcharge, call of brine and no where to hide with her oblivious add on and hindred to basically stall the game out for 20 minutes. i literally saw it on my third game against her. She is like the knight, poorly designed but awesome esthetic.
Skull Merchant is what happens when you order the Predator off of Wish.
It was today I learned how much of my taste in media Rowby shares.
Man with the name "skull merchant" I was expecting something with more… pizazz if you will a basic m1 killer with power is disappointing. When I hear the name "Skull merchant" I think of a shop and a massive snowball effect. Like for every totem destroyed you get 3 points and you can spend those points on ranged attacks, attack speed, movement speed, stuff like that. Not a basic tracker that is easily avoided. Change the name at leat to "the watcher" or something! I could make a better kill right now!
The Skull merchant
Lore: at a young age our killer's family was on the lower end of money forced to take out loans from shady people and sell drugs to make ends meet.
When his parents couldn't make enough they were killed in cold blood in front of the child traumatizing him. Forced to survive by himself he swore to take revenge on the loan sharks by any means necessary.
Using heavy drugs to give him an advantage he killed all of them fulfilling his revenge.
He got addicted to the drugs and found the main ingredient is Blood and Blone. Forced to kill by his new found addiction when he was offered by the etinty for never ending blood to satisfy his needs.
Power: Blood Mixture
Able to make various "potions" by Hooking a survivor, hitting a survivor, downing a survivor, and or destroying a totem he will gain (unnamed points).
Totem: 1
Hitting a survivor: 2
Downing a survivor:3 (stacks with hitting)
Hooking: 5
Killing: 10
Mori:15
By opening his menu can make different potions with the
Speed buff: last 200 seconds
Unhealing wounds: when a survivor is hit it will take longer to heal, they will bleed longer, and will be excused for 20 seconds
Night sense: if a survivor is within 16 meters of your terror Radius they will be shown to you for 4 seconds
Smoke out: smash onto a locker to make the locker unavailable for 60 seconds
Things are not all and well. For every Concoction he uses it doubles to make is as effective as before
All I can think of right now.
I imagine the killer having a Massive snow ball effect. First by getting a totem or 2 then getting his speed boost, then he hits a survivor allowing him to trap areas, use night sense to locate survivors, the lost goes on.
Some add ons I thought up were
Iridescent brewery: it takes 2 uses of concautions to double its price
Iridescent steroid: doubles the use time of every concoction
That is what I think of when I think of the name "The Skull Merchant" is it perfect? Hell no. Do I think its a better fit? Definitely
Actually having fun with this character. She forces survivors to either take the time to position cover between them and the drone's passive beam, stay away from key areas, let the killer know exactly where they are, or get exposed and show the killer where they are. Area control for the win.
I recently thought of how they could 'rework' Skull Merchant at some point, considering she's supposed to be this high-society ultra rich character that is hunting for sport. Here's my full killer idea for a hyper-rich character. It's a long read.
Thematic change: Instead of being a "Merchant" she becomes a Streamer. Her gimmick is that she is an underground red-room streamer that streams to clients and gets paid very handsomely for causing pain, suffering, and death.
The Skull Streamer.
Drones: Have a much longer period before they are hackable, but no longer by default apply exposed build up. When they are placed, they also start in the "Scanning" mode. Manually activating a drone is removed. The default radius for a drone is larger.
Pressing Space while looking at a drone will recall it, as there is no longer a Radar.
Claw-traps: Completely removed. When a survivor hacks a drone, they are revealed with killer instinct for a short time.
Radar: Completely removed and replaced with a Shopping mechanic. Press and hold Ctrl for a moment to open the "Tools of Torture" app.
In the shop, she can spend earned revenue earned from her performance to upgrade her kit mid-match to make her more powerful the longer the match goes on and more difficult for survivors to escape.
While using the app, the killer will stand there and be unable to enter chase or interact with anything outside of the shop. Holding Ctrl again exits the shop and resumes normal gameplay.
How does she earn revenue? Why, from causing suffering of survivors on camera of course!
By injuring survivors inside the radius of a drone that is active, she gains a large amount of revenue that can be spent on upgrades with the Tools of Torture app.
Doing other things that hinder survivor progress or imply suffering also reward lesser amounts of revenue; these things include kicking generators, breaking boon totems, breaking walls and pallets, survivors screaming, and failed skillchecks by survivors.
Remember, you're trying to put on a show so if your audience witnesses you stumbling during your performance, expect to be paid less next time you would be paid; whenever you are stunned, blinded, or lose a survivor in chase on camera, you'll receive a debuff that reduces your next revenue reward by half (does not stack).
Doing any of these things outside of the radius of a drone rewards no revenue.
Revenue: What kind of things can I purchase in the shop??
By default, there would be five different things you could purchase, with more based-on the add-ons you bring to the trial.
1: $2,000 An extra drone. This can be purchased twice to have a maximum of six drones from four.
2: $800 A barricade that blocks windows. Can be purchased any number of times. Survivors can break the barricade by interacting with it and toolboxes speed up the process. A barricade is placed whenever the killer vaults through a window. The killer can also break the barricade by interacting with it (Sorry, no refunds).
3: $5,000 Electrify the Exit Gate Levers! Purchasable only once per trial, after all generators are completed. For the next 45 seconds, both exit gates will be electrified, injuring and possibly downing survivors that interact with them. Survivors can easily tell the levers are electrified, and once one person has been shocked this way, the electricity powers down and the levers can be interacted with normally.
4: $1,500 Extra scanners. Purchasable once. All your drones will now have an extra set of scanning lasers, doubling the amount from two to four.
5: $6,000 Freshly sharpened blades: Purchasable once. Your basic attacks now apply Deep Wound on survivors you injure.
Add-Ons: New add-ons would reflect the changes to the killer, giving you new opportunities for items in the Tools of Torture app.
6: Replaces the Barricade | $1,000 Spike trap: Can be purchased any number of times. Survivors that vault through a window with a Spike Trap will be injured. Injured survivors who vault through the Spike Trap will instead gain the Deep Wound status effect. Survivors who are affected by Deep Wound will be downed if they vault through a Spike Trap. If the Killer vaults through a Spike Trap, they will be Hindered for a short duration.
7: (Green) $2,000 Wide Lense Cameras: Purchasable once. All your drones will have an increased radius of 10 meters.
8: (Green) $800 High Frequency Alarm: Purchasable any number of times. The next time you place a drone, it will have a High Frequency Alarm attached to it. When it detects a survivor, it will release a deafening sound that applies the Deafen status effect to all survivors within a 20 meter radius for the next 15 seconds. The Killer is given a loud noise notification when this occurs. After the alarm goes off once, the effect won't happen again until the killer retrieves the drone and has purchased another alarm.
9: (Iridescent) Replaces An Extra Drone | $10,000 "The Cage!": When purchased, limits your maximum amount of drones to one and recalls all your currently active drones. All drones you place in the future will have double the radius, and prevent survivors from leaving the area when detected. If a survivor attempts to leave the area while "The Cage!" is active, they will be injured and possibly downed.
10: (Purple) Replaces Extra Scanners | $3,000 Pulse Scan: Purchasable once. Changes the scanners on drones to instead scan the entire radius in a pulse outward from the drone every 6 seconds.
11: (Purple) Replaces Electrify the Gate Levers! | $12,000 Generator Popper: Purchasable once per trial. This device can break a generator that's been fully repaired, reducing its progress from 100% to 50%, and changing the completed generator count to reflect this.
Other Add-ons could include things that increase the earned revenue from your performances.
(Iridescent) Compound Interest: Gain 1% of your current revenue amount every second. For every $1000, increase this effect by 0.5% up to 10% at $20,000.
(Purple) Blood Money: Gain double the amount of revenue for successfully injuring, downing, and killing survivors in a drone's radius.
(Green) Music to my Ears: Gain double the amount of revenue for screams in a drone's radius.
Revenue Values: How much do I get paid?
Injuring a survivor: $250. Downing a survivor: $500. Hooking a survivor: $250. Death-hooking or Mori a survivor: $2,000
Damaging a generator: $100. Failed Repair Skillcheck: $100
Failed Healing Skillcheck: $100. Breaking doors or pallets: $50
Screaming: $50.
This killer is the Tony Stark or Batman of killers, and should reflect it. High technology gadgets that have to be bought for high prices.
Bro why does she think she's luffy in the thumbnail
Good point… counter point… game sucks, killers suck, survivors are OP and have 30 builds while killers get "hit gen, make pop". Uninstall the game, life gets much better.
I dont play dead by daylight no more because I enjoy fun and happiness, Hillbilly was my main killer (that is if I could even get a match with the guy with a friggin 15 minute queue time), they added so much (and not alot of good from what I see) that makes me glad I left when I did
say hello to no heal legion
I'm so proud of you
I think the thing that bothers me the most about her is how she walks. She has to do this sexy dominatrix strut and besides the fact that the killer’s movement should be intimidating not thrilling, it doesn’t mesh well with her actual movement speed. More often than not when I look at her it just looks like she’s gliding across the ground like some sort of bootleg psychotic Michael Jackson
>Creates Thwack! to make survivors within 32m scream
>Makes scream distance cap out at 19m
Ohhh BHVR, you silly Quebecois.
cringe
I think people are forgetting that she’s basically the predator bhvr wanted to release but cant because they dont wanna pay the copyright.
I don't want to play dbd anymore.
Edgelord Karen Weeb. It's hard to believe that Trickster, wesker and Dredge are more fitting characters for the game.
She's like a pubg skin that bhvr was contractually obligated to use due to a failed crossover update
I feel like this is like the Melina you get from wish
Havent touched dbd since the iron will and calm spirit changes but i still gotta watch my mans
If only her mori and story focused more on the name 'Skull Merchant'…can you magine if her mori decapitated a survivor and her drone collected the head?…I know the character models dont support that, but it'd be neat if they did.
Literally predator with a Warhammer 40k make over
She’s garbage.
I haven't even played dbd in like a year or watched any content of it other than jerks guide
